I'm The Boss's Secretary?!
Chapter 213 - Sinking Fangs-III
Seoyeon couldn't explain what she felt when his two fang sink to her skin. There was a pain that pricked her as if she was being injected by sharp needles but his teeth was much larger than needle that somewhere frightened her. Her body felt heated as if the body heat produced inside her was being regulated faster.
When he pulled his fangs, her body felt weak and she slipped over to Jung Hwa's shoulder. Regardless of not doing anything, her breaths labored, turning her breathless. "Are you alright?" he questioned her and she looked at him with her eyes red from tears.
"How much did you drink from me? It feels like you drink a liter or two," she argued, feeling the pain stinging on her neck and her eyes closed when she winced.
"Really? But that was even less than a normal blood pack," he retorted as if he had something in him that could scale the amount of blood he took from her. When Seoyeon was about to pull herself from him and the embarrassing position she was in, Jung Hwa pulled her hand, and his tongue sneaked out to lick the place he had bitten.
The wound stung when it come to the contact of his saliva and she pushed herself from him quickly to feel her back pushing the table. "Stop it!" she yelled, licking her hands were one thing but to lick her neck! This was too much and she can't follow his behavior without feeling herself about to faint.
"I was healing your wound, remember? My saliva could heal you," Jung Hwa reasoned but his eyes seemed to look happy that he had licked her neck. "Come here its not yet healed."
"No, I will be fine," she said pushing herself to stand and her hands rubbed her upper arm that felt cold but deep inside she felt heated. "I don't need your salivas, human could get healed by themself just soon enough," she said and her body continue to shrink back by moving backward. "A-are you alright now?" she questioned because his eyes were still red in color.
"I am," whispered Jung Hwa, his lips widening to a smile and when he opened his eyes he closed after blinking, he opened again for his eyes to dip back into black color. "Are you alright?" he then questioned with his voice being very gentle that her heart skipped a beat.
"I don't feel dizzy," she replied feeling the air to be very awkward that she want to bury herself somewhere and hide.
"I know," he stood up, bringing himself to her and the distance was closed fast just by his few long strides. "I didn't took enough for you to feel sleepy or dizzy but still I did took a lot, take a good sleep once you leave," he pushed his hand on her forehead, pushing away her hair that covered her to kiss her forehead that came off as a surprise to Seoyeon and her eyes looked wide at him.
"Good night," he whispered, letting her leave and Seoyeon didn't know why but somewhere, after drinking from her neck, he seemed to be solemn as if in a thought.
Once Seoyeon had left, Jung Hwa's smile fell. His eyes looking at his room that now had turned dark. Seoyeon questioned him about his past and he had said the truth. His aunt Valerie was a sly woman and this was not the end of everything yet. He knew there was something his aunt was planning but he can't point his finger yet.
Taking a seat on the same couch where he had sat on with Seoyeon, his tongue run over his lips, tasting the sweet blood he had tasted from Seoyeon again. Whenever he recall of Seoyeon's face, his smile would always appear.
He closed his eyes, today he learned more things about Seoyeon and facts that should make him hates her more but he can't. Somewhere he found himself unable to hate Seoyeon at all no matter what she was and he doubted he would hate her if she had struck a knife on his heart, just like the way he did to his own mother.
But her mother, would never forgive him because that was just the way his mother was.
Jung Hwa recalled that decades ago when his family was still a happy one before his father knew of his mother's killings that she managed to seamlessly hid from him.
The night was dark outside and Jung Hwa who was still young at the time, stood in front of the door, his expression was without a particular emotion written over it. Against his eyes was his mother, the beautiful woman whose hair was long in a pitch black color and her eyes were red while she drink from the neck of a man who she then threw on the ground.
Jung Hwa stared down at the body of the man, and he saw the man's eyes that had rolled to the back, showing a lifeless expression.
His mother was delighted with the new drink she received and when she noticed Jung Hwa was standing near the door, her smile turn sweet at him. "My baby boy," said his mother, Jung Hyesu, and the woman walked toward him. With her knees bent, she raised her hands on his cheeks, cupping him. "Did mama's story was boring to you that you failed to fall asleep?"
"I was thirsty," replied Jung Hwa and his mother noticed his eyes on the man's body.
"That is still too early for you. The Associates have been snooping around preventing for vampires to kill humans and I do agree at some point but this man is different," said his mother to his ears, her tone speaking as if she was teaching him of things.
"Grandpa said not to kill," Jung Hwa wondered why his mother had to kill. There was no reason to kill and his grandfather with father had always against killing but his mother was different. She never shied away from killing and like now, she was proud for killing a human. He stared at the man's body to feel nothing. He didn't feel disgusted but he didn't feel overjoyed either which made him question everything the adults around him felt that felt like alien to him.
"Your grandpa never said everything he needed to say," Jung Hyesu clicked her tongue, her eyes rolling at the mention of her own father who was preventing her son from killing. "I will teach you today Hwa, that to kill takes little from us. We are vampires it is in our blood to kill and you should never feel fear, disgusted, or hesitate. Your father is a human so he can't understand what I do, your grandfather fear losing lives, but you don't want to be like your grandfather who can't kill when time is needed. Because of that he lost my mother," said the woman with her eyes looking at Jung Hwa and a fierce look appeared on her eyes as she held his upper arms. "This man over here, he tried to scam your mother. No mercy should ever be given to people who tried to harm your family, do you get that?"
"I do," replied Jung Hwa with his eyes looking at his mother. How a child was shaped is from their parents and Jung Hwa had always been under his mother's influence that he took most of his mother's traits.
From behind them a footsteps were heard and happily, his mother stood up from her seat. There was a wide smile that stretched wide her lips, "Sehun, did you wake up too, may baby boy?"
Jung Hwa turned his head, and he stared at his brother whose back faced him, "Mother shouldn't you clean the body now, before father wake up? I will lend you a hand."
"Thank you my dear," her mother sounded joyful that there was her one son who could kill without feeling a single emotion. She then turn to look at Jung Hwa, "Hwa, you should go back to sleep. Your mother will cook you something good tomorrow."
Giving his mother a nod, he left the room. At times, Jung Hwa stared back at his brother, stealing gaze to see him entering the room. When he arrived at the door of his room, he heard a small sound and looked down to see a black cat with golden eyes.
"Halsteed," called Jung Hwa but the cat didn't replied to him and only looked at his face before moving to bite his leg. Jung Hwa pulled the cat away from his leg. He still can't understand why the cat would hate him. Was it because the cat felt him as a threat for his brother?
"Even though you have a pretty golden eyes, why can't you act cuter?" he questioned and in reply, the cat hissed at him. With a tall jump, the cat flew from his side to then walk and disappear from the end of the hallways.
Jung Hwa stared at the cat and his hand then went to crumple the clothes over his chest. He can't feel anything and he didn't know why. Somewhere inside him, he felt his heart hollow and empty, void of any emotions and it made him to feel uncomfortable.
Was he different from others? But he was utterly different from his mother, father, grandfather, and his complete opposite older brother.
Why do people kill? How does it feel?
Jung Hwa can't understand it and the emotion inside him went the way it was until one day, that incident happened....
When he pulled his fangs, her body felt weak and she slipped over to Jung Hwa's shoulder. Regardless of not doing anything, her breaths labored, turning her breathless. "Are you alright?" he questioned her and she looked at him with her eyes red from tears.
