I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 372 - Tying Loose Ends-III

Ava stared at Seoyeon. She couldn't believe the words that Seoyeon said. Does that mean all the catalyst shared the same soul?

"You have disappointed the mistress," Ava stated, showing a smile as if she wasn't deterred by Seoyeon's eerie statement. "She had tried to show you kindness but you had betray her hope and wounded her son."

Son? The only person she mortally wounded in the hospital was Taehyung's younger brother. Taein. They were the sons of the Queen?!

"It seems like you know who it is," Ava stated while looking at Seoyeon. "At first I thought you were someone strong but I guess after seeing you I realize how wrong I am. The mistress want to show you how painful it is to almost having her family wounded," and the witchess smile widely where the corner of her lips almost touched her earlobes.

"And you are also helping the dark witches, Gun Nam," Seoyeon dropped the politeness, ignoring the fact the man was older than her. "You don't know the consequences. I have once worked with the Mistress as well. Do you know what it gets me?"

Gun Nam laughed, "Why do I have to be scared of facing the consequences when I know I would win? Consequences from who do I have to be feared of?"

Seoyeon spread her hands beside her and raised them, fizzing silver lights formed from the surface of her hands and it sizzle with electricity charge.

"Us," Seoyeon replied. When Ava blasted a purple ball, Seoyeon avoided it swiftly. From behind, Seoyeon noted how the wall that endure the touch of the purple ball blew to pieces.

Seoyeon jumped to the rubbles that had created a small hill. When she had enough height, Seoyeon jumped down, arriving right in front of Ava. The witchess was surprised because most witchess fought in distance as they had to utter spell. It Seoyeon was originally not a witch.

Once she arrived, she raised one of her leg high enough before using her other leg the foundation to wheel and kick Ava's head. The witchess was unprepared, allowing Seoyeon to bring her down to the ground.

As Seoyeon moved forward to put her last attack to Ava that could kill the dark witchess; from behind someone had caught hold of her arms, stopping her from moving.

Seoyeon twisted her neck to see Gun Nam.

"Now!" The man yelled to Ava who was on the ground, struggling to stand and even when she had stand up, her movements weren't stable as she did a drunk movement while walking toward her. But the need to win in Ava was stronger than her pain. She moved forward, enveloping her hand with the purplish aura.

Seoyeon sighed. She frowned as she struggled to get out but Gun Nam had used all his power to put her movements in halt.

At the time, Haneul whispered, 'It will stun you a little.'

"I am fine," whispered Seoyeon while Gun Nam wondering if the woman was crazy by talking to herself right now.

Fortunately, the hunters limited their entry where only Ava could enter after Gun Nam. Though Ava was not as strong as the Late Queen or Yo InJoo, because she hadn't polish her skill to kill for so long, Seoyeon had only slept and see how to control her power from Haneul through her dream.

While Ava wasn't too strong, she was formidable for Seoyeon's current condition.

Ava stepped closer toward them. She reached out her hand to Seoyeon's chest.

"It's a pity; you will never get to see your boyfriend who had been buried inside room with all the broken walls," Gun Nam laughed as if it was a joke.

Seoyeon's eyes widened. When the tip of Ava's finger almost touch her clothes, Seoyeon closed her eyes only to open it again for the silver color of her eyes to turn brighter than before.

From her, a burst of power echoed like ripples in water when an object was thrown inside.

Both Gun Nam and Ava couldn't handle the attack and they were thrown away to the ground, flopping to the nearest floor of walls.

The Hunters beside Seoyeon was ready to attack; they had everything prepared to end the life out of Gun Nam and Ava but they couldn't move or react out of the fear they would only bother Seoyeon.

But once Ava was thrown to the ground near them, the hunters immediately poured rain attacks on the witchess.

Ava had only been thrown on the floor, receiving a deep wound as the bone on her shoulder dislocated but worse, the hunters came to attack her. With her hand on her shoulders, Ava tried to blast all of them while receiving injuries as she didn't manage to escape some of the attacks that came from either knifes or physical attacks.

Seoyeon sighed and heaved her breaths in difficulty because the power that she blasted earlier momentarily used the air she had on her lungs until she was left with ten second of unable to breath.

When Ava was about to blast the people with her purple ball again, Seoyeon raised her hand and took the purple ball from her in a magnetic movement. She had pulled the ball only by sheer power.

Ava's eyes almost fell out of its socket. When Seoyeon threw the purple ball outside, on the wall that had broken from Ava's blast earlier which connected to outside, Seoyeon had made sure to throw it upward, so the purple ball blast far from the building and the people around them.

"This is our limit!" Gun Nam yelled with a click tongue as he pierced his hand to a hunter's stomach.

"Oh no, you are not running away!" Seoyeon spread her hand to accumulate her power on her palm but Ava had ran toward Gun Nam and disappeared from the place after touching her once.

Seoyeon clenched her teeth as she was too late to stop them. She hold herself back as a sudden fit of anger roared in her heart. Trying to suppress her power was very difficult as the catalyst's ability were very dependent on her emotions. If she let herself be controlled by the power, Seoyeon knew it would leave only to destruction.

She stopped herself and turned to see how the hunters had went to remove the rubble from the room where the blasted sounded in the beginning.

Hwa!

Seoyeon came forward and the hunter who saw her quickly took hold of her hand, "Miss, can you please remove the rubbles?"

'It is hard to imagine how hostile they were to me before,' whispered Haneul beside Seoyeon's ears. 'In the past, even when one of my vessel offered to help, it only led to them being shunned further and even attacked.'

"Time is moving," Seoyeon answered Haneul, having the man to look at her with confusion and she ignored the fat she had just whispered her words aloud. "I will levitate all the rubbles on this room for ten minutes. Bring those who was buried out of the room, immediately!"

"Yes, ma'am!" The hunters shouted in unison as it was how they were taught to.

Seoyeon moved to a place where she could see everything from afar. Standing at the place, she circled both hands over another with closed eyes. She channeled her entire power while mapping the entire room in her mind.

By the time Seoyeon opened her eyes again, the rubbles slowly moved from the ground, suspending on air as if they were clouds.

The Hunters poured inside the room in immediate action. They quickly went to those who were buried.

Seoyeon looked around the people, prepared to see some of them dying and yet when she saw, the people was surrounded by a thick red ball; similar to a large soap bubble but thicker and red in color.

At the end of the room, Seoyeon locked eyes with Jung Hwa. His hand was bleeding but the blood didn't dripped down on the ground. Instead, it was flying and dancing in the air, telling Seoyeon that the person who had protect the people inside the room were him.

She saw how he smiled, putting her heart at rest.

They vacate to a different room once the people who were buried inside had been all evacuated. Some of the victims, including Collin who was sitting right in front of Gun Nam didn't manage to escape the blast. Tough they were not buried by the bricks and died on spot, some of them suffered great wounds of burn on either their arm or for those who were standing close, their face.

"We should have suspected this," Collin said with a great disappointment to himself.

"It was inevitable," Seoyeon answered, she didn't blame anyone. How can she when they didn't expect the Associate to move first.  No, she corrected herself. The main culprit here wasn't the Associate but Gun Nam and she shouldn't connect him with the rest of the vampires.

"What will happen now?" she asked. Their plan was to attack sneakily by it didn't seem like it would be possible.

"For now, we would need to find another acceptable method as noting our mission to keep our profile low has failed," Jung Hwa answered standing beside her and Seoyeon was so relieved to see him without any wounds.

"I can only think that now Gun Nam would paint us as the enemy who started the attack to the vampires. I want to keep less death and the unjustly death to the vampires who were tricked."

Jung Hwa hummed when a grin broke on his lips. "Maybe we should go to their lair. First kill the hands which are the witches before then killing the head, Gun Nam.. With that, we will have lest likely possibility of having to go against all the vampires that were tricked by him."
