Legendary Shadow

The next day, Liam left Violet town and headed for Azalea town. He went through Union cave as he battled a couple of trainers and continued to level up. Liam asked Shadow if he could go train in the shadow realm for a little bit with Giratina and to show him if he had any skill sets that were able to change his size. Shadow was becoming too big and Liam needed him to be able to change his size freely whenever he felt like, so Shadow left for the shadow realm while Liam traveled with the others while doing some training here and there to get the others caught up. Riolu didn't like being in his poke ball at all so he was always walking beside Liam which he didn't mind. 

Riolu was cute as a little puppy and loved to fight. He was always training harder than the rest. He and Omanyte had become quite rivals as they were always battling each other out. Even though Riolu was still a toddler, he had spunk and never gave up. He was the lowest level out of Liam's team but the way he was leveling up was quite scary. He was close to Kabuto's level within a week of training between the forest and the Union cave. It seemed like a long arduous journey and Liam couldn't wait to get a nice warm bed and a shower. 

When they were finally close to Azalea town, they met with some Team Rocket grunts who were picking on an old man. Liam thought he had gotten rid of them all, but it seemed like Liam had only gotten rid of their leaders and they had no clue that their leaders had been erased from this world. Liam quickly defeated them with Kangaskhan who was also training hard. Liam had finally arrived at Azalea town. 

He met up with a guy called Kurt who was in a rush to go to the Slowpoke well due to hearing about some Team Rocket members poaching Slowpoke's and selling them, so Liam decided to rush off and help the old man. When he got there the old man had fallen in the well and had strained his back, so Liam continued his mission for him to get rid of the Team Rocket members. He finally met up with one of the leaders of Team Rocket who had not been part of the mission with Giovanni. Liam told him that Giovanni was no more, but the guy didn't believe him and kept trying to fight Liam to the death. Liam had no choice, so he quickly defeated all the Team Rocket members there. Liam wanted to kill them, but they were able to escape. 

He didn't worry too much about it as he went to go help the old man out. After the old man found out what Liam had done, he thanked him and rewarded him with some special poke balls and told him that if he was able to acquire special acorns throughout his journey, he will be able to make poke balls out of them. Liam thanked him for his hospitality and then moved on to go get some rest because after that long journey he definitely needed it as he went to go relax at the Pokémon Center. 

The next day he found out that there was a gym in that town, so he went to go check it out. It seemed like it was a bug type gym, so he decided to challenge it. When he got to the gym, it was quite confusing with all the puzzles that challenged Liam. He made short work of them with Charizard burning his way through them. When he finally got to the gym leader, they introduced themselves. The gym leader was called Bugsy. The announcer announced the start of the battle, Bugsy the Bugger versus Liam the Kanto Champion. 

When Bugsy heard that Liam was the champion of Kanto, he was a little intimidated because he had never faced a champion before, but he didn't think that Kanto trainers were all that strong, so he brushed it off. As they started the battle, it was announced that it was going to be a 2 on 2 battles. Bugsy summoned a Beedrill and Butterfree Liam summoned Omanyte and Kabuto for this battle. 

Liam immediately had them both use ice beam, but the bugs dodged the attack. Liam then ordered Omanyte and Kabuto to combine their ice beams together. As they put their ice beams together, the attack grew in size and froze quite a bit of the gym and it had gotten cold quick. Beedrill and Butterfree started to slow down quite a bit and were hit by the attack as they fainted turning into an ice block. Bugsy was impressed with the quick thinking and the combination as he got ready to summon his next Pokémon which was his bonus and strongest Pokemon.
