Chapter 34

TL-Mechatronic

“You won’t summon her here?” (Nina) “Yes.” (Adrian)

Nina raised her body slightly and looked at Adrian.

“It seems that she’s sure that there is Sage Steel, so I think we can use it as bargaining material. Though it’ll, still take some time to find it……” (Nina)

“I’ll try to make the best deal that I can.” (Adrian)

Nina laid back on his legs again. “Well, if I leave it to the young master, I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.” (Nina)

Adrian rolled up her pigtails and wrapped them around his fingers and wrists. She turned around and her smooth hair came loose.

“What are you planning to do?” (Nina)

“Just anything.” (Adrian)

Adrian replied with a blank expression on his face. Nina held her hair in both hands and swept it down and said admonishingly. “You shouldn’t go alone.” (Nina)

“I know that much. I’ll take Louis and the soldiers. I will also try to find the Sage Steel while I’m there at the same time.” (Adrian)

“Sir Louis, me and the soldiers are good enough.” (Nina)

“Did I mention your name just now?” (Adrian)

“You’re going without me?” (Nina)

“Yes.” (Adrian)

“What? Are you leaving your Nina behind? It makes no sense.” As Nina jumped, Adrian said.

“You have a schedule tomorrow.”

“Do I have any plans tomorrow? I don’t have any schedule!”

“Tomorrow is the day you will pick the new Dark Knights.”

“Uh, if I put it off for a day……”

“Some people have been here for a week already.” “They can wait for a bit more…….”

“Armed people are wandering around, and the people in the castle are uneasy.”

“Even so, Young Master alone…..”

“I’m not alone.”

“You are leaving me alone.”

“I will leave you together with Jean.”

At the answer that came back one by one, Nina shuddered. Lying down on the sofa, pretending to cry she said.

“I only think of you, but you think about leaving me behind, you don’t care about me, do you?” Sullenly, Nina spat out one after another.

“Isn’t that because you think that I’m actually annoying? Are you trying to send me away? You’re so mean.”

Adrian’s movement stopped. Nina was still buried on the sofa. He reached out to sweep her cheek, and came down further to lift her chin. Somehow the atmosphere was so serious that Nina closed her eyes and didn’t open them. “Nina La Dell.”

His voice was surprisingly sweet and warm. So Nina thought that she made a big mistake.

“How could you say that I don’t care about you?”

Nina quietly opened her eyes, but her vision was only pointed at the floor in a diagonal line.

“Do you really think I don’t care?” Nina tried to pull her head back, but Adrian wouldn’t let her go. “No……”

Adrian whispered when Nina answered quietly.

“Look at me and tell me.”

“That……”

She thought it would be a little scary when she met his gaze, so Nina still fixed her eyes in a different direction.

“What? Do you want to see me go mad first?”

Suddenly, her eyes swung to Adrian.

“Now you’re looking at me.” He let her go and patted her on the head. For a moment Nina lost her words and mumbled.

“Adrian.”

“What?”

“…..Nothing.” With a deep sigh, Nina shook her head.

Adrian’s pink eyes gazed gently at Nina.

Unlike Nina’s golden eyes which danced like sunlight on a lake’s surface, his eyes were as still as almond flowers in the moonlit night.

Nina also stared at him, turned her gaze, and got up from her seat.

“I’ll get going.” “Alright.”

When Nina left, Adrian sighed and got up. He thought he went a little overboard because he got so upset.

But Nina.

She is different from others, so such words quickly made him feel bitter.

Words that wouldn’t hurt if someone else said it, but when it came out from her mouth, it was very annoying and it would get stuck like a thorn.

Bang!

The door opened loudly and as he tried to reflexively turn, Nina, who ran like a flash, grabbed his shoulders,

“Ugh-”

The force he exerted to look back and the force she used to prevent him from looking back collided, making him groan involuntarily.

Of course, Nina’s power was terrifying, so he never could turn around fully.

“Adrian.”

She poked her forehead against his back.

“I know Adrian cares about me a lot. You care so much about me that you think I will be uncomfortable because of it. I know that.”

“….. Nina.”

“I am very grateful because Adrian is someone precious to me. It was a joke, but I’m sorry to have said that.”

Since we are close, there are some things that we should not say to each other. Likewise, because they were close, there are other things that still needed to be said.

Adrian’s shoulders lost strength. He tried to look back but Nina didn’t let him go.

“If Adrian calls me, even if you turn the whole world, into an enemy, I will run to you.” “I know.”

Nina raised her head. Finally, she held him tightly behind his back and let him go.

“I’ll be on my way, Young Master.” Adrian turned his head to her cheerful voice. Nina smiled at him and left the room. Adrian looked at the door she left and dropped his eyes on the chessboard.

“If Adrian calls me, even if you turn the whole world into an enemy, I will run to you.”

I know.

But.

“Don’t go too far.

Jean combed his hair, he wanted to have nice glossy hair, but his hair was stiff like wire and didn’t move as he wanted.

“Tsk, the hell.” A harsh word burst out of his mouth, and Jean tried to fix his hair as gently as he could.

When he crossed his head with a water-soaked hairbrush, he managed to get the shape. In the capital, they use something called hair oil, but he has to buy that.

The door opened as he checked himself in a mirror back and forth.

“Jean, Jean!”

“Can’t you knock before opening it?” When Jean sighed and spoke to Nina, Nina quietly closed the door.

Knock knock

“Come in.”

Nina opened the door with a ‘hehe smile on her face. She was holding a long coat in one hand. All the uniforms of the Dark Knights are decorated with silver thread on black and silver cloth.

However, in the case of the commander, it was decorated with gold thread, so everyone could quickly see who was the leader

Nina said, lifting the long coat. “I don’t know where to put this on.”

At Nina’s words, he sighed as she looked at the thin, triangular-shaped cloth she was holding in her hand.

“It should be attached to the button behind the collar. It was used for raising the flag.”

“Ah.”

“Give it to me.”

When Jean reached out his hand, Nina quickly handed the coat to him who pushed the button with a quick hand and asked.

“Where will you wear it? Are you going to hang it on your shoulder?”

“Since I’m wearing a jacket, I’ll put it on my shoulder today.”

When Jean gestured for her to come near, Nina smiled and quickly turned around in front of him.

He fastened the coat to the shoulder of her jacket. He loosened the waist strap from her coat and put it into her coat pocket, then he rotated her around to fix the jacket again.

“Okay, it’s all done.”

“Do I look like the boss now?”

“You look the same.”

He smiled and looked at her up and down, Nina frowned.

“You really. Who ties the bootstraps like this. Can you tie it together or not?”

“I was in a hurry……”

When Nina quietly avoided his gaze, Jean sighed loudly, lifted her up, and set her on a high stool. Then he untied her shoelaces and tightened them again.

Nina looked at Jean’s unusually well-behaved hair. She wanted to pat his red hair, but she couldn’t because she was afraid she would ruin the hairdo.

“It’s all tied up.”

“Thank you, Jean.”

Nina replied gently. Jean smiled and looked up at her, saying, “You’re only behaving well during these cases.”

Nina asked because Jean’s gaze at her was making her feel embarrassed by the minute.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“No, it’s just that our Nina is all grown up now.”
