[SMF hasn't given an answer yet.]

The website page's bold title indicated what the article was about.

[Three days have passed since the shocking incident that happened in our country's capital. The monster break out that caused great damage to the city and took away the lives of our citizens left the people of the world shocked. The situation was taken care of by the quick and calculated action of Special Military Forces and various hunter guilds.]

The page was filled with pictures of monsters roaming around in the city.

[Still, after three days have passed from the incident, SMF hasn't found the reason behind it. The people of Celinden are greatly worried about their safety. Not only Celinden but also the people of other cities and countries are worried about themselves and their families. They are demanding answers from the creators of Celinden's protection system. The creators insist that there were no flaws in the system and it has been working properly the whole time, which makes people even more confused. Meanwhile, SMF still hasn't given an answer to the people's questions. There was a statement from Special Military Forces saying that they would find and solve the problem as soon as possible, yet, there is no further news from them after 3 days passes from the incident. People are greatly dissatisfied with the situation-]

Elsie closed the website and threw her phone aside.

"What do they expect from us? How do they think we could find and solve the problem in mere three- no، rather two days? Go investigate yourselves if you think you can do better!"

"Have you finished doing what I told you?"

She flinched upon hearing that voice and jerked her head towards the person who talked to her.

"N-not completely, sir. I'll finish it right away."

Elsie hurriedly picked up her pen and started scribing something on the paper.

"I'd be glad if you all could finish your jobs before searching for news and slacking off. We don't have much time so we all have to work hard for a while."

"...."

Elsie bit her lower lip and increased her writing speed.

Almost everybody else in the hall got chills after hearing the team leader's cold and serious voice.

Team leader Dains looked at them for a moment with a frowning face, then left the hall, entering his own office.

After making sure that he was gone, Elsie lowered her pen and peeked around before hesitantly opening her mouth.

"Is it just me or do you guys also think that the team leader is a little mad? He doesn't seem to be in a good mood."

Rai glanced at the closed door of the team leader's office and answered Elsie.

"Well, what he said was right. We don't have time to slack off and have to work hard for a few days or maybe weeks. But I wouldn't be so surprised if he really isn't in a good mood. He must be under too much pressure."

"Right. I guess he hasn't even gotten the chance to go home in the last two or 3 days. Ah, I suddenly felt guilty."

"We've been working for a few days already but we weren't able to trace that man. I too am frustrated."

"Sigh."

Elsie sighed and lowered her head, continuing to write what she was supposed to write.

It didn't take too long for her to finish writing it. After she was done, she stood up for her seat and walked to the team leader's office

knock knock

She knocked on the door of the office and waited for the team leader's permission to enter the room.

But he didn't answer.

Knock knock knock

She knocked again and waited.

Again, there were no answers.

"What is wrong?"

She turned towards Rai and pointed at the door.

"Hmm... I don't know, He isn't answering. Did he leave his room?"

"Nope. I didn't see him leaving."

Elsie knocked a few more times and waited for an answer, but she gave up and came back to her seat after a few moments of waiting.

"Maybe he is too busy with work."

"Yeah. Probably."

Elsie looked around and thought for a while.

"But there is nothing for me to do now. I had to show this to the team leader to get to know what I am supposed to do later. Sigh."

After sitting and doing nothing for a while she picked up her phone again and started to read anything that sounded interesting.

Everyone else was busy working.

Tap Tap Tap

After hearing the hasty footsteps coming her way, Elsie raises her head only to see the team leader walking out of the elevator.

'Oops!'

She hurried to hide her cell phone under the table and pick it up her pen.

However, team leader Dains didn't even look at her and instead talked in an urgent and loud voice.

"Everyone, we've got a mission. Prepare yourselves in half an hour. This is urgent. We have to leave immediately."

"What is it, sir?"

"Where are we going?"

"We've located the whereabouts of that man. We are attacking that place immediately before we are found out."

The unit members were all shocked. The hall buzzed with sounds of the chairs being pushed and people's talk.

"We found out his whereabouts? How?"

"Where is it?"

The team leader waved his hand and hurried to his office.

"I'll explain later. Hurry up. Thea, call unit 6's team leader- ah no rather, call their deputy team leader. Tell them to send a group to help us."

"Yes, sir."

Everyone abandoned what they were busy with and quickly started to prepare.

'Wait, he came out of the elevator? When did he leave his office and go out...?'

Elsie looked around with a confused face, but no one seemed to pay any attention to the team leader's weird actions.

'Oh, anyway.'

She pushed all of the annoying thoughts off of her mind and began preparing like others.

. . . . . . .

Once Kairen opened his eyes after the teleportation was done, he found himself in the middle of dry land.

He could see mountains in the distance. The mountains were also dry. The weather was hot and Kairen couldn't see any plants anywhere in this land.

The place looked oddly familiar.

'Isn't it somewhere near the first ruin that we visited? It looks like that place.'

Everyone else was also confused. They all looked around with puzzled faces asking themselves what the hell were they doing in such a place.

"You said we've got a mission, but where is this place?"

Finally, the deputy team leader asked the question that was on everyone's minds. Team leader Dains fixed his uniform and turned towards the others.

"Probably, the hideout where the culprit behind the incident is residing is near this place."

"What?"

"The hideout?"

The deputy team leader stepped forward.

"How did you find this place? How all of a sudden? Probably? Are you not even sure?"

Team leader Dains sighed and massaged his forehead.

"Not that I'm not sure, but I can't tell I'm 100 percent certain either. The one whom I got the intel from isn't someone I can trust yet, but he had proofs for his words that I can't deny."

"The person? Who is that?"

"....You'll find out when you see him."

"Huh?"

While they were busy talking, a bright light shine right beside them. The next moment the light disappeared and instead, a group of people was standing there.

"You are here."

Team leader Dains walked towards the group of people who just teleported. They were the group that was sent from unit 6 to help them.

"You reacted almost immediately to my request."

He mumbled those words as if he was really surprised.

"Haha!"

The man, who was wearing a uniform slightly different from the others, smiled awkwardly and stepped forward.

"We aren't really as bad as the rumors say. The rumors are just too unkind."

"Of course. I know the new deputy team leader would make things better in unit 6."

The deputy team leader smiled politely at those words.

"....."

And then lowered his head, ignoring the piercing gaze on him.

"...."

The deputy team leader of unit 6 peeked at the one who was staring at him for a moment. The words in that boy's head were written all over his face.

'What the fuck are you doing here you shitty idiot do you really want me to beat you up I swear I will not save you any more time when your wife wants to kill you didn't you get discharged just a few hours ago what the fuck do you think you are doing here how are you going to fight are you out of your mind no you don't even have a brain to think you are just crazy fool what the fuck is with that uniform when the hell did you even become the deputy team leader you just told me you were getting promoted was that it that you were becoming the deputy team leader are you not ashamed of yourself for not telling me I hate you so much I want to punch you in the face so hard.'

"...."

The deputy team leader of unit 6 gulped. His little brother was scary. Really scary.

He didn't dare look at his eyes anymore.

'Don't look at me like that Kairen! I have to come when it's an emergency like this because I'm the deputy team leader!'

He decided to ignore the furious boy and looked back at team leader Dains.

"Can you explain the situation please?"
