We were ushered to our seats in the restaurant by the waitress.

 

Looking around, I saw that the majority were women. There seemed to be a few couples here and there, though.

 

Well, I guess we too looked like that from outside.

 

“Thank you for waiting. Here are your cold drinks and menu. We’ll be back when you’ve decided on your order.”

 

After saying that, the waitress left the table.

 

“Which one do you want?”

 

After the waitress left, we both peeked at the menu.

 

“Yeah. I think I’ll go with the classic one after all!”

 

Then she pointed to the first page of the menu, the one labeled “Most Popular”.

 

From the picture, it was a simple one with some kind of whipped cream on top. However, it looked quite delicious in its own way. No wonder it was the most popular.

 

“Sounds good. I’ll order the same then.”

 

“Okay!”

 

That was when the waitress approached ua.

 

What good timing!.

 

“Have you decided on your order?”

 

“I’d like two of the most popular ones, please.”

 

I said, pointing to the menu.

 

“Very well, sir. The pancakes will be ready in about 20 minutes, is that okay?”

 

“Yes, that’s fine.”

 

“Would you like a drink?”

 

The waitress said and showed me the drink menu.

 

“Oh, I’ll have an iced coffee.”

 

“I’ll have an iced tea, please.”

 

“Got it, sir.”

 

After taking the order, the waitress left the place.

 

“So, this is where Sara wanted to go?”

 

I asked Sara, who was happily waiting for her pancakes at the table in front of me.

 

“Yes, it is. There’s that too.”

 

“That too?”

 

The way she said it made it sound like wanting to come here was not the only reason, it could be taken to mean that she didn’t just want to go.

 

“Hai, Nii-San, you’ve been working too hard lately, so this is your reward!”

 

Sara said with a gentle smile on her face.

 

What a wonderful sister I have.

 

More and more, I don’t want to let her fall into the hands of another man.

 

“Thank you.”

 

I said, and gently patted her head.

 

It had completely slipped my mind that this was a public place, though.

 

“So, this is my treat! Please taste and eat properly!”

 

Sara clenched her fists with an enthusiastic expression.

 

No, you are too cute.

 

“I get it.”

 

It seemed like she was not going to budge no matter what I said here. I would have to return the favor to Sara later.

 

“Hai!”

 

Sara had a happy expression on her face from beginning to end. I want to protect this smile for the rest of my life.

 

As I was thinking about this, our pancakes were brought to us.
