I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 118 - I’m Not A Witch-III

Once Seoyeon entered the car, she busy herself by playing with her fingers, pushing and shaping the edge of her fingernails. She turned and looked at Jung Hwa whose eyes were on the road with his lips set in a straight line. She felt her legs itches and her arms. Pulling the coat Jung Hwa gave her, Seoyeon rolled the sleeve to se the red patches had grown larger and wider that by looking at it surprised herself.

As the silence grew, her voice filled the car, "I'm not a witch." Seoyeon had to repeat this again. Jung Hwa was smiling but she wasn't sure if he was feeling the same way as his lips that were stretched wide. Knowing Jung Hwa who could still smile and laugh after killing a person, she doubt his smile could help her to read the emotions that were striking in his heart.

She turned her head, to see the road and her brows raised, "Where are we going?" Jung Hwa didn't replied her and her eyes swiftly shifted to him whose eyes had turned red, "Hwa?" She whispered his name for Jung Hwa finally turn his head at her with his wide smile and his red eyes curved.

"You trust me, don't you?" came the question from his lips that were smiling but when he had asked the question, his smile disappeared.

Seoyeon had noticed that when Jung Hwa's eyes turned red, her emotions shaken to what he was feeling. Whether it was the anger, or any other emotional emotions he felt. She knew that his red eyes didn't necessarily mean he was angry. It could be other emotions which were stronger.

She stared at his red eyes, the black pupils of hers slowly inked with the red glow from the person who she stared at. There were many other plenty opportunities for Jung Hwa to kill her. This was Jung Hwa she was talking about. That moment when he noticed the red rashes, he could have killed her. Jung Hwa wasn't someone who need to save faces before he kills. Nor did he had the need to control himself from his anger as a pureblood which was why he never hold himself from teaching others a lesson.

He could kill her now but he didn't, Seoyeon thought to herself. There were many other times when he had protected her.

"I do." She replied, compared to her answer in the afternoon, the change had been showed.

"And I want to trust you to." Sepyeon's eyes turned at the words he said to see Jung Hwa's blank expression turned to a wide broad smile. His grin hanged on the corner of his lips. He knew that Seoyeon's protection to herself was tight and secure. She wasn't a woman who relay herself to others and it didn't seemed like she would lean to her family either. There was trust issue between her and people around her. He was once outside of her guards but now, slowly, like black ink to a pure water, he had made himself enter her guards, taking it off to be the one closest to her. Seoyeon hadn't realized it yet but now, the only person that came to her mind when she was in danger would surely be him.

There was a sense of possessiveness Jung Hwa felt whenever Seoyeon thought of him first. When his eyes turned red, she noticed the worry lines appearing on her face and when she heard of his mother's death, he didn't miss how her heartbeat faltered, feeling sorry for him; and when she found out she was a witch, she felt scared his anger would turn to her like a sharp razor. She didn't have to fear, thought Jung Hwa to himself. If he would kill her, he would have done it by the time they exited the court.

The coat he gave to her wasn't out of worry that his sweet human girl would catch a cold but because he had notice the red rashes appearing after the slight change in her heartbeat he had always kept his focus on.

"We are going to be there soon." said Jung Hwa to her and she gave him a nod to see his head turned around to see the road again.

Seoyeon tore her gaze from him and her eyes turn to look at the sky which had turned pitch black. She didn't know how many hours she had spend inside the building and when she had walked out of the building, she noticed how the blue sky had turned orange dipped to black. The dusk, the time of the night creature had risen up. She questioned herself where they are going as the path the car took slowly moved to the path where scarce people came and go.

It was still in late evening but she could see how the cars on the road was almost to no more. "Where are we going?" She asked him. Silence didn't sit well with her as it only made her feel edgy. "Tell me," she added her request.

Jung Hwa retrieved his eyes from the road, noticing the sweet pleas of her that only made him want to tease her a little more, pushing her buttons for her reactions to come in her face which he enjoyed every second of it, "Where do you think?"

With her question replied with another one, Seoyeon sent him a frown, "Somewhere quiet." possibly too quiet, she added in her mind.

"That's correct." He replied, his smile only tightened Seoyeon's frown as she could tell the pureblood was having a fun seeing her in anxiousness. "Try and deduce more," he instructed.

"I am not a detective." replied Seoyeon, she felt stressed out not only by her emotion but after guessing and reading Jung Hwa's face only to find nothing because of his smiling face.

"I've never said you are one. You are my sweet little black cat, curious of everything and wish to know everything you haven't done yet. I could see that there are many questions running in your mind now. As the person who provide you with answers to your questions, I should help you to learn deducing more, don't I?" But she wasn't a cat, Seoyeon replied in her mind and the answer was clear to him when he looked at her eyes. "But well my black cat today proved pit to be a witch."

Seoyeon felt her heart flipped when he mentioned the word.

"Do you need more clues?" asked Jung Hwa playfully, waiting for her to take the offer.
