I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 247 - The Helper-I

Hearing from Deok Ji Hyeang that this person knows Hwa's grandfather, Seoyeon guessed that the man might be close with him, "Yes, Jung Hwa," she confirmed and saw Gun Nam exchanging a brief look with Chung Gon as though they were speaking of a few things with their eyes.

"As a human, it is very rare to see one walking in this building in broad daylight. But now I know, it was Hwa who brought you here. I will be going on my way now, I hope you enjoy your time here. There is no much to offer in an old place with a bloody past, but there are a few places you might enjoy."

When the man left, Seoyeon saw how Chung Gon followed closely beside him. The two didn't speak and perhaps it was because she and Deok Ji Hyeang were still near them. Once they left, Deok JiHyeang commented lowly, "They are not people you want to be acquainted with."

All this time the half-vampire had either threaten or scare. Curiosity settled on her eyes, "What do you mean?"

"Mr. Gun is known for a person who is ambitious. As ambitious as he is, there is one position that he wanted the most in the Associate."

Deok JiHyeang didn't need to continue for Seoyeon to arrive at the answer, "The head associate," she whispered.

Deok Ji Hyeang nodded, "It's known that he would twist every way and abuse his authority for that. I just thought to warn you so you wouldn't think he is a kind person. We are near."

Seoyeo was brought to a different room than all the guest rooms in the place. The room where Jung Hwa was kept was on the basement of the building which she would never guess the Associate building would have because of how old the structure was.

At first, she guessed the place would look like a cell room as the building seemed like it would have one. But when she arrived, the room where Hwa would be residing in was an unexpectedly a clean and proper single room. It wasn't too fancy but wasn't too shabby either.

Deok Ji Hyeang raised his hand and the guard who stood in front of the door immediately took out the keys that dangled from his trousers pocket to open the door before stepping away.

"The time limit to visit the person inside the cell room is ten minutes. Also, remember that inside the room there are cameras. Every word and action is recorded," Deok JiHyeang announced before closing the door when Seoyeon entered inside.

"He is like a robot, right?" was the first question Jung Hwa asked when she arrived inside the room.

Half surprised, half confused, and speechless, Seoyeon looked at him with a gaze mixed with many expressions. Only after a while did she says, "You are reckless. What were you trying to do earlier? What if you were executed there?"

"That won't happen, I know it won't happen," Jung Hwa, who had been sitting on the chair, pushed himself to walk toward her. "Were you worried for me?"

Seoyeon frowned, her lips parted to say, "I was." Her direct reply was brief but enough to surprise Jung Hwa as he didn't expect Seoyeon would give an honest reply. She closed her eyes, opening it again with a more concerned expression, "You frightened me the entire time, saying nothing about everything. I almost believed that I won't see you again."

It wasn't too rare for Seoyeon to be honest. She was a person who was direct with her emotion, but call it her trauma or fear, it took her more time than most people to love or treasure a person out of the fear that one day they would disappear or die because of her. That fear rooted since childhood and it wasn't something easy to overcome. Jung Hwa was well aware of it, therefore, he took patience to shortened the distance between them and open a way to enter Seoyeon's heart.

Today's incident must have frightened more her than he thought. While Jung Hwa felt apologetic for scaring her without informing her of the Associate's notice to capture him, he was also happy to see the large leap she took in the progress of their relationship. The scare had also become a push for her and the feeling that had bloomed perfectly inside her.

Jung Hwa reached out his hand, "I'm sorry," his words bounced lightly from his lips.

"You are not," and a light frown pulled Seoyeon's brows, despite the fierce gaze she directed to him out of anger, there was a small smile in between her lips which came from her relief to know that Jung Hwa is safe for now. "You are smiling, you know," she reminded, as it appeared Jung Hwa wasn't aware of the joyful smile he showed to her at the moment.

"I know, but I can't help it. To hear that you are concerned about me it's something that I find myself very delighted with, you might not know but it means a lot to me," pulling her hand, Jung Hwa picked her fingers to her place her knuckles on his lips. The touch to his lips was almost very light that tickled deep into her heart. "If only you would show me more about your feeling everyday and not just today."

Seoyeon decided to test the water, not trying to behave coy but the words slipped from her lips before she even realized it, "If I do that, then what would happen?"

Jung Hwa lifted his head that bent to look at her fingers, tracing every inch of her skin before looking at her eyes and doing the same as he did to her fingers, staring, "If you do that, the only thing that would be inside my heart is happiness. I would be very delighted even if I learn that tomorrow wouldn't come."

She didn't know what to say, Hwa's words were filled with only sincerity, "You are silly," was the only words she managed to say, seeing him smile, she turned the smile in the same tune despite feeling slightly annoyed but what he did earlier. But she put aside her annoyance, feeling more than grateful nothing came to harm him and the execution didn't took place.

Currently Jung Hwa was standing close to her with only three to four inches distance between their shoulders. It was enough distance for her to speak without the camera getting anything, and she whispered, "Don't even joke about tomorrow wouldn't come. I don't want that to happen to you," she spoke too quickly for it to be caught well, as she was embarrassed to say the words slowly, but Jung Hwa took every breaths that escaped from her lips, not missing any words he deserve to hear and took enjoyment from her words. "You don't know how worried I am. I almost felt my head stopped because of you."

Jung Hwa chuckled, his finger crawled over her lower lips, climbing down toward her chin and stayed there, "You shouldn't have worried then, this is something that often happen to me each three to four years. Did you see how my aunt left the courtroom earlier?"

"I did, she looked disappointed."

"As expected," Jung Hwa hummed his words as if he knew what Valerie would looked like as she stormed off the courtroom as though he could imagine the scene perfectly inside his mind. "On her eyes I am a thorn, it must be because I look so much like my mother who she hated. I remembered how surprised she was when she looked at me when I was still young. Yet, she never forget to use every chances there is to use me for her own concern. Not that I expected her to show me kindness anyway."

It would be surprising to others how much a family could wish the other to be dead and even go as far as put them to trials where they could die, but Seoyeon who had been poisoned more than nine times by her relatives, could feel an emotional understanding with what Jung Hwa had went through. And perhaps, Jung Hwa's case was worse as he had to experience it longer than her.

Remembering Deok Ji Hyeang's warning of their time which was brief, Seoyeon bring back the case, "What will you do now? Is there anything I could help other than what you told me in the paper?"
