Two days later ‒ it was the day I promised to go to a movie with Sara.

“Ha~, I want to sleep.”

I woke up a little after 9:00 a.m.. I rubbed my eyes, probably due to the fact that I had worked late last night.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning. You’re early considering we’re on vacation.”

“Yes, I’m awake. Nii-San looks sleepy.”

Sara said, while looking at my face.

“Sorry about that. I was working a little late last night.”

“Thank you for your hard work.”

Sara handed me a mug of coffee.

“Oh, thank you.”

I took the mug, took a sip and moved to the living room sofa.

“Do you want to go out for breakfast before we go?”

“Sure.”

“I want to go to a sushi bar or something.”

“I agree.”

“Okay, that’s settled then. I’m going to wash my face.”

I got up and went to the bathroom.

After washing my face, I went back to the living room.

“You want to leave around ten o’clock, right?”

“Yes, I think that’s a good time.”

“Let’s get dressed.”

“Hai!”

We both went back to our rooms and changed into our outfits.

Haruki put on the white t-shirt, navy blue jacket, and black denims that Sara had bought for him before.

Sara wore a navy blue blouse, pink skirt, and black cardigan that she had bought for her date with Haruki.

“You know Nii-San, you look really cool when you are dressed up.”

“You are saying like I don’t normally do it.”

“Well, yeah, that’s true.” (TLN: lmao)

Sara chuckled.

“You’re cute too, Sara.”

“Fufufu~, thank you.”

“Now, let’s leave.”

I looked at my watch and saw that it was around ten o’clock.

“Let’s go.”

I placed my phone and wallet in my pocket.

“Okay.”

The two of us walked out the front door and headed for the station.

“I’m pretty sure there’s a chain of conveyorbelt sushi restaurants near the movie theater, so let’s eat there.” (This editor also misses eating at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.)

“Understood.”

“I’m gonna go recharge.”

“Oh, I’ll go with you.”

When I arrived at the station, I recharged my IC card.

“We’re good to go.”

We went through the ticket gate and waited for the train to arrive.

After three minutes of waiting, the train arrived.

Perhaps because it was the middle of the day, the train was relatively quiet.

“Oh, We can sit down.”

“Hai.”

The two of us sat side by side, and the train carried us to our destination about three stations away..

When we left the train, we headed to a chain of conveyor-belt sushi restaurants for a meal.

“Is this okay?”

“Hai!”

Upon entering the restaurant, I selected two people on the touch panel and chose a table.

Immediately, the ticket was issued and we headed for the seat with the number on the ticket.

“Here you go.”

“Thank you.”

I seated Sarah in the back and handed her a hand towel.

I made tea for myself and for Sara, and handed her one.

“Order anything you like.”

“Hai!’

Sara nodded with a smile.

It was a small price to pay to get that smile out of her.
