Gabriel shook his head and went to the bedroom. He opened the door and smiled at Amelia as she was hard at work. He walked to her side and looked at the flowers that She had added. "It is no wonder that you go the one that you made for me done so fast. Mother, decided to hand a few of my paintings of you up. I didn't want it to come as a surprise when you get up and walk around."

"How embarrassing." Amelia stops the flower that she was doing and covers her face with her hands. "Thank you for warning me."

"You looked stunning in every painting I did of you. You have nothing to be embarrassed over. I loved how you looked in each one. If you are worried that you won't like them then I will work on replacing them with a better painting." Gabriel came to her side and sat down next to her and placed the book on the table.

"Is that the herb book? I saw that in the store, but I was not allowed inside. Will you really allow me to read it?" Amelia looks up happily at him while smiling wide.

"Of course, I know that you have been in the library. Any and all of my books are yours to look at. I know that the library has some interesting books as well. I will take some out just so you can read them too." Gabriel patted her on the leg smiling.

"I am so happy. There is a few books that I would like to read, but I guess leisure reading will be put on hold as I skip grades." Amelia thought for a moment before shrugging.

Gabriel watched as she was smiling. "I am at your disposal. If you have any issues with the class work you can come to me. I know all the second year work and the first year work. When you hit the third year I will walk you through all that I can. I guess this will mean that we will be battling for first place?"

Amelia bursts into giggles, "battling? I think that we will tie up. My scores match yours. I think that I got most of the first year work done. I have started on the second year assignments. There is just the female electives that will be difficult."

"That will be a lot of assignments, but I believe that you will be able to get it done in a timely matter." Gabriel was looking into her eyes and then there was a knock at the door.

Miyuki stepped in with the tea and wagashi, "I hope that I am not interrupting something important?" She looks between the two and hesitantly step in caring the wagashi to the table.

"You aren't. We are just planning on how to get Amelia up to my grade so that at school I will be beside her." Gabriel smiled happily.

"Thank you for bringing this. I really needed something to drink and a snack to go with tea is pleasant." Amelia smiled at Miyuki, "If I need help I will let you know. For now this is something that I will have to work on my own."

"Of course, I totally understand. I am not book smart but with the needlepoint or anything that is along those lines." Miyuki bowed before leaving the room.

"She is a great person. I am glad that she is your helper." Gabriel touched Amelia's cheek. "Show me what you have for the second year work, and we can start going through that this week. I want you to catch up to my level preferably by the end of this month." Gabriel drinks some tea.

"I really like Miyuki. I am glad that she is my friend and helper. I have a few things that I have questions about, but I am already three quarters of the way done." Amelia looks at the wagashi and smiled. She pulled the plate near herself, "itadakimasu." She took a bite of the wagashi.

Gabriel watched as her facial expression as she went from delight to a frown. "What is wrong with the wagashi?"

"Oh, there is nothing wrong with the wagashi. I was just thinking about how I did not want to go to school tomorrow. That jerk is going to be there, and I do not want to deal with him and his kind." Amelia took another bite of the wagashi.

"If it helps I will do a public display of my affection for you. Which was something that I wanted to ask you about before I did it." Gabriel picked up a stick and looked at the wagashi, "itadakimasu." He bit into the piece and smiled "you are right this is tasty."

"Sachi has been practising so that she could be ready for her future husband. She is getting the hand of things and I trust that she will be prefect. Hideo is still worried that she does not want to find love." Amelia shook her head. "I don't think that it is that she doesn't want to find love but the fact that she is in love with me that she can't see a good person willing to love her for the rest of their lives."

"She is hopelessly in love with you and I can understand why. Think about it this way, you have had a lot of close calls with death. You may not live past eighteen years of age, but she knew that and still wanted to protect you. She is trying her best to keep you in her heart. She can't think about being happy while you are suffering." Gabriel took another bite of the wagashi.

Amelia looks shocked at him and seriously thought about it. "Now that you put it like that it make perfect sense to me. I didn't think of it like that. Thank you dear. I think I understand better."

Gabriel lifted Amelia up and brought her to the bedding. "I can see it in your eyes that you are fighting sleep. Rest while you can. I will go through your assignments and leave out the ones that are incomplete and then help you with it when you wake up.

"Gochisousama. Okay, I will rest now. The assignments are in the corner by the table." Amelia says this and gets comfortable and falls asleep quickly.

"You shouldn't fight your sleep." Gabriel chuckles and pulls out all the paperwork and gets to sorting it. 'She sure has a lot that she got done. I am proud of her.' he found only a free that was incomplete. He placed them on the table shaking his head. 'The questions that she is not getting are a lot of the trick questions. This is something that I can explain as there was not very many of us that understood these questions. I even struggled with them. I will explain it in as much detail as I can.' Gabriel finished off the wagashi and tea. "Gochisousama." Before going to her side and laying down with her passing out quickly.

Neither of them woke up until early morning. Amelia stirred and looked at Gabriel. "Morning? I feel like I slept for hours. When did you come to bed?" She snuggled her face into his chest.

"After I sorted everything for you. I was so tired that after I pulled you into my arms I passed out. That is okay though. I think that both of us needed the sleep. If is still early. I think that only my Father and Kazuki will be awake this early. Oh, yeah, and Kuma." Gabriel kisses the top of her head.

Amelia looks up at him and kisses his cheek. "That is okay and thank you for sorting the papers for me. I will be able to hand it all in today." Amelia stayed in his arms not moving out of his embrace.

Inari poked his little head in the door and looked at Gabriel and waved excitedly.

"Good morning Inari, It is a blessing to see you again. I remember you from when I was little." Gabriel gave him a little wave back.

Amelia slowly turned her body around and waved Inari into the room. You are free to enter Inari. I am glad to see that you are doing well."

Inari jumped up and down and ran to Amelia's side. "I am so glad that you woke up. I thought that something bad had happened even thought Mother said that you would be okay."

"I am recovering nicely Inari, thank you for your concern. Was there too many in the field earlier?" Amelia thought for a moment, "maybe that was why Inari didn't come out to play?"
