Gideon looked at them glacially the moment he heard the conversation between them.

Freya was talking to Isaac excitedly, so she failed to notice the frosty stare coming from behind her.

Isaac certainly saw it, but he simply smiled without mentioning it. Instead, he took the pen when Freya handed it to him.

Freya reached her arm out. Isaac secured the shirt sleeve before signing his autograph.

Gideon was standing behind them as he watched. The moment he saw Freya and Isaac make skin contact, he looked even more annoyed.

Freya pulled up a stool near the dining table and sat down on the chair with her leg placed on the stool. She looked up at Isaac. “I am ready. Please sign it.”

Isaac raised an eyebrow as he leaned forward slightly.

Just as he was about to start signing, Freya’s leg fell off the stool. He raised his head and saw Gideon pulling Freya’s arm angrily. “Freya, you are at home. Do you look like a Mrs. Carter at all? Don’t you know it is inappropriate for you to have body contact with a guy?”
Freya raised her head and looked at Gideon. She felt a little afraid when she saw him throwing a temper. She suppressed her voice and said, “It’s just an autograph. Is it such a big deal?”

Gideon narrowed his eyes and pulled the woman away without even talking.

Isaac stood where he was, shaking his head. “I haven’t seen you in just a few months, but you are already so possessive…”
Freya was pulled straight to the bedroom by Gideon. He flung her onto the bed. “You better watch it. Don’t even think about getting close to Isaac!”
Freya hurt her back from the fall. She glared at the rough man and muttered, “Then, what about you?”

Despite her soft tone, Gideon heard her loud and clear.

“You can’t come close to me either!”

Freya rolled her eyes and got up from the bed to leave the room.

Gideon glanced coldly at her. “Where are you going?”

“Lam going to see Rebecca.” She was naturally unable to keep her tone calm and sounded a little annoyed when she answered.

“Why not?” asked Freya with a frown on her face.

“You need to know your place. You are simply a woman my father forced me to marry. Stop ingratiating yourself with my family.”

“Mr. Carter, can you be more reasonable? If you think I was trying to get close to Isaac by getting his autograph, I have nothing to say. The man asked rhetorically in a stern tone, “You? Are you good enough for Issac?”

Freya was furious. She did not know how to argue with this horrible man.

She said nothing as her face flushed red. Her breathing rapidly increased and it seemed as though she was about to cry at any moment.
They went into a stalemate for a few seconds until Freya suddenly looked at the man and said with a crying voice, “I hate you!”

After shouting at the man, Freya ran out of the room.

Gideon was stunned. Was she crying?
