Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening

Protect all of our children she says, I guess I pretty much don't have a choice but to see this through to the end. The staff in Asha's hand was a silver so white bright it was white, etched with runes and scripts of a long dead elven language, and ending with a crescent moon that held a star in the middle. It was ornate, delicate with a tassel flowing from where the crescent moon joined the staff. I knew from experience that this was a casters staff, but that crescent moon was sharp enough to cleave flesh and bone in a heartbeat. Which was why when she swung it, the overly pompous shiny god and Dracula quickly defended, and explosion of sound and power filling the air.

I turned back to the project in front of me, calling on my Divine energy to bind the 90 rune circles I had made to each of the 18 pillars, at five rune circles per pillar. I couldn't do it all at the same time, it had to be one at a time in a sequence that was extremely random. Like a combination, because it wasn't just about destroying the pillars, whoever wanted to gain access to Ethernalia Leonis would have, remove the seals, and to do that it has to be done in the sequence they were placed. And with how frantic I'm feeling right now, I doubt even I would be able to remember how it was carried out.

The sequence was confusing enough that I didn't follow all 18 pillars one after the other, and even then the five rune circles that each pillars required weren't placed one after the other either. I could place the 3rd rune circle of the 11th pillar while the first was just getting it's 1st Rune circle. It only took me a while to realize that this whole placement wasn't an elaborate ploy, it was just a panicked one. At the very least I kept my focus, until Asha was smashed into the ground, the Sun god now in his divine form swinging his massive sword towards her body. That was enough to draw my attention away from my task, enough to let Dracula think he could sneak behind and stab me in the back once again, probably trying to kill me this time rather than putting me in a coma for 12 fuċkɨnġ years.

*Boom!*

The Divine Earth Souls formed a formation behind me to defend against the strike, quite a few of them were destroyed in the process, but as usual the residual energy left behind from the destruction was absorbed by those of them still alive, empowering them and increasing their abilities. Their sudden appearance had caught Dracula off guard, and that was a mistake on his part as the Wind Souls started a gale rife with lightning around him. The sizzle and sparks of divine lightning could be heard as in different intervals the lightning flew out of the game to smash into the god of vampires, but it wasn't over, this was just the first step in the counter attack as the Fire Souls blew streams of extremely hot divine soul flames into the rapidly spinning gale that had transformed into a tornado of flames, lightning and heat.

Dracula gave an annoyed and pained yelled as he was being drowned under the flames, cutting winds and shocking lightning. I shifted my attention back to Asha to see her flip away as the Shiny god smashed his sword into the crater her body had previously occupied. She took advantage of his lever extension to smash the side of her staff into the side of his head, reliving the god of his helmet and exposing his shiny bald head. It was smooth, too smooth, enough that I could even see my reflection from my position in the sky. He snarled out in anger, only to get a face full of moon beam, courtesy of Asha's staff. He was blasted backwards, earning a chuckle from me as the last of the rune circles locked into place. Now for the final part, I had to power it up, and buy enough time for it to set up, that should.

"arghhhhh!" golden blood poured out of my lips, as my insides burned. I turned my ferocious gaze to badly burnt Dracula who had somehow escaped the tornado of flames to sneak up behind me and stab me clean through my heart, a smile on his partly burnt face, as golden black blood dribbled from the side. He pulled himself closer to me as he whispered, making sure to twist his knife with every word he spoke to me, rage, anger, reluctance and jealousy etched on his face in a way I never imagined possible, this guy hated me to the very core… but why?

"It should be mine, everything you have should be mine. The queens, the children, the kingdom all of it should be mine! I built it, I stead you came from nowhere and took it, you took it from me! So if I can't have it King Kael of Spero! Then no one else can hahahahahaha so die! Die for me! Die!" each time he said die, he pulled the knife out and stabbed it back in, all within the same area, accurately making sure he was getting my heart with every hit. And then all of a sudden he was no longer there, his head flying through the air as his Divine Essence surged into my body, all at the direction of Asha who was looking extreme bloody and injured.

Then there was black beam of light that smashed into Asha, sending her flying to the ground where her shiny bald brother flew up and stabbed his massive sword through her body. Using enough power and speed that a singularity in space and time was formed, creating a black hole behind her. I roared out in anger about to move, only for silvery white chains made from Asha's energy to appear and hold me in place.

"Finish it! Protect out children, protect our family!"

"Oh shut up sister! Just Die already will you! The herald is here now… perhaps it would be better for you to watch your precious 'Husband' die before you do. " at his words I noticed a new presence in the battlefield… the same one that had fired the dark beam that attacked Asha… a boy no older than 6. With eyes as black as death and hair as white as snow, black veins snaking across the adolescent body as the presence of the Devourer wafted off his body in an extremely thick aura, much more than I have ever felt….. It was as if I was looking at the Devourer himself, and for the first time in a long time… I felt fear.
