I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 182 - Findings-I

Before Jung Hwa left her room after making sure she was asleep, Seoyeon was deep in her sleep. Her eyes were closed and she slept dreamlessly. But upon a few minutes, Seoyeon woke up from her sleep for no particular reason.

She pushed herself from the bed, seeing the lamp beside her was on and recalled that Jung Hwa had been here with her before she sleeps. Right now he had left, thought Seoyeon to herself before she pushed her body and climb down from the bed.

She began to walk, wanting to take a glass of water to drink before falling back to sleep. Opening the door, Seoyeon walked out when she noticed the figure that had just stood up from the ground. As there was only one person other than her who was staying in the room, she knew quickly who it was and called his name, "Hwa?"

What was he doing this late at night? Seoyeon was about to turn the light when Jung Hwa said, "Don't turn the lights on, Seoyeon." Seoyeon did what Jung Hwa said, leaving the lights off and she wasn't able to make out Jung Hwa's expression but his eyes were red.

"Are you alright?" asked Seoyeon walking softly toward where he was. It was dark and she couldn't see what's bellow her or if there was another person in the room than Jung Hwa and her. With no sign of other person, Seoyeon didn't know her younger brother was in the same room as her.

"I am but don't get close. I hurt myself," replied Jung Hwa, telling Seoyeon to make distance which she did the opposite instead after hearing that Jung Hwa had hurt himself.

Seoyeon pulled her brows, "What did you hurt yourself with? Where, let me see," she said and worry was evident in her voice. Although Jung Hwa and Seojun was in a pinch that Seoyeon would know how the two had been in the same room, and worse fought; Jung Hwa's lips couldn't help but to raise after hearing Seoyeon's worry.

"It's my hand," replied Jung Hwa in ease and Seoyeon who came beside him, tried to find his hand in the dark. It would have been easy to see and tend Jung Hwa's wound if she had turned on the lights but the man had said no. Was it because he didn't want to worry her?

She made her way to his hand by feeling in the dark when Jung Hwa sighed softly beside her, "That's my chest Seoyeon, more to the right side."

Seoyeon hold back her embarrassment by telling herself that the person in front of her was wounded and he needed his wound to be take care. When she felt his fingers, she felt there was something wet on it, "How did you hurt yourself?" By what? Anyone could be careless but for Jung Hwa to be careless was impossible.

Before his reply, Seoyeon felt worry adding in her mind and she turn to make her way and turn on the lights. Her movements were quick that Jung Hwa couldn't stop her. Once the lights were on, she turned her back to see Jung Hwa standing alone.

Her eyes then fell at same his hand were bleeding, the amount of blood didn't look much that had Seoyeon to raise her brows because before when she touched his hand, she felt there was a lot of blood. She look on her own hand that barely had blood on it.

"I just pick a broken glass from my room and came to take another one," replied Jung Hwa as if knowing her questions in her mind. "This is barely a paper cut, Seoyeon. It doesn't hurt but I am happy that you are worried about me."

"I do think everyone would be worried if the person they know is wounded," Seoyeon answered as she walked toward him.

"Are you sure about that? When I was wounded in the past no one cared," replied Jung Hwa, "Because I am a pureblood vampire," and everyone expect the wound wouldn't stay long as it would heal on itself with the time passes. Somewhere Seoyeon thought he would put a gloom expression while saying this but she caught his smiling face.

"Even if you could heal your wound on your own, it's still hurt, is it not?" asked Seoyeon and she wondered if she should bring Jung Hwa the first aid kit and wrap his wound? But he was a pureblood vampire and somewhere along the line, Seoyeon forgot of his ability that could heal on himself in the fracture of panic.

"I know you would understand me the most," replied Jung Hwa who then walk toward the counter of the kitchen that was near the living room and took a seat on it. "I am glad that the person I chose is you. They say the opposite complement each other like you and me." They also have similarity, added Jung Hwa.

Seoyeon wondered if Jung Hwa was somewhere lonely. After his mother's death and his brother's death, was he alone then? Sure enough Jung Hwa had his grandfather but that was still not enough to make him not feel lonely.

"We also have similarities," replied Seoyeon while looking at his hand, "I don't think the wound would be healed by a human's medicine?" she asked him to have Jung Hwa stare on her.

"Yes," he replied shortly and went in silence to admire Seoyeon's feature. Her large black eyes that were looking at him were filled with concern and Jung Hwa knows even if it wasn't him, Seoyeon would be worried to see others wounded in front of her. But there was a difference to Jung Hwa. He could tell he had form a certain soft spot in the corner of Seoyeon's heart that he could use to his advantage.

"Why doesn't it heal?" asked Seoyeon by now, usually Jung Hwa's would would have healed. She had seen his almighty healing process before that had also healed her. She took his hand and brought it in front of his face, "Maybe you should lick it? Just like what you did to me."

"That would not work. Vampire's saliva doesn't work on themself," Jung Hwa enlightened Seoyeon, "I know what you are trying to do, making me to pay back for the embarrassment I gave you by licking your wound, right?" On his question, Seoyeon's heartbeat jolted, confirming how words. "How rude for someone who took privilege of my saliva to heal her own wound."

"I didn't ask you to," mumbled Seoyeon, "But thank you," she didn't forget her manner regardless if she knew she was being played by Jung Hwa. "Why does it takes time to heal?" asked Seoyeon.

"Because at the moment I am lacking in blood, it should heal after a while. You can go to sleep," said Jung Hwa.

"I will," she replied and she checked on the surrounding where she was, noticing how the plotted plant in the corner of the room had fell down and the carpet was drenched in blood but what she took notice the most was the window of the living room which was opened. The curtain clapped on the wall with the wind blowing inside.

"Did you open the window?" asked Seoyeon and she made her way to the window, when her hand was about to reach on the curtain, Jung Hwa's hand had caught the curtain before her. His hand stayed beside her shoulder.

"I just felt a little hot," Jung Hwa then pulled the window to close and set the curtain. With one hand settled on her back, Seoyeon heard him say, "Now is time for the kitten to sleep unless you want to be eaten."

"I think I already tell you that I am not tasty," replied Seoyeon, who walked from the place, without noticing anything else.

"I am the vampire here, if your forgot too," when they reached the door of her room, Jung Hwa leaned on the wall beside her door, "Good night and this time don't wake up suddenly. You need sleep. How did you wake up anyway? Did you hear the glass broke?"

"No, I just felt I needed to wake up," replied Seoyeon and Jung Hwa didn't have a change of expression outward but inwardly, he narrowed his eyes. Seoyeon seemed to be having a sensitive instinct. "And you broke your glass in your room which is very far from mine, how would I wake up? Unless I have a very sharp hearing like you."

"Hm, you are right, good night. I'm going back too," said Jung Hwa and Seoyeon waited for him to leave but the man waited for her to enter.

"Good night," she wished him and closed the door. When the door clicked, Jung Hwa's smile disappeared and he turned his body, walking to the same window Seoyeon was about to open and pulled the window pane to look at the balcony to find no one there.

"Seems like the hunter is going to hunt for his own family now," Jung hummed. It was not his matter if Seoyeon's little brother would kill his own relatives but he doubt he would be able to. Only people who had went to madness would be able to kill their own family just like him.

Closing the door, Jung Hwa then felt his phone rang from his pocket, picking it up, the voice came to him, "Associate Jung, a body had been found in the area of the Associate building, we will need your assistance to partake in the investigation."

"Whose body?" asked Jung Hwa to the man who spoke who was Deok Jihyeang.

"Chu Sunji's body," named Deok Jihyeang and Jung Hwa raised his brow. Isn't that the name of the cocky vampire who he had broken his fingers to?

Jung Hwa could smell something fishy was going on and his lips curled, "I will be there tomorrow."
