Lady Misfortune: Daddy, I'll Be A Righteous Villainess!

Chapter 106 - No Use Crying Over Spilt Coffee

Lady did not get to see Sarah's reaction clear enough since Glenn was already starting to cause a fuss.

He quickly got back to his feet, stomping angrily as the others helped him up. She glared daggers at him and crossed her arms. He deserves more than that for trying to force an intimate contact, and she will make sure he knows that.

"What gives…?!" Glenn bellowed indignantly before turning to Bryce, Art, and Travis.

"Hey, you all saw that, right?! She pushed me! I wasn't doing anything! You're gonna tell on her, right?!"

"Of course, you were doing something…!" Lady exclaimed, moving to stand in front of Sarah.

"You're getting all touchy-feely with her when she obviously didn't want it!"

"Huh?! The hell are you talking about?!"

"Your arm! That damn ugly arm! It's all over her! Don't tell me you're just trying to make her smell your armpit or something! I'll really break that arm!"

"I don't know what you're on about! Those are extreme accusations! Especially coming from a little piece of shit!"

"Oh, yeah?! Said by the dickhead who accused me of making death threats!"

"I never said they were death threats!"

Everyone was too confounded to even try to cut in while the two were having their outburst. They could only look on for a while until it turned into a full-blown squabble.

The barista, who was watching from the side that whole time, had cowered behind the counter.

He's panicking, unsure of what to do. There's no security guard around, and even if there is, there's so little they can do in this situation. After all, these people are students from that prestigious academy. He's more than certain that their families are of great wealth and power.

'What if they don't listen to me?! What if they call their daddies and mommies on me?! What if they beat me up instead…?!' he screamed internally.

'I can't possibly stop them on my own! Just where is that William when I need him?!'

Things get out of hand when Glenn begins to get physical with Lady.

He suddenly charges forward and grabs her roughly by the collar. Sarah gasps and pales. He falters at her reaction but is too enraged to back out.

"How dare you humiliate me in front of Sarah, you dirty little-"

And then, he froze.

It had only occurred to Glenn that he had gotten too close when he saw a good view of her half-lidded, glinting eyes – which were hooded with utter disgust, coated with unconcealed repugnance. Lady also looked a tad bit too composed despite her fear-provoking position. It was as though she was reciting a curse in her head that would bring about his death at any moment.

"You…" Lady spat out spitefully, causing Glenn to shudder.

"You should've never been born, you ungrateful child."

There was silence on his part for the next seconds to come. Then, as if it was his own mother who had told him that, he started bawling his eyes out all of the sudden. That got the others totally shocked.

Lady managed to break free from his grip as he dropped to his knees. She merely let out a sigh while everybody else gathered around the crying Glenn.

"W-What did you do to him, Lady?!" Travis asked demandingly.

"Hmmm… I'm not sure myself," Lady replied, telling the truth.

"Bullcrap! You definitely did something! Glenn's not a crybaby!"

"Well, now you know he is."

"Uncle will hear about this!"

"Go on and tell him, then."

"You'll be grounded for sure!"

"So? Nothing new there."

Travis frowned, tearing up slightly. He looks so vexed he might take his turn to cry this time. This is exactly why Bryce is the leader of the BRATS. He can't even manage to act tough.

'I wasn't lying when I said I didn't know why this moron's crying, though. It's a bit strange for me as well. I wasn't expecting it at all,' Lady mused, honestly weirded out by how Glenn reacted.

Bryce turned to her and pulled her back to reality – literally. He seized her wrist before tugging it with force, catching her off guard. Lady hissed from the pain of his bruising grip. He didn't even look sorry as he just went on to say in a hard, thick tone, "How many more do you have to hurt before you're satisfied?"

"Hey, let go! That hurts!" she screeched as she tried to yank her hand away but to no avail.

"You have to apologize right now. Glenn is the son of one of our family's business partners. You can't just mess this up for us."

"I already told you! I didn't do anything!"

"Apologize! Now!"

Lady continued to squirm about in protest. Then, with a huff, Bryce let go.

She ended up staggering backward from how sudden that was. Her balance was out of control, her body about to fall. That was until her back hit her table –

Where her laptop, folder, and a whole cup of unfinished coffee are.

"Look out!" she heard Sarah call out loudly, but it was much too late.

The coffee got knocked out, its mildly hot content spilling all over her laptop and folder – and even her skirt. Everyone went still, then. The whole coffee shop was ruled over by silence.

"Are you okay?!" Sarah asked hastily before handing a napkin to Lady.

Luckily, the coffee isn't too hot anymore. But it isn't exactly warm, either.

She still felt the skin on her thigh get burned a little. Yet, she didn't do anything. She was speechless and unmoving. Her eyes were fixed on her other belongings, which were now completely ruined.

The screen of her laptop had gone off on its own, which was not okay – all her files in there are important. The same goes for her folder, which has all her school projects and extracurricular assignments – she had spent endless mornings and sleepless nights just to finish them.

At the thought of her wasted efforts, she feels tears pricking her eyes.

"I-It wasn't my fault..." Bryce stammered, looking pretty shaken just like Glenn and the rest.

"You're the one who kept-"

Before he could say one more word, he suddenly felt a hand clutching his entire jaw tightly. Gasps flew all around the place. Since he couldn't move his head to see who it was, he looked through the corners of his eyes. He was immediately met with a certain someone's menacing glare.

Fallon.

"Still has something to say, huh, cousin…?" he growled, extremely livid.

"I knew it was just a matter of time before you snapped. This is why our grandparents would never look at you the way you wanted them to. You act like an angel in front of them when, in reality, you're just a beast who hurts your own family."

Bryce is scared stiff.

He had never seen Fallon this mad before. He understands that he cares about Lady a whole lot – but this is too much.

He can already feel it. His jaw is about to break. He is crazy strong.

Everyone else is too petrified to stop Fallon. Of course, they are. He is giving off this insane, murderous vibe that is more than enough to make Bryce fear for his life.

"Don't think you can get away with this, cousin. I'll definitely make you regret laying your hand on her – in one way or another…" he hissed at his face, and when he looked at the hand on his jaw, he made a small, sadistic smile.

"Oh, this? This isn't what I'm talking about. I'm only releasing some steam now. So, as a start, maybe a broken mouth will do?"

Bryce couldn't speak. He couldn't even move.

Fallon's dead serious. He would really do it.

"H-Hold on, Fallon…!" Art called out, coming to Bryce's rescue at last.

"W-We… H-He didn't know what h-he's doing-"

"Oh, I think he knew exactly what he's doing…" Weiss suddenly interrupted, emerging from behind Fallon.

"You all did."

His arrival was the last blow for all of them.

Glenn and Orion had shrunk in fear while Travis and Art had gone rigid. Everybody else pales at the sight of the son of the Chairman. They all know that he's just as dangerous as Fallon if not more. It's because he never fails to achieve what he has set on doing.

So, all the words that will come out from his mouth starting from that point on – he means them, and if causing a mass murder right then and there is one of them, he will absolutely make it happen.

Worse, nobody will ever know. Weiss is meticulous just as he is cunning.

"I would greatly appreciate it if you'd stop insulting Lady..." he continued with a kind and gentle smile that everyone was sure was anything but kind and gentle.

"You know nothing about our relationship, and you know nothing about her. Frankly, I'm not sure why you think you have the right to comment at all. You bunch of nosy outsiders."

At that very moment, two storms had swept over the coffee shop – with Fallon bringing a hurricane, and Weiss a blizzard.
