Legendary Shadow

Chapter 131 - Sweating Bullets

Liam finally arrived at Olivine City. As soon as he got there, he saw a Silver, Giovanni's son stomping off angry. When Silver saw Liam, he frowned even harder and he said, "The gym leader is not accepting any challenges at this time because of a dumb stupid useless Pokémon." Liam frowned and said, "Pokémon are not dumb. If they are so dumb, then just stop being a Pokémon trainer and go work somewhere else."

Silver was surprised that Liam was using such harsh words on him but ignored it as he said, "I need to take my frustration out on somebody and you're the perfect person to do that to." Liam shook his head as he said, "I'm tired of you disrespecting me. You have no clue who you're messing with so let me just put you out of your misery once and for all."

Liam summoned Mewtwo. This surprised Silver and he said, "That looks like one of my father's projects. How did you get your hands on him?" Liam shook his head as he said, "Are you going to come or not?" Silver was smart enough to realize how strong this Mewtwo was and quickly backed off as he said, "I'll get you next time. Wait till I get stronger" and quickly ran off.

Liam ignored the guy as he returned Mewtwo and went to go check in at the Pokémon Center. He had to get the newly born Latios checked up, so he left Latios at the Pokémon Center and headed to where the gym leader was. Since he knew about the sick Pokémon, he was going to go get information about the medicine needed and head out.

Liam headed to the lighthouse where Jasmine was located. He had to go through a couple of people in order to get there. He used that opportunity to battle and train. He went through them and got to the top of the lighthouse, finally arriving in front of Jasmine. She introduced herself and Liam returned the courtesy.

Liam told her that he was here for the badge and that he knows that the Pokémon is sick. He asked if there was anything he could do to help causing Jasmine to take another look at the young man. She said, "Oh how sweet. I do actually need your help. I can't leave this Pokémon all alone, so I need somebody to go over to Cianwood City to collect this Pokémon's medicine."

Liam simply nodded and took the instructions and headed out.

He went to go pick up Latios and relaxed at the Pokémon Center lounge for the night. The next day, Liam did a little bit of training and meditation. He even taught Latios how to do meditation which Latios couldn't do because he just couldn't sit still as he was flying around.

Liam let him do whatever he wanted since he was just a child, and that was the best time for them to relax and not worry about anything like training and battling. After training, they went to grab something to eat before heading to the port as Liam summoned Dragonite to fly him over the sea.

They quickly sped up flying above the seawater, while on the way battling trainers here and there as Liam wanted Latios to see what he was going to be doing once he got strong enough. But, Latios seemed like he wasn't interested as he continued to play around the whole time.

Liam thought that this Pokémon was certainly different from all his others as they all wanted to get stronger, but Latios seemed like he just wanted to play all day. Luckily for Liam, he had gathered some MooMoo milk, so he was able to feed Latios some of that as he was getting strong with all the vitamins that were in it.

On his way to Cianwood City, he was passing by a certain Island and heard a large roar that shook the whole sea. Shadow finally came out of the Shadow Realm as he felt the presence of a strong being around Liam. Liam remembered that Lugia was located within those islands and had gotten scared because he didn't want them to start a fight over here, especially against Lugia who would probably be over level 400.

He definitely was not ready to take him on, so he told Shadow to return to his poke ball. That way, Lugia could not sense his presence, which Shadow did. causing the sea to calm down. Liam told Dragonite to pick up the speed as they quickly left the area. Liam was sweating bullets after what had just happened, but he was glad to be out of there with no issues as he did not want to lose his life so soon.

After traveling for a while, he finally arrived at Cianwood City. He checked Shadow in to get a checkup. After he toured around the island, he finally remembered that there was a gym located there so he was going to go check it out. The next day Liam finally met up with the guy that was providing the medicine and had successfully obtained the medicine. He was going to leave the island after having a gym battle and getting his next badge.
