Love is a Sweet Poison

Amelia stepped back slightly and held out her hand, "There is not anything that I need, but a walk with you would be nice. Is there anything else that you need to grab?" 

Gabriel took her hand and started to lead her away from the paint shop. "All I need is time with you alone at least for a short period of time." He takes her away and they walk around looking at all the street vendors. He watches as her eyes light up at all the shops and it eases the turbulence in his heart. "I am glad that I got to bring you here."

Amelia looked around at each of the stalls and could hear the vendor's yelling. She looked from the different food vendors to the hair accessory store. Each vendor had unique food. Dongo, takoyaki*, sushi, tempura, kabayaki*, soba*, grilled fish, taiyaki*, and so much more. There were a lot of the vendors trying to sell to the people passing by. Amelia stopped by a vendor that had a takoyaki that was grilling. "It smells wonderful." 

"Well thank you dear young lady." The shop vendor smiled and effortlessly flipped the takoyaki around. "I will have some ready in a moment if that is what you would like?" 

Gabriel looked at Amelia's expression and took her hand in his. "We will get seven portions. I will bring some back to the carriage to my workers as a thank you for all their hard work." 

"You are a kind young master. Thank you for your patronage." The man pulls out the takoyaki and places it on the newspaper squares that he had cut before hand. He added takoyaki sauce, bonito flakes*, and seaweed flakes. "For the fair lady," he holds out the paper to Amelia.

Amelia took the takoyaki then wafted the scent to her nose and she smiled sweetly. "Thank you, this smells amazing." She picked up the small stick and stabbed it into the ball before biting into the first one and the flavours hot her tongue and her cheeks heated up as a pleased sound left her throat. "This is absolutely amazing. I didn't mean to make that embarrassing sound." The light crimson turned darker before she ate the last bite of the first takoyaki.

"I want to thank my workers as they work hard for my family and there is nothing nicer than offering a small gift as a way to show your appreciation for their hard work." Gabriel lifted up his hand and placed it upon her cheek while smiling. "There is nothing wrong with a satisfied sound after eating something that is delicious." He smiled at her then turned back to the vendor to take the rest of the takoyaki. "Thank you and we will be back another time." He had placed the payment on the counter and carried the takoyaki while he had smiled at Amelia.

Blushing Amelia followed next to Gabriel. "Thank you for following my desires. You could've gotten something else if you deemed it better instead of getting me what I wanted."

Amelia stopped and gently poked the next takoyaki and held it out to Gabriel. She held her hand under the takoyaki in case that it fell. 

Gabriel took the whole thing in his mouth and chewed it happily. 'I don't mind having a lovely girl to feed me anything so long as it is Amelia and no one else.' He chewed and then smiled at her before opening his mouth, "that was delightful. I could get used to you feeding me food all the time and I would never grow tired of it."

Amelia looked at the stick and her face burned. 'An indirect kiss. What was I thinking? No, wait, this is not our first kiss but here I am all embarrassed.' She looked at Gabriel. "It might take me some time to get used to being able to feed you but I will do it when we are alone from time to time." She took a bite of the next one as they approached the carriage. 

"I appreciate that you will at least try. I promise that I will not bite you my sweet darling…" Gabriel freezes and looks at her blushing face, "I hope you do not mind my doting nickname for you."

"It is perfect and we are going to wed soon so there are no issues with how you decide to call me but as of now I am so embarrassed to call you by an endearing name." Amelia nodded at Kosuke.

"Welcome back, Young Master and young Mistress. Please let me take the packages you are carrying." Kosuke holds out his hands to take the packages from Gabriel.

Gabriel handed one over and then placed the rest on the seat inside the carriage. "That is for you to eat my good friend. We need to stop back at the hospital before heading home. I need to check on Subaru and Kazuki." 

"You are always the most gracious, Gabriel. I will eat this while I wait at the hospital." He watched as Gabriel helped Amelia in and then got in himself before he closed the door and got up top. He started to lead the carriage to its next destination. 

"Welcome back, both children are sleeping peacefully at this time." Miyuki smiled as the two settled in and eyed the packages and she could smell the takoyaki that they brought back. 

"I am glad that the children did not cause you any problems. Then again they had a rather eventful day." Gabriel shifted the packages and then held one out to Miyuki. "This is for you and thank you for all your hard work today." 

"Thank you, Young Master. I was not expecting this but I am most grateful for it. The children of course were on their best behaviour and I really enjoyed their company." Miyuki took the takoyaki. "Itadakimasu." She took her first bite and let out the same sound that Amelia did when she took a bite. "This is divine."
