I Shall Devour Everything

Arion's ember eyes seemed to glimmer brighter as if he was highly enraged!

"ROARRRR!!" His roar sounding inflamed yet painful, traveled across the cave as he swung his other arm around and clawed at the Queen Jawfiend's leg that had pierced through his other arm.

*Spltchh!*

Surprisingly, Arion's claws ripped through its hairy leg like butter and cut off its entire leg just like that, making dark blood ooze out from its severed leg.

*KREEEEE!!!* 

The Queen Jawfiend loudly screeched and stumbled back, never expecting Arion to attack it and, most of all, his attack to be so strong and vicious.

It couldn't understand how he got strong enough within a short span of time to cut off its leg so easily.

Arion pulled out its severed leg from his other arm and put it in his mouth while his injured arm had almost become numb due to serious injuries.

Still, he didn't care and crunched the Queen Jawfiend's leg to pieces in his mouth and swallowed, his stomach still letting out growls of hunger as saliva dripped from his mouth.

Arion felt a number of changes going on in his body, the most noticeable was how he felt that his heart was expanding when in reality, it was not expanding physically but was getting richer in prana.

And the main reason for that was that he finally broke through to the Prana Releasing Stage!

This made his body undergo a small rebirth of sorts, increasing all his stats making him more powerful, stronger, and most of all, deadlier.

The most noticeable stat change was his Pranic Force which signified the total amount of prana contained in his body.

Apparently, entering the Prana Releasing Stage allowed him to increase his Pranic Force which previously never increased no matter how many cycles he progressed in Prana Binding Stage.

His attack prowess now became more venomous since his temporary ability 'Doom Fang' leveled up and even gained an additional decay effect!

This might have happened because he ingested the Queen Jawfiend's leg, which contained its venom coupled with the fact that his Defity increased as well.

But the Queen Jawfiend's venom never had a decay effect since Arion's injured arm wasn't suffering any decay before when he got stung.

This meant that it was probably a mutated attribute that stemmed from his Darkness Aspect.

His injured arm also started to show its original healing prowess, no longer slowed down by the Queen Jawfiend's venom.

The venom in his bloodstream was easily getting neutralized now that his body was stronger, and his Darkness Aspect was able to suppress it.

Most of the prana he assimilated went towards healing his arm, while the other contributed to the increase in his Defity.

It was as if his body knew best how to redirect the prana he assimilated.

Arion got to his feet swiftly, no longer feeling numbness in his right arm. His injuries were healing up at a fast pace, and he was feeling control of his arm again.

The Queen Jawfiend also recovered from its shock and injury at this point and somehow stood on all its seven legs. It seemed that even after losing a leg, it didn't find it much difficult to stand.

"Grrrr...." Arion's chest kept on undulating as if his anger and hunger were not at all satiated by just eating one of its legs.

He wanted more...He wanted to rip apart and devour not just one of its legs but its every leg, its body, its head...everything!

The Queen Jawfiend's eyes seemed to contain a murky light of fear, feeling Arion's glare projected towards it. This meant that the Queen Jawfiend was at least in the Prana Releasing Stage. 

Now that Arion also entered the Prana Releasing Stage, it was considering him as an opponent that had the ability to kill it.

It couldn't understand at all how Arion was able to increasingly become powerful within such a short amount of time.

It could also feel that Arion was no longer the same as before but stronger and more powerful...powerful enough for it to consider him as a deadly threat.

Even though Arion was trapped inside its large web, it, for some reason, didn't feel that safe.

Arion saw how its annoying web had him trapped inside. And so he stepped forward and grabbed the strings of its web with his claws.

The Queen Jawfiend's web had its venom coated on it, because of which Arion felt like his hands were burning. Still, he growled as he continued to stretch them apart till he was able to tear them apart.

The Queen Jawfiend retreated a few steps seeing how Arion easily tore through its firm and strong web-like cutting through paper.

"Grrr…." Arion felt a slight burning sensation in his hands, but he didn't feel that they were too much of a problem, and in fact, his enhanced healing began to kick in already, alleviating any pain he felt.

"ROARRR!!" Arion readily took the initiative, no longer feeling any kind of threat from the Queen Jawfiend.

In fact, now he was considering the Queen Jawfiend as a delectable meal.

*Kreeee!*

The Queen Jawfiend let out a screech that seemed to contain a hint of fear while scurrying sideways to avoid Arion's charge like last time.

But this time, Arion was faster than before. Thus the Queen Jawfiend wasn't able to dodge in time. He easily latched onto its large body, sinking his razor-sharp claws inside its body and gave a wild swing at its huge body.

But just as his claws were ready to strike its body and slash across, a dark layer projected outwards from its skin, blocking Arion's claws from penetrating into its body.

Arion felt as if his claws sank into a solid yet soft layer that absorbed most of his strength, resulting in his claws not being able to sink into its body.

However, his claws were able to barely scratch away at its skin, but that was the best he could do because of this dark layer that was blocking his claws.

However, as he took out his claws, the dark layer dispersed. Seeing that the dark layer had dispersed, Arion was confused and raised his hand to slash its body again.

The Queen Jawfiend took advantage of Arion's confusion to smash its back against the rocky walls and throw off Arion while injuring him in the process as well.

The Queen Jawfiend almost succeeded in squashing Arion against the wall, but he quickly reacted and jumped off before he got smashed against the wall.

*KREEEE!!*

The Queen Jawfiend found it too late to stop its momentum and instead hurt itself by smashing its back onto the wall, cutting its own skin on the back in the process. 

Arion was feeling more frustrated and angry that its prey was coming up with more tricks to escape from his clutches each time, while the Queen Jawfiend was incensed and scared that its enemy was slippery and hard to injure.

It already found out that its venom was no longer effective on Arion for some strange reason, thus feeling helpless when it came to immobilizing Arion.

Seeing how the Queen Jawfiend hurt itself, Arion didn't waste his breath and charged towards the Queen Jawfiend to have another go at killing it as fast as possible.

The Queen Jawfiend's eyes glinted seeing Arion charge at it but knew that Arion was too fast for it to dodge. 

So it released the dark layer around its body even before Arion reached it.

Arion saw the dark layer spreading across its body but didn't slow down at all as he lept towards its body again and wildly slashed away at its body while using his feet to maintain his footing.

But his claw attacks weren't able to break past the dark layer, but he didn't stop his attacks because of it.

*KREEE!!*

The Queen Jawfiend screeched in terror as it tried to smash its body against the walls in an attempt to try and squash Arion.

But Arion was prepared this time and simply moved his body before its body struck against the walls.

*KREEE!!*

The Queen Jawfiend screeched in pain, hurting itself again once more while Arion continued to slash away at its body, despite his attacks not making any substantial injuries.

However, with each strike, Arion was able to feel as if the dark layer around its body was becoming weaker and weaker, his claws slowly piercing through its thick skin.

This continued for a while, and the Queen Jawfiend kept on hurting itself accidentally. All because it wanted to get rid of Arion, who was latching on to its body. 

But it was becoming too tired to shake Arion off. Finally, Arion's attacks made the dark layer disperse completely, presenting him with an opportunity to give out a deadly strike.

He didn't waste this chance and moved over to its head. But instead of clawing at its head, he opened his jaws wide, revealing his teeth as sharp as a blade, and bit onto its head hard enough for a crunching sound to echo!
