The day after I went to Shinjuku with Sara, being a Sunday, I woke up around noon and started up my computer straight away.

I was rubbing my sleepy eyes as I worked, but I was jolted awake.

“Well…”

I started my day by checking my email. At the top of the page today was an email from Asagiri-san, informing me that the cover illustration was finished.

“Oh, really?”

I hovered my cursor over the email with anticipation in my heart.

I had gotten a few rough sketches before, but this was the first time I would be seeing the finished product.

“I’m kind of nervous.”

I muttered to myself as I clicked to open the email.

There was an image file attached to it.

When I clicked on the image file, two images appeared.

“Oh!”

I was so impressed that I exclaimed out loud.

“Wow, …”

There were two illustrations; one with and one without the title and credits.

I created the title, of course.

I had made various patterns in advance and sent them over, and they matched perfectly.

In the illustration, the main heroine, the younger sister, was drawn in the center; and the hero was drawn behind her.

The background was probably the living room of her house.

It was exactly how I pictured it, and I couldn’t feel anything but excitement from it.

I quickly replied to the email.

‘It’s perfect. It’s just as I imagined it. Please use it as is.’

I sent an email stating that I wanted this illustration to be used for the cover. I received a response right away.

‘Yes. I’ll post an announcement with illustrations tomorrow, so you can spread the word on social media.’

" "

That was what Asagiri-san told me.

Finally, I felt that the release was imminent.

“Sara, can I talk to you for a second?”

I wanted to share this excitement with someone, so I called out to Sara, who was drinking tea in the living room.

“Yes, it’s fine.”

“Hey, look at this.”

I showed Sara the cover illustration that I had downloaded into my phone.

“Oh. I see the cover is finished!”

Sara stared at the screen of my phone.

“It’s amazing! That’s a beautiful illustration!”

Sara also seemed to be drawn in by the beauty of the illustration.

“‘No, it’s really amazing … !”

I also thought it was a beautiful illustration no matter how many times I looked at it.

I spent some time staring at the illustrations.

The next evening, the illustration for the cover was released.

At this time, it was also announced that the illustrator was Himuro-San of Mahogaku.

‘The cover illustration and the illustrator have been released. The illustrator is Himuro from Mahogaku. Please look forward to the release!’

Along with this message, I posted the cover illustration I had received.

This also led to a lot of excitement on my SNS.

[No way, Himuro-sensei!]

[It’s the Mahogaku duo!]

[More fun!]

My SNS exploded with such comments.
