Love is a Sweet Poison

"Good Afternoon, Amelia. Are you here for your afternoon dose of vitamins?" Amaritsu-sensei turned and smiled at her. 

Amelia walked up and looked around the room before giving Yoko a hug. "Aunt Yoko I am feeling a little better and there was a delay in my blackout side. I am here to tackle my vitamins though." 

Amaritsu-sensei hugged Amelia back and started to cry a little bit. "That is wonderful. I always wished and prayed that you would improve. I also heard that you accepted a partner. Congratulations, Amelia!"

There was a knock at the door and Gabriel came in. He walked up to Amelia and hugged her from behind. "We are all going to be having lunch in the student council room. Hello, Amaritsu-sensei." 

Amelia relaxed in his embrace while smiling. "Gabriel meet Aunt Yoko, Aunt Yoko meet Gabriel, my destined partner. We have set the wedding for a month from now and I wanted to invite you to the wedding." She took the package from Amaritsu-sensei and took the contents. 

"I will come. You should know that I have been waiting for this day. I was never blessed with children but that was never an issue as I was able to live through Irene. She had you, you are like the daughter I never had. Go on and go to lunch." She shooed them away to go and eat.

Gabriel wrapped his arm around her waist and walked her to the student council room and held the door open for her to walk through. Inside the room was her friends and Gabriel's friend Nathaniel. "Good afternoon everyone. This is our first combined lunch with many more to come. It is usually pretty peaceful unless there is a school event going on. You three ladies are welcome to eat here with us should you choose to." 

Nathaniel had served some tea to the girls. "Welcome to the student council room where anything and everything can go wrong." When he says that he starts laughing.

Amelia sits next to Gabriel and places the lunch in front of her. "Thank you for grabbing the satchel for me, Ami and Sachi." She opens the top and looks inside. 

"It is not a big deal. You need that to advance, and we will not allow anyone to steal your hard work beside that creep was lurking at the door. Probably waiting to bombard you." Sachi shook her head. 

Nathaniel looked at the girls then to Gabriel a little confused. "Is that why you wanted to get to the room early?" 

"Yes, there is a pest flying around my beautiful bride to be. Amelia, Sachi, and Ami if he starts to be an issue please let me know, and I will come and take care of the issue. If for some reason I am not available please get Nathaniel. I do not want you ladies to get injured. Although I do want to know how the snake prank panned out."

Sachi shakes her head smiling, "I must say that it was hilarious, and he will not be leaving his lunch bag unattended anytime soon."

"Wonderful. You girls are evil but from what I have heard the bastard deserves it." Nathaniel laughs along with them. "Since this is our first official meeting let me say that it is nice to meet you girls and I hope that you have more stories that are as good as this one for me."

"If Ami has her way there will be more but for the most part we try to not cause too many issues for the teachers or at least Sachi and I try not too. Ami is the troublemaker." Amelia giggles and leans on Gabriel. 

Sachi picks up an egg roll and feds it to Amelia, "I know that these are your favourite." She smiles as Amelia eats the egg roll then starts to pick and try and few things.

"Itadakimasu." Everyone starts to eat and Amelia slowly eats what is being fed to her. Gabriel fed Amelia along with Sachi. Amelia giggled and picked up a meat bun. She ate that so that everyone else would focus on their own food. "Thank you." 

Gabriel ate his food along with some of Amelia's. He looked at Nathaniel and pushed his lunch towards his friend so that he could eat some o'f the tasty morsels that were inside the bento box. He watched as Nathaniel's eyes light up, and he chuckles. 

"Gochisousama. I am glad that I do not ever need to worry about leftovers. Everyone here will eat what I cannot." Amelia watches as every one slowly eats and smiles while leaning on Gabriel's side. "Will it be a guarantee that I will get into your class, Gabriel?"

"Yes, it is not hard to make sure that you get in my class. My family donates a lot of money to the school, so we have a little say of classrooms, but we do not interfere all that often." He wraps his arm around her waist, and he switches hands to eat with.

Nathaniel smiles and shakes his head. "There has been only two times that you have stepped in and that was to get me in your class and when you found out this beauty was not going to stay in the school." He covers his mouth like that was supposed to be a secret.

"I already know all about that. Nathaniel, you truly are a good friend." Amelia nods and the rest finish off what was in the bento boxes. "Gochisousama," was heard from everyone else. 

Gabriel squeezed her side gently before letting her go, and he wrapped up their lunch boxes together. "You be safe in your classes and I won't be able to check up on you, so I will be leaving you in Sachi and Ami's care. I will come and get you after classes end." He stood up and kissed the top of her head. 

Amelia got up while blushing. She went to Sachi and Ami who were smiling. "Don't worry, we will make sure that she is okay." Ami smiled and opened the door while carrying Amelia's assignments. The girls walked back to the classroom. Ami placed the satchel down on Amelia's desk while Sachi smiled at the two.

"Thank you, I know that it is not easy to help me all the time." Amelia blushed and looked away.

"Pfft, you are too funny Amelia. You are one of my best friends. There is nothing more that I would like to do than help you out. Ami sat down and smiled happily.

Sachi goes through the steps of getting the students to rise, bow, and sit. The teacher starts to go around the class and checking assignments. Amelia wrote a note on to of the assignment stack for the class asking to take all the exams to advance. When the teacher saw the note he picked up the stack and nodded his head. 

Amelia sighed in relief and the rest of her classes went the same way where she handed in everything and the teachers all indicated that they would prepare the exams for her. At the end of the day Amelia looked at the empty satchel smiling. She looked at Ami and Sachi. "I'm all done handing in all of my assignments. Thank you both for walking me to my shoes." She sat down changing slippers for geta sandals. 

Gabriel came to her side. He stayed quiet and listened to how happy Amelia was. "Congratulations on the start of advancing, Angel." He hugged her and guided her to the carriage that was waiting. He helped her in and got in and sat next to her. When they were no longer in sight he kissed her on the lips. "I didn't think that you would like it if I kept kissing you at school, so I waited until we were alone." 

Amelia blushed and looked up at Gabriel. "It is improper to do those things at the school, but if we are on our way home I do not mind." She rested her head on his chest and looked up into his eyes. 

"I think that overall everything was very successful. You handed in all of your homework and the teachers shall get your exams ready. We will go over the second year assignments that you need to finish up. That way within the next month you will get to the third year class." Gabriel holds her close smiling. "Rest if you feel that is what you need." He watched her nod and get comfortable laying on his lap and passing out. Gabriel watched as she slept on the way how and only work her because they reached home an hour of so later.
