I Am Not a Sis-Con! ~ All the People Around Me Call Me One, but Isn’t It Just Because My Sister Is T

Maika, the student council president, held up last year’s student council magazine in front of my eyes.

“That’s last year’s student council magazine, right?

“Yes, it is. Look at this. I think the cover art is well done, but the font is gothic.”

“Oh, so?”

“It’s not funny!”

Maika puffed out her cheeks.

“Ma~, I agree with you that it’s not funny.”

“Right! That’s why I want you to write it, Tojo-kun!”

Maika moved closer to me.

“So close!”

I grabbed Maika by the shoulders and pulled her off.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I got a little excited.”

“So, what do you want me to write?”

“Well, I want you to write this down.”

Maika’s pen flew across her notepad.

She tore off the page and handed it to me.

“‘Flying’ huh?”

“Oh, now you think that’s cliché, don’t you?”

“No, no, no, not at all. Yes.”

“Well, whatever. Anyway, nice to meet you!”

“I understand. I’ll try to make some patterns for now. I’ll take this one.”

With that, I stood up.

“Nice to meet you!”

“Here you go.”

I left the student council room and headed straight for the calligraphy room.

I entered the room and sat down in my seat.

“Hello.”

“Hello.”

“Thank you for your hard work.”

I greeted the club members, and they returned my greeting.

“Now, let’s write.”

I got ready and took out the note paper that the student council president had given me.

I wrote “Flying” on a piece of paper in three different styles: Kaisho1, Gyōsho2, and Cursive .

The one that’s easier to read and more popular with amateurs would be Gyosho.

With that in mind, I started to practice semi-cursive style.

“Well, that’s about right.”

一When I finished with the entire practice, the clock showed 5:00PM.

I looked around the club room and noticed that Rio was the only one left.

“Hey, Rio. I’m going home.”

“Good work.”

“You’ve been working too hard lately, haven’t you?”

“Thank you for asking… but I’m fine.”

“All right, well, don’t be too hard on yourself.”

“Yeah, … geniuses won’t understand.”

Rio said in a voice that I couldn’t hear.

“What did you say?

“Nothing.”

After saying that, I slung my bag over my shoulder and left the school.

一I walked home by myself.

After a few minutes of walking, I arrived in front of my house.

“I’m home.”

I opened the front door with my key.

“Welcome back!”

Sara, who was in the living room, came out.

“Oh, I’m home. Don’t forget to change your clothes.”

“Hai!”

I went to my room, put my bag away, and changed into my loungewear.

“Now, let’s go make dinner.”

I went down to the living room and said to Sara who was watching TV.

“What are you going to make today?”

“I think I have some curry ingredients in the fridge, so I thought I’d make curry.”

“That sounds great! I’ll help too.”

Sara sounded very enthusiastic when she said that.

Kaisho:-The Regular Script or Block Script (kaisho) is fairly similar in function to that of Roman block capitals. While Japanese kaisho varies slightly from Chinese kaisho, it is primarily based on Chinese kaisho script in both form and function. Gyosho:- The Semi-cursive Script (gyosho) means exactly what it says; this script style is a slightly more cursive version of kaisho script. This script was practiced at the same time as the reisho script. There are three different levels of “cursiveness” called seigyo, gyo, and gyoso. The style of gyosho utilizes a softer and more rounded technique, staying away from sharp corners and angles.
