HOTD: Legacy

A few days passed like a blur since they came back from the S.T.A.R.S. base. Like they have already discussed and ordered their men nothing of that information came to light. Soichiro and Rika were also fine from the next day. Nick had to say that both of them had really strong minds. If someone else in their place having PTSD was a small thing. Nothing worthwhile happened in these few days, like usual a few evolved zombies tried to get inside the perimeters but two of them were blasted into bits by the 50 cal, and the others were quickly taken care of by the snipers. A squad found a Jockey near the base and they took care of it without having a casualty.

Nick was currently on the roof with binoculars in his hand and while Saeko was sitting beside him in a relaxing manner and Saya on his other side playing with her laptop. Shizuka was not there since she went to fulfill her medical duties. She was really sad that she was unable to spend time with Nick but on other hand, she really had a thing for helping people. Nick had stopped trying to make Shizuka train and let her do what she wanted. It's not like that Nick wanted to force away from her passion but he at least wanted her to be able to defend herself but after he got her gun from the future he let her go and do what she wanted.

Saeko: Is there anything you are looking for Danna-Sama?

Saeko was quite bored since they didn't have any action for a few days and she stood aside when they raided the S.T.A.R.S. base. And the action she had wasn't enough to sate her thirst.

Nick: Nothing much... just looking around.

Saya: Aren't you a God or should be above a God?? So can't you just... look at the whole world?

Nick: It doesn't work like that... I am a concept but I cannot just peek onto when I am in this mortal world... If I am in my mom's realm I can do that but no God or Concepts are that much free to watch every mortal the whole day...

Saya: You know that sounded really rude...

Saeko: Saya-chan, don't think too much... at least think of this as a nice thing that no God or Concept would go out of their way and play with a mortal's life.

After hearing Saeko, Saya contemplated for a few moments before looking over Nick's face who was looking away. Noticing the gaze on hi Nick looked towards Saya.

Saya: Is it true?? I mean what Saeko-chan said?

Nick: No entirely... there are many kinds of Gods... some like to mess with Mortal lives. Some also have a fetish of sending mortals to a different world and make them a slave to a system. There are many kinds of Gods... some of them like descending on the mortal world and have fun with mortal women...

Saeko: Like you, Danna-Sama?

Saeko suddenly spoke up with a smile which wasn't a smile at all. Nick knew what that smile meant, it meant no kinky time so Nick answered hurriedly.

Nick: Nah... I am going to be honest with both of you. I came to this world because simply I was bored... Neither my mother nor I had much interaction with humans like the other members of my family. My mom doesn't even leave her realm and I was busy with my thrill-seeking... my family has interaction with humans because my father and his other wives run the cafe and my other siblings work among the humans.

Saya: Oh... I see...

Both Saya and Saeko became sad for some reason which Nick noticed, he thought that it must be because he told them that he came to this world because he was bored. Nick didn't ponder on it and continued speaking because he wasn't finished speaking.

Nick: But don't think I fell in love with any of you because of boredom... I am completely honest that I love each one of you.

Nick finished with full determination, both Saya and Saeko smiled from ear to ear after hearing that. Nick put down the binoculars and pulled both Saya and Saeko closer to him.

Nick: The thing I told you previously is only done by Gods... Concepts like me are mostly uninterested in everything except their realm and duties...

Saya: I understand that humans are at the bottom of the ladder, right?

Nick: You can say that... but in some worlds, humans could rise to the level of Gods and their own divinity.

Saya: Really? How does that even work?

Nick: I once saw a world like that... Devils, Angels, and Fallen-Angels fighting an unending and unnecessary war. In that world, you can rise to a level of God but only after you join one of these three factions... I lost interest in that world after a few days. And there are some worlds in which you can cultivate ki with various methods and finally ascend to the heavens. Those worlds are strong eating the weak world, if you are weak then you have no rights, and those worlds are filled with jealousy. If someone is rising beyond you then many of them will come together and stop you from rising.

Saeko: That sounds kind of disturbing...

Nick: Yeah... once my Mom erased a country from a cultivation world with a snap of her fingers. Some ass became too arrogant and decided it was a very good idea to summon Death and make it a slave... Mom killed him that is obvious but others decided to lock her down in a formation and make her submit through s.e.x... I can't even imagine how they even thought that it can be possible. Well, those souls would never enter the cycle of reincarnation...

Saya: Well those people were really Stupid I think... more like the epitome of stupidy.

Saeko: I don't want to meet those kinds of people ever... like never.

Nick: We think that is stupid but it is quite common in all those Cultivation worlds. They keep trying that from time to time... After that incident, my Mom kept a really huge distance from those worlds. She directly rips away the lives of the people who try those rituals now so it has become non-existent now...

Saeko: Wow... so how strong are actually these Concepts?

Nick: They are very strong... I have met with Eternity... well she was quite nice but mostly uninterested in everything except sweets. Concepts cant be killed no matter how strong you are... my father is the biggest example, he is stronger than my mother but even he can't kill her... my father has some powers which bend all the rules.

Saya: What are we if you compare us with them??

Nick: Mostly insignificant... don't take it in some wrong way but it is the truth. You are centuries ahead before you could challenge even one of them. The simple reason is that both of you are only immortal without any special power but my father has many other powers and my and my Mom's power revolves around a person's soul.

Saeko: So... where do you stand?

Nick: I am the strongest... my Mom and Dad combined won't be able to defeat me. Within 10 meters I am completely invincible... no matter who you are or what you are... you will be an ant if you come within my 10 meters range and even if you by some miracle are able to touch me they can't scratch me. Only I can damage myself...

Both Saya and Saeko were completely dumbstruck, they never thought that their husband would be strong like he wouldn't have any competition.

Nick: Most Gods notice me but stay away from me simply because I am a Concept... The God of this world have noticed me the day I popped up here but he stayed away... this is a simple hierarchy...

*BOOM*

Nick was cut off by a huge explosion that shook the whole ground. Nick immediately picked up the binoculars and looked at the place where the flames were rising.

Nick: Well there goes our break.

Saya: What happened?

Nick: Someone maybe thought it was a good idea to smoke on the fuel pump.

Saeko: Why don't we go and check that out... my bones are creaking due to lack of action and boredom.

Nick: Yeah... gather the team... we will leave...
