HOTD: Legacy

Nick sighed, it's not like he had to hide his power but it was troublesome to explain. "I have some superhuman powers" Nick told them and Saeko came forward "Are you sure you want to tell them? Thinking of everything happening around us?" Saeko said. "It is fine... it is not like they can do anything against me" Nick said. Saya hearing this spoke up "What??? Saeko knew all about this?" Shizuka came forward and chipped in "I knew too, he told us only yesterday". Saya was hurt but didn't want to react on it "So what kind of powers?" Saya asked while Nick just lifted some folders without using his hands. "This, and I can store some things in my personal space" Nick said taking out a lighter.

After that even though everyone was shocked but they believed him since everything happening around them. The two girls Nick saved were Misuzu Ichijou and Toshimi Niki. The boy who was with Shizuka was Kazu Ishii, and the guy who was protecting Saya was Kohta Hirano. Nick was sitting at the side with Saya, Saeko, Shizuka playing with his lighter. Rei came forward and spoke up "So where are we going to go?" then Misuzu followed her "Can't we stay here? I mean we are safe here" then hearing that Niki spoke up "Yes, we can stay here until help comes right?". Hearing them Saya spoke up "We can't be sure of that, we don't know if this is an isolated event or not, but we have to assume it is not so everyone is going to protect themselves." Saya again spoke up "The lines are busy meaning we cannot inform anyone about our location so chances of someone coming to save us are pretty low" everyone understood this and became sad but Saya continued "This brings to our third problem water and food, Nick-kun have alcohol but he doesn't have food so we will eventually starve and die if we stay here. More so if 'they' gather around the room and somehow break-in we won't be able to hold them back for long. Nick-kun and Saeko-chan can protect themselves but if we get surround them we will be done for"

Everyone understood what Saya was saying and decided to leave and follow Nick. The exited the room and killing 'them' as soon as they saw one. Suddenly Nick raised his hand signalling everyone to stop. The could hear growling sounds coming from the corner. Zombies were always growling but this was different, it was like a wild beast waiting for its prey to lunge on. Nick walked the corner and a zombie with claw lunged on him like a wild animal while screaming. The zombie was stopped midair in front of Nick. All of the group saw this new kind of Zombie. Saya spoke up "Oh my God... they have already started to evolve" everyone's face became pale and they were grateful because they decided to follow Nick. Nick pulled off its head from its body killing it. "Let's call it Hunter, how it lunges at its prey while waiting for the right moment, I am sure this won't be the last time we saw this". Some of them nodded while the rest were still shaking in fear.

They soon reached the stairs and met with another group. "Hey...!! Where are you going?" one of their group shouted. "Shut up... sound attracts 'them'" Saya said. The group nodded in understanding while they walked downstairs and reached the ground floor. The exited the building Saeko, Kohta, Takashi and Rei took up the attacking while Nick stayed back and lit up another cigarette. While exiting the gate one from the other group hit his weapon on the gate making a loud noise attracting the zombies. "Everyone run towards the bus" Takashi shouted. Everyone ran towards the bus while Nick kept walking towards the bus killing any zombies that came in his sights.

Nick got on the bus and stood by the gates when one of the students from the other group shouted "You are a freak too. You belong with them." All the others from the other group nodded and Nick's group looked pissed. "Shizuka-chan let's go" Shizuka nodded hearing Nick but was stopped by another voice. "Please stop... " all of the students looked and saw Koichi Shido running with another group. "We don't need to save him...!!! " Rei shouted. Nick also agreed with her but Shido has already stepped on the bus. "You will regret saving him" Rei said and sat down. Nick gestured Shizuka to drive which she did.

Nick flopped down beside Saeko and gave her a quick kiss. Nick lit up another cigarette after that. "A student should not smoke... do you have a leader" Shido spoke up seeing Nick. "You are immediate need of a leader or you will not be able to survive this crisis since I am the only teacher present here I will lead your group" Shido spoke up like a politician. And many students chorused along with him. Nick got up from his seat and grabbed his throat and raised him up in the air "You are ruining my mood asshole... speak another word and I will break your knees and throw you to a group of 'them'. Shido got scared and nodded heavily when another student spoke up "I told you he is a freak" but that guy was punched by Saya. "This is how you treat your savior?" Saya said and Nick dropped Shido and backed back to Saeko.

Nothing else happened until they reached a tunnel and it was blocked by a police car. It was the only way they could return to the city the other road would lead them to the other side of the city. "We need to walk on foot~" Shizuka said and got up. Nick's group followed her and exited the bus. "So where will we be going?" Kohta asked. "We need some food, so first we should look for a departmental store" Saya said and everyone nodded. Shido didn't want to let go of Shizuka but one glare from Nick made him think otherwise. Nick went to the police car and checked for gun but only found bullets in the gloves compartment. Nick stored them aside and lit up another cigarette. "Let's go we need to find another vehicle" Nick said and everyone followed him. Nick didn't know if he was lucy or not, as soon as they exited the tunnel they found an abandoned bus. "Shizuka-chan, can you drive this?" Nick asked looking at her. "I will try~" Shizuka said and turned on its engine. All of them got on the bus and sat down quietly and Nick walked up to Kohta "How many shots do you have left?" Nick asked him and Kohta checked the magazine "Around twenty shots". "Ok don't use it until we get in a bind" Nick said and Kohta nodded. Nick lit up another cigarette and sat beside Saya.

(A/N: Nick left the bus willingly because he didn't want to kill anyone and he knew he if had to stay on the bus sooner or later he would end up killing someone. Though he didn't mind killing but he would end up scaring Saya and the others. Saeko would not mind it, maybe Shizuka wouldn't mind that too but the others will. And if they didn't leave the bus they have to go around the city)

Saya glared at him "Why are you here? Go to your Saeko-chan". Nick looked at her and sighed "Saya-chan why don't we talk about this is private, there are some more things I want to tell you about myself" Nick said to her. Saya didn't know what he wanted to tell her but nodded. After a few minutes, Shizuka stopped the bus in from of a departmental store. Shizuka spoke up "Nick-chan we are here".

Nick nodded and got up "Help me with the stuff guys" all of the group nodded and got up to help him.
