I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 134 - I See It-III

Seoyeon walked down the corridor in speed. Her feet clicked on the floor as she was on the search for the nurse but for some odd reasons, she wasn't able to find anyone. The corridor where she walked on was empty with people even though before when she had walked with Jung Hwa she was sure there was a lot of people who went in and out from the corridor. Weird, thought Seoyeon. Could people disappear in just one snap of minute?

Finding no one, Seoyeon turned her heels and went to find the nurse in the reception where the nurse would often be there even at late in midnight.

Jung Hwa meanwhile in Seulgi's room, looked down on his palm that where a diagonal wound was. The blood had disappeared and when he brought his thumb and swipe it across the wound, in a second the wound disappeared to show his unblemished skin as if there had never been a wound before on his palm.

His eyes then looked up, to see Wan Seulgi who had a glaring look at him. Like Seoyeon, Wan Seulgi was a woman of courage although the woman wasn't his type at all.

Wan Seulgi looked at Jung Hwa with her brows moving down, "Are you threatening me?" She asked because she felt the words Jung Hwa had said earlier was all but a threat.

Jung Hwa replied, "Did I made it sound that way? I was stating this for your own sake as I mentioned. Also, you are Seoyeon's friend, I wouldn't do anything to harm you." He smiled but somewhere Seulgi could feel that the smile he gave was not out of kindness.

Wan Seulgi could feel that there was an intangible hole somewhat on Jung Hwa. She couldn't grasp what she was feeling whether it was the mysterious aura of the man or his words that sounded like a warning. And although she had her quibble with the man, she didn't want to start or cause a fight between her and the man who Seoyeon had seem to set her heart with.

Not wanting to have a squabble, Wan Seulgi decided to swipe the matter aside. Instead she ask, "Do you like Seoyeon?"

It wasn't a question that Jung Hwa expected Wan Seulgi to ask him but he generously choose to answer, "I do and I want to thank you for encouraging her that day to be you to the blind date. If it wasn't for your little trick, I would have never met her." He joked, chuckles leaving his lips.

Wan Seulgi found no lie she could decipher from Jung Hwa instead she could see how the man's smile became more genuine then the smile he offered to her earlier. Then again Wan Seulgi had heard that Jung Hwa was the one who helped her so she doubted the man mean any harm and was serious to Seoyeon.

"What did you want to ask?" Seoyeon questioned him, finally deciding what she should do.

"You've made your mind." commented Jung Hwa, he could see without the need to hear Seulgi's heartbeat how the woman became unsettled when the kidnapping was mentioned. "It's only a few questions, you can take yourself to be relax. I only want to check if we are on the same page. That day do you remember how was you kidnapped?"

Wan Seulgi's hand she settled on her lap flinched when being mentioned. That night when she by her misfortune witness a man killed, thought Seoyeon. Jung Hwa may have told her not to lie but at the same time she doubt he would believe what she said.

After all, that day Seulgi herself wasn't sure if she had seen it right or if she was hallucinating under the effects of the alcohol she drank to forget her sadness. She couldn't help but say, "I don't."

On her reply, Wan Seulgi's heartbeat grew uneven. A bad liar, thought Jung Hwa. It was clear that Seulgi remembered but she didn't want to tell him or anyone.

He then asked, "Did you see the culprit's face?"

Seulgi's hand on her lap tightened as she shook her head, "No, I didn't. I was out of consciousness the entire time after I was brought there." Which was also a lie. Jung Hwa's ability to sense the different rate of heartbeat worked better than others which was why he was sure Wan Seulgi was keeping everything a lie.

Even though Jung Hwa had told the human girl not to lie.

His eyes narrowed when he recalled something and asked, "Did you remembered if you were forced to drink or injected with something?" and Wan Seulgi's eyes snapped wide at Jung Hwa, her pale complexion worsen and the blood on her face lost, turning her face as white as paper.

"W-What do you mean by something?" With how Seulgi's heartbeat spiked, Jung Hwa could clearly notice that the witchess had used a potion to the woman.

A clicked of tongue sounded on the room and Wan Seulgi could see how Jung Hwa who had a casual expression was now frowning. "You keep on lying even when I advise you not to." His eyes narrowing. the going of coldness mixed with red shadow mixed to his black eyes. His voice dropped low, "That night you remembered what had taken place, you've seen the culprit face, and you drank something, didn't you?"

How did he know? Wan Seulgi questioned herself in panic and saw that Jung Hwa who had seated himself arose from the seat. As he was taller it was hard to see the expression the man had with the shadow looming above Jung Hwa's head. His steps slowly went toward Seulgi and sensing how the air turned heavier, Seulgi stood up from her seat and was about to make a dash out of fear she couldn't understand where it stemmed from but as she ran, in a second Jung Hwa had stood in front of her.

"How?" She gasped, fear now stayed on her fingertips and her body warned her as if telling her that she should get away far from the man in front of her now. Who was this man?

She saw Jung Hwa's face void from emotions, his steps moving forward for Wan Seulgi to take far steps until her back reach the wall while Jung Hwa didn't move a step from his place.

"This is your last chance, Miss Wan. Answer my questions carefully.." Jung Hwa said, watching how Seulgi cowered in fear.
