Journey Towards Greatness

Now that the totem pokemon was knocked out, Julian has some time to check the environment and figure out why a totem pokemon has such a drastic difference compared to other pokemons here.

Julian "Florges, keep an eye on it".

Julian said and started to look around while he spread his Omniforce everywhere to scan the area, the most interesting place in this area is of course the cave that is high up against the walls of the cavern.

Julian used his agility and leg strength to do a few jumps and arrived in front of it, the cave in front of him looked very dark with no light entering it. He took out a flashlight and entered the cave.

The cave was not too big so Julian didn't have to look for much before he found some interesting things, first and foremost he found a special crystal stuck on a shiny colorful surface, this special crystal is none other than a Z-Crystal.

Julian looked at this Z-Crystal and identified it as the Normalium Z, the normal type Z-Crystal allows a pokemon to use the move called Breakneck Blitz.

Julian smiled and removed the Z-Crystal from the wall and stored it in his pouch and started to look around the cave, he found several shiny surfaces around the cave which has an indent in them, these indents have a similar shape to a Z-Crystal indicating that this is where the Z-Crystals form.

Seeing so many indents inside the cave, Julian wondered how often these Z-Crystals form, he also saw an incomplete Z-Crystal forming in one of these indents.

Julian got curious and used his Omniforce to check the indents and found energy flowing through the shiny surface and into the indents forming the Z-Crystal, it was not only this one particular Indent, every shiny surface that seems to be coming from the ground and connecting to the ceiling is being provided this energy.

Julian looked up and found the spot where all the shiny surface is meeting and found something intriguing, he found a plant landing upside down that is filled with energy.

Julian "So this is the reason behind its strength"

Julian said as he looked at the bud that is still far away from maturity, this plant was brimming with energy and this should be the reason behind the gigantism.

Julian wanted to take this plant with him but seeing how this plant has not grown even after feeding on so much energy, he would be taking something very important from the totem Gumshoos who needs it more than Julian.

Julian looked around and found a few more plants around the cave but they didn't have the same energy as the previous one but they still had some energy in them, Julian decided to take them with him to research.

After picking up a few plants, he walked out of the cave to find another pokemon knocked out by Florges, this pokemon is none other than a giant Raticate.

This Raticate is big but not as big as the Gumshoos, Julian approached the Raticate and inspected it. He already guessed what happened here, Raticate might have tried to sneak in but got stopped by Florges.

Julian inspected Raticate and found the same kind of energy that is inside Gumshoos but the energy inside Raticate is slowly fading away causing it to lose its size.

Julian "I see, so these pokemon rely on that plant to grow bigger and stronger, if they stop eating it, they will slowly lose their size and power.

It looks like Gumshoos was able to get its hands on the plant and consumed it and overthrew the Raticate and became the ruling totem pokemon of this cavern.

For Raticate to gain back its position, it needs to get that plant.

Now that Julian knows how totem pokemons are born along with how Z-Crystals are formed, he was done here, he sent Florges back to her Pokeball and walked out of the cavern.

As soon as he left, the cavern became lively again as the pokemons inside started to battle. With both leaders down and out, it is up to their followers to win back the cavern so that their leader can regain control of the cavern again.

Julian didn't bother to stay around and check what happens in the tavern, right now he wants to go back and talk to principal Samson and discuss what happened today.

It took him an hour to get back to the school but when he got back to the school was still in process so he had to wait around till all the classes ended.

Julian watched as children came running out of their classes and left the school so he went to Samson's office and waited for his arrival, though he is the principal, he does teach a few classes so he is always not available at the principal's office.

Julian had to wait for a few minutes for principal Samson to arrive and when he did, both of them immediately entered Samson's office, as Julian had a lot to discuss with Samson.
