I'm The Boss's Secretary?!
Chapter 34 - Love Is A Rare Case
Sliding his waistcoat on top his white shirt, black outer suit with a pin stripe patterns. Fixing his sleeve cuff, Jung Hwa let his black hair to follow its waves nature and had some of his short fringe to be swept on his right head side. Threading his path, he walked toward his necktie shelf to take one necktie but come at a stop. He stared at the neck tire, recalling Han Seoyeon and chose not to wear his necktie now.
Passing by the dining room, his grandfather popped his face out of nowhere. "How is it going?"
Jung Hwa rose his brows, feigning a clueless expression for the old man to repeat again. "So how did it goes with the blind date? I heard from the servants that you went to an aquarium with a lady! Is she who I think she is?" Using his hooking tone to fish some expression from his grandson but receive nothing.
"Grandfather, have you heard of the killings for the half vampires?" He took a change of the conversation and the old man fell for his question. "I heard, it's nothing new if it is a human but this time it's a half vampire, Lee Young and his men are researching for this matter but nothing came up, what's wrong?" He saw Jung Hwa humming in a thought.
"It's nothing but I just thought that it's dangerous." At his words, his grandfather showed a confused expression. "It is but not for you a pure blood?"
"I mean for humans," Jung Hwa picked a smile and spoke. "Then grandfather, I will be taking my leave now, I wish you a good day."
"Alright." His grandfather returned, looking at his back in a still confused expression.
Dew dripped down from leaves over leads before stopping to idle on top of her head. Picking her steps to ascend the stairs, Han Seoyeon entered the building when she came on a stop. Jung Hwa turned his eyes, fixing his gaze over hers, he smiled. "Good morning Secretary Han, what a coincidence we arrived at the same time today."
"Is that so?" When it was true that she usually came earlier than Jung Hwa, she didn't notice it.
"You usually come early so the chance are rare." He continued and they both walked toward the elevator. Han Seoyeon gazed up, as she rarely had the chance to walk beside him side by side, it took her a moment to realize of how tall his body was and that without straining her head she couldn't reach to his sight. But soon her gaze stopped at his neck. "Did you perhaps forgot your tie, Mr. Jung?"
He had been wondering when she will ask the question. Placing a hand down over the collar of his neck he hummed. "It seemed I forgot to wear one today."
"Do you have a spare necktie?" Jung Hwa took something from his pocket and took her hand to place the necktie. "I do."
Looking at the necktie on her palm, Han Seoyeon wondered why does it felt as if he had prepared the necktie? In the first place if he had the necktie, why didn't he wear it?
"I should move my neckties to the office." He met her eyes and smiled sweetly. "It's a bother if this happen again so I better to move it, don't you think?" Should he asked her this?
"It's your office, Mr. Jung you should choose what you think is the best."
"That is true but I do still have to receive a word from the person who will be fixing my necktie everyday? If it isn't a problem, Secretary Han please help me." At the end of his words, Jung Hwa bent his head, waiting for her to fix the necktie on his neck. As he was taller than her, it felt weird to have him lower his head to her. Taking the necktie she placed it carefully from the back of his head, having him lifting his chin, he fixed his posture as she tied the knot.
His gaze didn't stop following her fingers movements. Taking one ends to another, he noticed how her eyes had been avoiding to look at him. Perhaps she had become conscious to him as a man? That should be great, he thought. He had done many thing to woo her and was worried if she took his advances as something done without meaning.
Once she tied the knot, her eyes met his gaze which had been fixed at her and pursed her lips. "Is it good?" He asked and saw her nod. "It's a knot made by a capable secretary, Mr. Jung. If you ask me of course I will reply that it's perfect." She received a chuckle from the man.
"Then that's good." As he reply, the elevator arrived at the same time. With the two entering the elevator. Inside the cramped box alone, Han Seoyeon felt a little awkward and curiously raised a question she had been wondering. "Do blood taste different when it is drink from different people, Mr. Jung?"
"What a peculiar question." Jung Hwa said. "I thought you wouldn't ask me anything regarding vampires, did it piqued your interest?"
"As a capable Secretary I need to know a few things regarding vampires, as Mr. Jung you are one." She said her eyes avoiding to meet him for no reason.
"Is that so?" She saw her nodding and replied. "To answer your question from earlier, blood doesn't taste different. Each people have the same taste of blood and there are no different although in some cases there are differences."
She hummed taking a note to his words and continued. "Such as?"
"It's a tale, they said when a vampire met their fated soulmate, their blood would taste sweeter than any others. But it is a rare case."
"Why is it a rare case?" The way he pressed his tone to mention the rare case took her attention.
"Because vampires rarely fall in love. They lack emotions more than any others and one in particular is love. In the vampires' society the term of love for vampire is a tale itself." Was that the case? Jung Hwa confessed his love for her, was that a different case?
"But it isn't impossible." He said again and gathered her attention.
"Then-" Han Seoyeon had Just said a word when she felt the floor where she stood at greatly shake.. Falling to her knees, she realized it wasn't the floor that shook but the entire elevator was shaking.
Passing by the dining room, his grandfather popped his face out of nowhere. "How is it going?"
