Kael Cor: A Vampire's Awakening

Chapter 430 - Hell We Rampage

I could smash the fortress to bite in seconds and there would be nothing left but rubble in it's wake, but I was looking for answers, directions into what step I had to take next, which demon I had to kill first and where I could find the fuċkɨnġ gods responsible for the death of my wife. I stepped through the rubble of the smashed wall and raised my hand up just in time to catch almost a dozen flocks of demons trying to flank me from the air. I clenched my hands as the blood in the bodies burst out, before moving through the air to swirl around me, putting me in the middle like the rings around a planet. I condensed the blood, turning it from liquid to something solids, with gleaming sheen to it as I gave it an edge, a massive blood chakram. Then I sent it spinning.

A humming sound filled the air as the blood chakram spun with a fury, it went through demon after demon, growing bigger and spinning faster as it took their blood too. And when there were no more large crowds of demons in the vicinity for the chakram to cut through, I spread my arms apart and broke it down into hundreds of thousands of spinning disks the size of a coin. It was Joshua's used of the wind that had given me inspiration for such a move. And even though it was not a skill, my mastery over blood was more than enough to give the move enough power to leave chills in the spines of my enemies.

The disks went down into the volcano, into the tunnels, and in the air were hundreds of demons were trying to do battle with cloud of red and black bats and aura that was Teluna. They dove into the bodies of the demons, spinning and tearing and reaping lives as more and more of the someone were eradicated. It didn't matter if they were a part of the collective or still just normal, my attacks did not differentiate, everyone and everything died, until that was left was a sky raining blood and bodies and desolate earth bathed in blood and corpses. It was a harrowing sight, scary, but one that I couldn't help but admire the beauty of, this is art.

There was almost no one else left as Teluna dropped down besides me and Kodak besides Joshua, Asare took care of the remaining stragglers with quick precise strikes, as we raised our gaze to the fortress itself. There was a central tower within it, it was more like a town than a fortress, but the walls were high enough that they would have stopped most invasive forces, but with demons capable of flight by either biological or magical means, those walls probably didn't much. However I could smell magic in the air, and beyond just smelling I could see it, I turned to Joshua who nodded his head and pointed towards the central tower in the fortress, the very place Kodak's hammer of destruction came to a stop.

"There's powerful magic in the air, demon magic. And funny enough it seems to be a series of wards or rather seals used to protect the building in front of us. Since you became a god you lost your sense of magic, but I can still fell and see it, and believe me this is really weird because we're either going up against an accomplished human weaver which should be understandable seeing as only humans can be weavers, though how a human weaver would have fallen through the cracks to weave for demons or how in the hell a demon could become a weaver, and last I remember it's impossible or rather it's not possible for other races to become demons, not unless the world has changed by a lot since the universes started combining."

Joshua had a point, a very valid one for that matter, but even I wasn't so sure about what to expect. Was it a demon of a human, it was definitely a matter of contention, but in the end we had to break through to find that our for ourselves. The blood disks were still floating about in the air, perhaps it was about this they found more uses as I drew on my Divine energy, imbuing them into the blood disks and then sending them flying towards the tower. The air seemed to sing at their advent as it slammed into a barrier made of glimmering seals, superimposed over each other. It was a unique sight, exquisite and elaborate enough to match my own work if not surpass it by a small margin.

The barrier held, but only for a few minutes before it shattered, releasing a power shockwave that destroyed a portion of the tower and it's surroundings.. perhaps if I had used the traditional method of breaking seals by going into them and dismantling them from the inside it would have been a whole other matter entirely. However, I didn't have that kind of patience, even though it would only have been a second for the people out here, for me it would have taken a while to go in and take care of what I had to. The brute force method worked just fine, I was a god, and unless it was a weave made by another god, there was absolutely no one who would be able to stop me, and now it was time to see what the tower hid. Or that should have been the case it the person within didn't step out, a woman or rather a demon, and she was very much a goddess based on the fluctuations of power I felt from her, there was a man with her too, old, bent over and very much human, and what I suspected was a set of Quadruplets.

"Welcome God King Kael Cor to the third circle of hell. I guess that you came here looking for your companion and for the dark gods that led the ȧssault on your kingdom… you won't find them here, of all the destruction you've caused, your subordinate that came before you did something similar but not to the level where you would have destroyed an entire burrow of demons that had nothing to do with the attack on your people, we're innocent of your prosecution, so please show mercy and carry your rage onwards to those who are guilty. The part we played in hosting a portal to your world was not done by choice, I and my people just want to be left alone, infected or not. We are innocent!" Teluna on the other hand had a different set of words for her.

"What a load of bullshit! No demon is innocent, you too will die like the rest of your infernal people, all of you! Will die!"
