Lady Spring

Chapter 3.4

How strange.

Saeun glanced at Wooyoung secretly several times while they ate dinner across from each other. This was really strange. The things she had done with her old classmate… It would’ve been strange enough if that said man was just an average person, but he was no ordinary man. He was the hottest TV star in Korea.

But sitting across from her eating his rice, Wooyoung didn’t look like a star. For some reason, she expected a famous star to have some kind of halo behind him. Of course, she didn’t mean this literally, but she still thought there would be more. Yet Wooyoung was too ordinary. She didn’t mean that he wasn’t good looking, because he was incredibly attractive, but even his handsome face was ineffective at the moment since it was covered in colorful bruises. Besides, there weren’t any fan girls around him screaming out his name here. And the way he acted towards her was something she would’ve expected from a teenage hooligan.

“It’s so strange.”

She gasped when she realized she said her thoughts out loud. Wooyoung raised his eyebrows.

“What is?”

“I mean… It’s strange how well you cook.”

She was so glad she was quick with her lie. Wooyoung looked down at the table. Shiny white rice, yummy tuna kimchi stew, fried anchovies, and radish kimchi and seaweed from the fridge.

“Anyone can make things like this easily. Could it be that you can’t cook at all?”

Saeun frowned. Of course, she could cook. What she meant was that she was surprised since Wooyoung was a man and a big star. She didn’t think he was required to cook much himself. He would’ve been able to order anything he wanted or even hire a cook.

“Does your idol dorm have a kitchen? Do you often cook for yourself?”

“Oh, the dorm?”

Wooyoung shrugged his shoulder and continued,

“There is a diner in the dorm of course. And yeah, sometimes I cook when I go home.”

“You go home often? As a vacation?”

“Sometimes on the weekends.”

Saeun felt like Wooyoung shared a secret with her. When they were in high school, she had no idea what kind of life he led because she never asked him. All she knew about him was what she gathered from eavesdropping on other kids’ conversations.

“Then you live with your parents? The other members too?”

“Gosh, you’re so nosy. Stop asking me all these questions. Why do you want to know?”

Saeun frowned again. Wooyoung finished his bowl in annoyance and set it down on the table. Saeun finished her meal too and headed towards the kitchen sink with her empty bowl and spoon.  But before she reached the sink, Wooyoung grabbed her and pulled her down to his lap.

“What do you want? I’m gonna wash the dishes.”

“I can do it, so sit down and rest.”

“But you cooked, so I should do the dishes…”

“I told you I will do all the house chores since you’re paying for the food and rent. This is only fair, and besides, how could I make you do chores when you just returned from work?”

He casually took her bowl away and went to the sink. He then quickly cleared the table of the rest of the plates. Saeun, still remembering the feeling of his hard thigh on her butt, remained blushing and looked down. It was a small kitchen, so every time he walked back and forth, his body grazed hers. Unlike Saeun who flinched every time, Wooyoung seemed unaffected. He even hummed as he did the dishes. Through the sound of running water, she could hear his low baritone voice.

Saeun cupped her chin on the table and watched him. Big shoulders, tight shirt, sweatpants that were pulled up to his knees, and his shiny bob.

“Why is your hair like that? Isn’t that a girl’s style?”

She asked without thinking, but it seemed he didn’t hear her because of the running water. Saeun pouted and stared at the back of his head before kicking his calf.

“What?”

Wooyoung frowned and turned around. Saeun pointed at his hair and asked again,”

“Your hair. Why did you choose that style?”

“My hair?”

Wooyoung turned off the water, wiped his hand with a towel, and turned fully around to lean against the sink.

“Does it look weird? But it looks good, right? My hair is really soft. Wanna touch it?”

Well, she already knew from last night that he had silky hair, but for some reason, she felt strange when he offered. Saeun frowned and asked,

“But most men won’t choose that hairstyle. That’s Seo Taeji’s1 hair, isn’t it? It’s such an old-fashioned style.”

“This style isn’t that old. It’s a bit long, but this is my look now, so I can’t even cut it anymore. Every time we came back with a new album, I kept thinking I should change it, but it never happened.”

He grumbled and grinned.

“But I even had an offer to do a shampoo commercial. I didn’t accept it, but it proves that everyone believes I have good hair, right?”

He gave her the V sign, making Saeun smirk. She stood up to go to her room, but before she could take two steps, Wooyoung hugged her from the back. Saeun screamed and turned her head to look at him, but all he did was chuckle while still holding her.

“Are you making fun of my hair? That won’t do, Class Pres, especially since we will be starting our training today.”

Training? What training?

“Let me down! What are you talking about, Min Wooyoung?!”

“I’m obviously talking about this.”

When his hot lip touched her neck, Saeun gasped.

Omg.

She could never get used to this. His hot and sharp…

“Min Wooyoung, you haven’t shaved today, have you?”

“No, because I don’t have a razor. Why? Does it bother you?”

No, it’s just… He kept kissing her neck soundly as he asked. His arms around her waist felt like steel as he carried her too easily.

“You can’t climax so easily like last night again. I’m going to test you tonight to see how long you can hold it.”

Omg. What was he saying? She felt her face become red. Saeun flailed in his arms.

“Let me down! Don’t be like this. I mean… This… is going too fast! We just met yesterday…”

“What are you talking about? We met when we were in the first year of high school, so how could this be going too fast? How long has it been? 10 years?”

“That’s not what I meant…”

Before she could blink, they were already entering her room. When she was changing earlier, she saw her bed neatly made up. She thought he was being tidy, but it seemed that he had it done to prepare for this.

Oh my…

Lying on the bed, Saeun looked up at Wooyoung. He quickly took off his shirt and frowned.

“I think I need to get some new clothes. If I serve you well, you’re going to buy me some tomorrow, right Mistress?”

“I’m not your mistress! I’m going to get up. I need to watch something on TV later and…”

“Are you going to work tomorrow?”

Ignoring her protest, he crawled on top of her. His arms rested on each side of her face like steel columns. Wooyoung looked down at her and Saeun could barely breathe.

“Yeah, why do you ask?”

“But tomorrow is saturday, You’re lying, aren’t you?”

“I just need to finish up something at work…”

“So you don’t really have to go, right?”

Saeun frowned. It was true that she didn’t really have to go. She wasn’t an important figure in her office, so it wouldn’t have made any difference. The only reason she showed up at work on Saturdays was to be noticed by her superiors.

When Saeun sighed deeply, Wooyoung grinned.

“Then we’re gonna do an all nighter.”

An ominous feeling engulfed her as she looked up at him. Wooyoung continued to smile before leaning towards her. The night of heaven and hell was just about to begin.
