I took away his hand that was squeezing my face, looked at him, and said in a calm voice, “Pei Hao, let’s break up.”

I don’t know if he could see my determined eyes in the dark room.

Pei Hao visibly gasped and then asked with a puzzled expression, “Why?”

Don’t you know why? I smiled inwardly with bitterness. Pei Hao, are you a great actor, or do you have a low IQ? Are you still pretending to be innocent and asking me why?

“There is no why,” I said indifferently. “We are not suitable.”

“What’s the matter with you?” Pei Hao stood up and gave me a confused look. He thought for a while and then suddenly slapped his leg hard as if suddenly realizing. “It’s because I jumped into the sea to catch Fu Yan first, right? So that’s why you haven’t talked to me much these days?”

I was exhausted. I didn’t think our breakup would have much of an impact on Pei Hao. He didn’t have to act as if he liked me, and he was not auditioning for a role.

We stared at each other with an inexplicable breathless gaze in the dark night. We were both angry, and neither wanted to humble the other in this matter.

After a long time, I sighed and said: “I didn’t ask for your permission …”

Before I could speak, Pei Hao’s kiss smashed down like a storm. I tilted my head, and he chased after me. He pressed my hands, and I couldn’t move, so I clenched my teeth. He pinched my waist hard.
