He was disappointed, he was wronged, and he didn't know why he couldn't cultivate such a little fate in five hundred years.

I dreamed of Bodhisattva again that night.

The Bodhisattva said that if he still wants to meet that person and build a tree for another five hundred years, he might be able to cultivate a little fate.

He felt that since he had waited five hundred years, it would not be a big deal to wait another five hundred years.

He really likes that man.

In this way, he stood by the river for another five hundred years. Five hundred years later, finally one day, the man walked over from the other side of the river again.

This time he wasn't excited, didn't shake the branches or leaves, just stood there quietly.

For this day, he gave up the opportunity to be a man, idiotically built a tree for a thousand years, suffered too much, and broke too much heart.

He can already wait for that person's arrival with a calm heart.

I saw that man walked towards him, walked under the shade of his tree, and sat down peacefully. It was seven or forty-nine days.

It turned out that the man was the Buddha Shakyamuni, and this tree was the Bodhi tree, and later became a Buddha with the Buddha. "

Suddenly the Buddha said something. If it had nothing to do with the vulgarity, Monk Bianji was a little puzzled.

At the end of hearing, he understood that this is another way for the Buddha to advise himself.

Sure enough, the Buddha continued:

"In fact, each of us always has a bodhi tree in our heart. Some people end up succeeding because of their determination, and some people end up miserably because of fleeing.

A linden tree, two outlooks on life.

Among all beings, we need to look for such a bodhi tree. As long as it is worth looking forward to, no matter how far or difficult it is, we should stick to it.

Of course, you are for a woman and for the holy love in your heart. However, your holy love for the Buddha was once your holy love. Is it true that you have to give up all your efforts? "

The words of the Tathagata Buddha fell, and the Buddhas present were silent.

These people have gone through the six sufferings of the world and converted to Buddhism after seeing through the world.

Now that someone wants to return to the vulgarity, there are still different opinions in my heart.

Some think that if you have a Buddha in your heart, you can never become a monk in your body, while others think that returning to the vulgar is disrespectful to the Buddha.

Seeing the monk Jing Ji kept silent, the Buddha said again:

"It is said that human beings have 108 kinds of troubles. Shakyamuni said that these troubles are the culprit for mankind's suffering.

Among these troubles, there are three most powerful ones, namely "desire", "stupidity" and "irritation", which are called the "three poisons".

Secular people are living creatures living under the control of these "three poisons".

Want to live a better life than others, want to make money easily, want to get ahead as soon as possible.

This desire for material and reputation is hidden in everyone's heart.

If these desires cannot be fulfilled, they will turn into anger: "Why are things not going well?"

When you are angry, you will be jealous of those successful people.

Most people will be dominated by such troubles anytime and anywhere.

However, people will never feel happiness if they are at the mercy of the "three poisons".

Once, Buddha Shakyamuni used such a story to describe people's greed and to depict people indulging in desire.

He once said that there is no more story that can express human greed so vividly.

The story goes like this:

One day in late autumn, in the falling leaves and cold wind, a traveler hurriedly walked home.

When I walked somewhere, I suddenly looked down, and there was a white thing under my feet. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be human bones.

How can there be such a large number of human bones here? He couldn't help being terrified and puzzled.

He just ran forward, and when he looked up, a huge tiger came up on him, roaring and approaching him.

The traveler was frightened: "Ah! So many human bones turned out to be leftovers from tigers."

He hurriedly turned around and fled for his life, but he couldn't choose his way. He ran up to the cliff with no way to go before, and there was a tiger behind him, sinking into a dilemma.

Looking around, there was a pine tree on the cliff. He hurriedly climbed it, but the tiger is a cat. It opened its terrifying claws and began to climb the tree.

"Today, my life is over!" Just as he was so desperate, he suddenly saw a cane hanging below. He had no choice. He slid down the cane, but the cane did not reach the bottom, and the traveler was suspended in the air. in.

Below is the sea with violent winds, huge waves, and raging waves.

Although the tiger above couldn't climb down the cane, it still stared at him with its tongue out and drooling, just as the so-called "watching a tiger".

I was about to take a breath, and when I was thinking about what to do next, I heard a rustling sound from above, and when I fixed my eyes, two black and white mice were alternately gnawing at the roots of the cane.

Once the cane is bitten by the rat's teeth, the traveler will fall into the sea.

When life was hanging by a thread, the traveler shook the cane desperately, trying to drive the mouse away.

Under the sway, a wet, warm liquid fell on his face, licked it with his mouth, it was sweet honey.

It turned out that there was a honeycomb at the root of the rattan, and once it was shaken, the honey would fall down.

Licking the nectar-like honey, the traveler became so intoxicated that he forgot that the rattan was still being eaten by the rat, and he reluctantly enjoyed the delicious honey.

However, just below the sea, three giant red, black, and blue dragons appeared in the violent wind and huge waves, waiting for him to feast after falling.

The traveler did not dare to look down, but dared to look up at the hive, shaking the cane and licking the fallen honey.

Buddha Shakyamuni said: "This is our human nature."

You may find it funny after listening to it, but this is exactly what we are now.

The story told by Buddha Shakyamuni can be explained as follows:

The traveler in the story walked home alone in the cold autumn wind.

The same is true in our life. No matter how many friends we have had, life is still a journey of one person in the final analysis. One person at birth and one person at death.

Here, the tiger is a metaphor for impermanence, which means death.

From the moment people are born, they are threatened with death, and the shadow of the tiger that died chases us all the time.

Therefore, people will try all kinds of health care methods, ask a doctor to see a doctor, or convert to religion, and try all kinds of ways to avoid death.

The pine trees that I finally climbed refer to the status and property accumulated so far.

But even with these, death will come without mercy. At this point, status and property are of no use. "

Tathagata Buddha said here, raised his eyes to the monk Jianji, "You can understand what this seat is talking about, in the face of life and death, everything is vain. Of course, it also includes your love."

If life is gone, then what does love count as?

These words conceal the meaning of caution, allowing the monk to understand the situation at the moment. Once someone does not follow the creed of Buddhism and insists on returning to the vulgar, the end may be miserable!

A cold and solemn atmosphere spreads in Da Leiyin Temple...
