Legendary Shadow

Chapter 108 - Elite Four 7

Dragonite started to feel a little light-headed after he got his energy drained while Shadow was brimming with energy and ready for the next round. Lance saw this and was just about to end the battle when Dragonite told him that he could still go on. Even though his dragon aura had gone down by a bit, he was still able to pump out more energy due to his high level.

Shadow had some respect for Dragonite after seeing him not give up. They continued to battle and kept going back-and-forth using physical attacks. Now they were using slam, fly and many more until Dragonite couldn't take it anymore as he passed out and fainted making Liam the winner.

Liam was excited to have finally defeated one of the best dragon type users. Lance also thanked Liam for the great battle and wished them luck. He told him that Gary had beat him 1st and was officially the Champion and Ash came in 2nd but was unable to be Gary. This surprised Liam as he thought Ash had a good lineup and was able to beat Gary last time, but it seems like Gary took the loss to heart and had improved quite a bit in order to get where he was.

The defeat made Ash and Gary tie in their battle record. Liam then went on to the 2nd section of the building to rest his Pokémon as they called it a night and decided to challenge Gary the next day. Lorelei had shown up once again at Liam's room this time after she heard that Liam was moving on but was getting some rest. So, she decided to come and have some fun with him by challenging him in bed.

They did the business until they were tired and decided to call it a night. Liam had fun with this m.a.t.u.r.e woman who liked to take charge as he passed out satisfied. The next day when Liam woke up, he saw that Lorelei was gone. It seemed like she had sneaked out in the middle of the night to go back to her own room.

Liam didn't mind as he went to go grab something to eat and after that, he did some meditation in order to get ready for the match ahead. He decided that he would use his weakest Pokémon 1st for them to also get experience. Eevee and Kangaskhan did not have so many battle experience like the others so he wanted to get them more involved and honestly, he didn't take Gary too seriously because he knew that Shadow could take on his whole team.

After setting up an appointment for the match a few hours later, Liam could be seen making his way towards the champion stage for the last battle of the Pokémon Elite 4 League. When the doors opened, Liam made his way inside. Gary laughed as he said, "Finally you have arrived. The person that I've been waiting for the longest time. After having my revenge from Ash, the next person I wanted to defeat the most was you."

Liam could only shake his head as he said, "Bring it on." The battle went underway as the referee announced the start of the battle. Gary brought out his 1st Pokémon, which was Pidgeot right off the bat while Liam decided to bring out Kangaskhan who was several levels lower than Pidgeot. And so, the battle started. Pidgeot used agility and quick attack. With that one simple attack, Kangaskhan was knocked off the stage.

Liam returned Kanagaskhan, and thanked him for trying. Next, Liam sent Eevee who was able to survive even longer than Kangaskhan but still fell short due to the level difference once again. However, Eevee was able to pitch out one attack. Pidgeot once again used quick attack and knocked Eevee out. The next Pokémon that Liam decided to use was Tyranitar. He was still angry about the last match that he had lost and had taken his frustration out on Pidgeot.

Due to being blinded by rage, Tyranitar was easily defeated due to Pidgeot outsmarting him. Tyranitar didn't even get the chance to use his Devil form before he fainted. Liam shook his head as he thought that Tyranitar needed more training and decided that he will take him up to the mountains one of these days to do just that. Gary was getting a little annoyed because Liam sent out his weakest Pokémon against him and he didn't want that.

Gary wanted to challenge the strongest so when Liam finally sent out Dragonite, Gary got excited and said, "Finally a challenge." Liam could only laugh as he ordered Dragonite to fly up in the air to match Pidgeot's speed by using agility. Pidgeot was still faster. As they kept going back-and-forth with their attacks, at one point they made a head-on collision.

Just when Pidgeot was about to pull away, he was grabbed by Dragonite as he unleashed a powerful thunderbolt on Pidgeot causing him to faint right away due to the sheer power that came from the attack. Dragonite had learned a lot in his last battle and was always planning ahead due to his crafty nature. Gary was now starting to get excited as Dragonite was able to defeat Pidgeot so easily.

Gary sent out his next Pokémon, Alakazam who used a calm mind right after he came out to boost his psychic abilities. Alakazam was several levels lower than Pidgeot. And so, the battle started.
