Journey Towards Greatness

Julian took out his Pokeball as he knew that the pokemon that is about to enter his sight is at least a champion-level pokemon.

The pokemon slowly walked out of its cave as its eyes locked onto Julian, its head was slowly revealed to Julian and he was very surprised seeing the size of this pokemon.

It's not the biggest pokemon he has ever seen, compared to some of the massive pokemons, this one is very small, what surprised Julian is the size discrepancy between this pokemon and the pokemon of the same species.

This pokemon is the totem pokemon of Verdant Cavern, Gumshoos.

An average Gumshoos only grow about 0.7 meters tall but this totem pokemon is almost as tall as Julian, which is three times as big as an average Gumshoos.

Even Julian's own pokemon who are fed the best and exposed to Omniforce have such exceptional growth.

The totem Gumshoos jumped from its high situated cave onto the ground and growled at Julian, Julian looked at the totem Gumshoos and could tell that this one is as strong as an elite level pokemon which confused him.

He was sure, he felt something stronger from inside the cave and he is also sure that this Gumshoos is the source behind it.

Before Julian could think of how to deal with this Gumshoos in front of him, it launched itself towards him very aggressively trying its best to dig its teeth into Julian.

Julian quickly jumped to the side and dodged Gumshoos and threw his Pokeball in front of him releasing Florges.

Florges came out of her Pokeball and stared down the massive Gumshoos which continued to growl angrily at Julian and now Florges.

Julian didn't expect Gumshoos to be so aggressive, principal Samson didn't specify this Gumshoos being aggressive at all, he even stated that he personally interacted with Gumshoos and didn't feel threatened.

So Julian started to wonder why Gumshoos is being so aggressive right now.

Gumshoos pounced on Florges with every inch of its body bursting with power, Florges didn't bother to dodge Gumshoos and used Energy Ball and sent it shooting towards Gumshoos.

The Energy Ball hit Gumshoos right on its face sending the giant flying through the air, it's body crashed against the trunk of a tree extremely hard causing the tree to shake and leaves to fall down along with some fruits hanging on it.

The Gumshoos grunted in pain and got back to its feet through some struggle, for the first time since it became a totem pokemon, it lost an exchange against another pokemon.

It suddenly roared and did something that caught Julian by surprise, as soon as it roared, the energy around the whole area suddenly started to rush towards the Gumshoos and fuse into it, the Gumshoos suddenly grew a little more, like a field of energy started to pulse around it.

Julian suddenly felt the power of Gumshoos skyrocket, from an elite level it directly jumped directly towards the champion level, maybe even stronger than a champion level pokemon.

Julian "Now things are getting interesting"

Julian said as he felt the energy around Gumshoos has the same signature as the energy from a Z-move.

Julian 'Is this aura the reason behind the creation of Z-crystals?'

Julian thought to himself as he let the Gumshoos continue to get stronger, once the Gumshoos was fully powered up, it opened its mouth wide open and used Hyper Beam.

The Hyper Beam that it released out of its mouth was also way more powerful than Julian expected, it was not only the Gumshoos that reached champion level but even its attacks seem to have been boosted in power.

This Hyper Beam should be able to take out even a champion-level pokemon if one gets hit and Julian isn't taking chances.

Julian "Use Moonblast"

Florges lifted her hands up in the air as the flower garden around her neck started to glow pulsating with limitless energy, suddenly a massive ball of energy appeared above her head.

The energy ball then shot a powerful concentrated beam at the incoming Hyper Beam and intercepted it, the two moves clashed causing a deafening sound to wash over the whole cavern, the sound could be heard even at the entrance of the cavern as its sound waves bounced all the way till there.

The two moves seem to be equally matched in power as one tried to overpower the other, the Gumshoos soon started to tire out as the Hyper Beam took a lot of energy out of it.

Even with the boosted power from the energy source, it couldn't keep using the Hyper Beam.

Being a wild pokemon, it isn't as efficient at using its energy compared to a trained champion-level pokemon of Julian, that is Florges.

Soon Florges's Moonblast was able to overpower the Hyper Beam by concentrating all of its energy into a single point splitting the Hyper Beam right through the middle.

The Moonblast then continued forward and hit Gumshoos right in its mouth and sent it flying through the air, the Gumshoos crashed hard against the massive tree trunk once again but it was able to get up.

The energy aura around it continued to pulse but it looks much weaker than before, Julian was not going to miss this chance and let the Gumshoos recover.

Julian decided to end it.

Julian "Use Solar Beam"

Florges started to collect energy from the sunlight seeping through the gaps on top, once she was charged up, she locked onto Gumshoos and blasted it at full power.

Gumshoos could only watch with its eyes wide open as it just got to its feet and came face to face with a Solar Beam.

The Solar Beam hit Gumshoos right on its face and pressed it hard against the tree trunk and continued to push its face deeper into the tree, once the Solar Beam stopped, Gumshoos's head could be seen pressed against the tree trunk with it being completely out cold.
