However, the Queen Jawfiend had no idea that Arion only got up to prevent it from following up on its attack.

Since its intelligence was limited, it wasn't able to think too much. It mostly made decisions based on its senses, especially what it saw in its vision.

"Grrrr…" Arion continued to let out grunts so as to fool the Queen Jawfiend into thinking that he was ready to attack again while, in reality, he was buying himself time to heal his back.

Even if Arion's human self was not conscious, his beast mind was far more intelligent than the Queen Jawfiend, considering how his bloodline was inherently superior.

But this intelligence was mostly used to fight his enemies or kill them effectively to satiate his insatiable hunger. Other than these, one would doubt whether he would even be able to do much thinking with such a feral mind.

However, if Arion's human mind had control now, then his attacking strategy might have been a lot more effective, but his attacking prowess might come down since he wouldn't be used to such a monstrous body.

All this while, Arion's feral mind was thinking and attacking based on its inborn instincts birthed from its bloodline.

*Kreee!!*

The Queen Jawfiend decided to attack again as it scurried forward with its huge legs. Arion barely got more than a dozen seconds to heal his back, but that was enough for him to make a leap towards the side to dodge the Queen Jawfiend's attack swiftly.

Because Arion was struck a heavy blow on his back by the Queen Jawfiend, his instincts were keeping him from making a reckless charge at it. Otherwise, he would only end up in a worse state.

The Queen Jawfiend was surprised to see the speed at which Arion dodged its attack. It got even more enraged and quickly moved sideways to strike Arion.

*KREEE!!*

However, Arion took full advantage of his agility to dodge its next move as well. Arion was not only smaller than the huge Queen Jawfiend, but his body was lighter as well, allowing him to dodge at ease and perform unbelievable movements at an insane speed.

He was literally like a spider on steroids, jumping here and there while dodging the Queen Jawfiend's attacks.

Sometimes his movements slowed down his healing process due to the way in which he was exerting his body. But his healing speed made up for it, and as time passed, his spine had completely healed, and his tissues were almost stitched back together.

The main reason he even cared to dodge was that he was aware of the venom that was coursing through its legs and fangs.

He was able to neutralize the venom of the other Jawfiends since they were way weaker than the Queen Jawfiend, especially when they didn't possess any Aspect at all.

But if he were to get stung or bitten by the Queen Jawfiend, then his healing prowess might not be strong enough to fully neutralize its venom, considering how Arion could feel that its Darkness Aspect was more developed.

The Queen Jawfiend was still considering Arion as a tasty dish having no idea that it won't be able to eat him. In fact, if it tried to eat Arion's pranic heart, it would only be killing itself, especially because it had the Darkness Aspect.

It had no idea why it suffered a horrible backlash when it pierced through Arion's heart before using its stinger.

But if it knew that the reason for the backlash was that Arion's Aspect clashed with its body due to the huge difference in bloodline quality, it wouldn't dare to eat him again. In fact, it would rather throw away Arion's corpse than keep it besides it.

*KREEEE!!*

The Queen Jawfiend continued to attack while letting out provocative screeches to make Arion face it instead of leaping around.

But seeing how it was impossible for it to hit Arion with its huge body and slower speed, it decided to do something else.

It began to release a sticky thread from the tips of all its legs.

Arion stopped moving, seeing how it stopped attacking, but he couldn't understand what it was up to.

He was only jumping around to find a good opening to bite its vital point but found it hard to find one.

Since his body was way bigger than his human form, he couldn't just slide in between the spider's legs, nor was he able to form complex thoughts in his mind, considering how his burning hunger was clouding his thoughts, consciousness, and intelligence making him completely feral.

Arion suddenly saw the Queen Jawfiend jumping up and eight grey threads extending from the tips of its large hairy legs.

Arion felt that now was an opportune time to attack it since he felt that the Queen Jawfiend was busy doing something else.

"Roarr!!*

And so he lept towards the Queen Jawfiend with a roar, ready to bite through its big ugly head.

However, the Queen Jawfiend's eyes suddenly moved towards Arion's direction and made a big leap towards the right side of Arion, as if trying to dodge Arion's attack.

Because of the combined power from all its eight legs, it was able to make a quick yet big jump towards the side, taking Arion by surprise, who was still in mid-air.

But as the Queen Jawfiend jumped, the grey thread continued to extend from all its eight legs, forming eight thick grey strings that continued to extend in a straight line along with the movements of the Queen Jawfiend.

Arion was confused as he landed on the ground seeing that the Queen Jawfiend was continuing to jump here and there, the same thing Arion was doing before, only now that the roles were reversed.

It seemed as if the Queen Jawfiend knew about Arion's dangerous ability—Doom Fang since its children were connected to its mind before they died.

However, the Queen Jawfiend was jumping so high that Arion wasn't simply able to catch up no matter how many times he tried to leap towards the Queen Jawfiend.

But he finally noticed that each time the Queen Jawfiend landed, the eight grey strings extending from its legs were intertwining with the other strings it had left in its wake, forming a large web which was slowly closing off his escape routes each time the Queen Jawfiend jumped around.

*ROARRR!!!*

Finally seeing that the Queen Jawfiend was subtly trying to trap him, Arion let out an enraged roar as he leaped towards the Queen Jawfiend with his claws out and jaws wide open.

But this time, the Queen Jawfiend didn't jump but instead spat out a dark liquid in Arion's direction.

Arion didn't have a place to grab onto since every other angle was covered with web, nor did he have the ability to dodge its venom in mid-air.

He could only bring up his hands to guard himself against its venom. Alas, that wasn't enough to stop the venom from injuring him.

"GRAWWWR!!*

Arion painfully roared as the Queen Jawfiend's venom fell on his arms, and some of them fell on other parts of his body as well.

Because of this, he lost his balance and fell from mid-air, crashing onto the ground.

The Queen Jawfiend took this opportunity to completely seal off all the escape routes Arion could possibly take by completing its webbing.

It had been jumping here and there meticulously to trap its prey and eat it without worrying about any retaliation from it.

Arion was painfully growling while a dark grey web made out of thick and tensile string caged him inside.

The dark venom was continuously burning away at his skin and muscles, or to be precise, he felt like they were slowly melting them.

But it wasn't enough to melt right through to his bones since his enhanced healing factor was already kicking in, and his body had some resistance towards its venom since his ability Doom Fang stemmed from the venom of the Queen Jawfiend's children.

"GRWWWR!"

Still, feeling the burning sensation on his skin and muscles was no joke, and he was writhing in pain on the cold ground, trying to suppress his injuries.

His enhanced healing ability still had a hard time fighting back the venom or neutralizing it since it was too potent, way more than the venom that was coursing through Arion's jaws.

The Queen Jawfiend was satisfied seeing its prey being trapped finally, unable to jump around or escape from it.

Seeing Arion writhe in pain, it didn't waste this chance and climbed above its own web.

Eyeing its vulnerable prey squirming on the ground, it inserted one of its legs through its webbing and pierced Arion's arm, all the way through his flesh.

"ROARRR!!!" A hoarse roar escaped from Arion's mouth as its long leg with a sharp tip pierced through his arm.

Not only that, but he also felt its venom being injected into his bloodstream!
