Legendary Shadow

Eusine was excited to see Gina as he started talking about himself, and how he was going to catch the legendary Pokémon and show it to the world. The guy was extremely flashy, and Liam thought that he looked like a clown talking with his hands, it seemed funny to him. 

It was after a few minutes that Eusine finally realized there were others with Gina. He apologized and introduced himself causing Whitney and Liam to roll their eyes as they thought, "What an idiot." 

After his introduction, Liam and Whitney also introduced themselves. When Liam introduced himself, Eusine got excited as he said, "Since you're a Pokémon trainer, I would like to have a practice battle with you in order to warm my Pokémon's up for this battle with these Legendries." 

Whitney and Gina got excited at this, but Liam was not so happy as he wanted to just relax. But then he thought about it, and said, "Okay. You could be good practice before I go and face off against the gym leader Morty." Eugene got excited and he said, "Morty is just a little kid. He can't even count as an appetizer if you're as good as you say you are." Liam shrugged and said, "We'll see." 

After they ate, they went out to find a battle arena in order to start the battle. Eugene said, "I have high-level Pokémon, so it would not be good to battle in a place where we could damage the place." Liam was a little shocked at this as he thought how strong his Pokémons. 

Hopefully, he'll be able to handle him. Whitney decided to be the referee for this match as they had found a small stage nearby. Whitney announced the start of the battle as Eugene sent out a Drowzee. 

Liam used his Pokedex to check the level of the Pokémon and was shocked to see that it was a level 200 Drowzee. He was shocked as he asked, "How do you have such a strong Drowzee and have not even evolved it?" Eugene laughed at this and said, "Because I love my Drowzee. It's the better half of me and I don't want it to evolve into that ugly Hypno." 

Liam could only shake his head as he felt sorry for Drowzee. Liam decided to bring out Dragonite as he thought dragons are pretty good against psychic Pokémon. He wanted to just poke at the hornet's nest, but in a few seconds, after the battle had started, Dragonite had already passed out. 

Liam had his mouth wide open while Whitney and Gina were also shocked. Eugene was just laughing while thinking, "Yes worship me, praise me. I am the best of the best." Liam shook his head as he regained his focus. He was wondering if he should send out Shadow, but he knows that Eugene would immediately recognize Shadow as a legendary Pokémon. 

He quickly communicated with Shadow asking him if he finished his training. Shadow said yes as Liam told him to shrink to about Ivysaur's size which Shadow did while coming out of the Shadows. When Eugene saw Shadow his eyes immediately shined. He asked Liam, "Isn't that the magnificent legendary guardian of the sea Lugia?" 

Liam shook his head and said, "No. Well maybe yes, but it's sort of complicated." Eugene was about to get close, Whitney said, "If you get on the stage right now, you lose." This caused Eugene to stop and remember that they were in the middle of a battle. He apologized as he ordered out his first attack. 

Drowzee used a psychic attack and that's when Shadow was lifted out of the ground and into the air. As he was thrown up and down, the pain that Shadow was feeling was just a tad bit from all the beatings that he got from Giratina. This was nothing but he still felt pain as this Pokémon was leveled higher than him. 

Drowzee finally dropped Shadow and released him. Shadow struggled to get back up. Liam asked him if he was good to go causing Shadow to say, [Yes. I'll try again.] 

Shadow immediately used Shadow Movement and went underground. Eugene was so surprised by this that he blurted, "Lugia's aren't supposed to go through the ground. Is this guy a ghost-type? I am very intrigued now." Liam ignored him and he told Shadow to use Shadow Ball from right under Drowzee. 

This was quite an effective move as Drowzee felt pain for the first time in a while from an attack from a lower level Pokémon. Drowzee got mad and he quickly grabbed ahold of Shadow, but Shadow used Shadow Movement and slipped through his grasp. He then launched another Shadow Ball at him and then a Hydro Pump blasting him away while infusing a Thunderbolt into it causing paralyzation. 

Eugene was very shocked by this as he knew the original Lugia and the moves that this new guy was displaying were completely different and very random. Eugene started to get excited as he thought, "Man I wish I could just steal this Pokémon from him, but I have to set a good example for the future leaders." 

He asked Drowzee to stop playing around and hurry up and defeat this guy. Drowzee charged up, as his psychic aura started to flare up. Shadow also started to boost his powers of purification, the new power that he had obtained from the Bellsprout tower. As his whole body started to turn a darker shade of green, Eugene was once again surprised that this Lugia was surprising him over and over again, but he still had Suicune on his mind as he would want him over what he would call a flying chicken. 

When Liam heard that, he almost tripped as he started laughing. Shadow had heard all of this and had gotten pretty mad for being called a chicken. He quickly used Fireblast while Drowzee made a barrier to block the fire that was coming at him. Shadow disappeared from the front as he appeared in the back and shot out at powerful Hydro Pump, which Drowzee easily lifted his other arm to set up a barrier behind him. 

This shocked Liam and Shadow as they thought, "Can this guy see behind his back?" But then Liam remembered that he was a psychic Pokémon and he could sense where the other Pokémons were using his psychic powers. 

Shadow's eyes started to glow as he summoned one of his most powerful moves, Sheer Cold. It turned the whole stage into an ice palace. Drowzee tried to use a barrier to block the attack but due to the power, he failed. He was taking it easy thinking that it was going to be another weak move. 

Eusine tried to warn Drowzee, but he didn't pay attention as the ice had broken through his barriers and struck him hard. Drowzee was frozen in the ice palace and HP was low. He was feeling like he was about to pass out. He used what little strength he had to blast himself out of the ice-making huge chunks of ice blocks fly towards everyone present.

Liam had summoned Mewtwo to catch the blocks that were going to hit the ladies and quickly summoned him back into the Pokeball before Eugene could notice. The ladies started complaining to Eugene that they could have been killed if Liam hadn't saved them. 

Eugene apologized once again. As Drowzee came out of the ice, he was breathing heavily as he thought, "How can I be losing?" Just when he was about to stand on his feet, he saw that his body was getting frozen over again and thought, "What is going on? Isn't that attack done?" 

Shadow was struggling to keep up the ice attack as he was using the second phase of it just in case the first one didn't work. Articuno had trained him on it and he continued practicing, but he could never get it right. This time, he tried it once again and was slightly getting it. Due to the heat of the battle, he figured he could learn it better that way. 

Drowzee started freezing over as he had fainted right after that making Liam the winner. Eusine was very surprised by this as he sighed and said, "Oh! You are very strong. I reckon having a legendary Pokémon must be good." Liam Shrugged and said, "If you think that's a legendary Pokémon then that's fine, but have you ever seen a legendary Pokémon that small before?" 

Eugene shook his head as he said, "Maybe you're right, but I know a Lugia when I see one." 

They all said their goodbyes and left the field. After the battle, Shadow went back into its shadow realm to rest after that tiring battle. 

He had leveled up quite a bit after defeating someone that was 70 levels above him. Liam thanked Shadow for the good battle and told him to rest well and train hard. After that, Shadow said he would not be available for at least a week this time. Liam said fine and let Shadow go.
