Loved By The Villain And The Male Lead

"Ah... I'll get some clothes after I drop off NingNing."

Su Ning's brows furrowed upon hearing this response. Almost immediately, she recalled the time when Gu YuChen was about to leave for the UK. He also only packed a small carry-on back then. Afterwards, he indicated that he could simply purchase all of his  Su Ning shook her head; she will never understand how rich people think.

"Let's go together bah. We can eat dinner outside after," Su Ning offered as the man maneuvered his car out of the parking lot.

"NingNing doesn't have schoolwork?" Gu YuChen asked. It was only Monday and he knew how seriously Su Ning took her studies.

"Hmm? There's not much homework. I can just do it after supper. Come on nah YuChen-ge. Chu fa!" Su Ning declared pointing ahead. 'I'd rather spend some more time with Gu YuChen. I haven't hangout with him for so long.'

Gu YuChen smiled at the girl's antics and drove directly to Marui department store. The two spent a pleasant afternoon shopping for men's clothing and toiletries. They looked like an extremely attractive couple in love with their affectionate interactions, drawing the attention of several passersby and sales associates. However, Su Ning and Gu YuChen paid no mind to their surroundings and the latter happily let the former pick out his clothes for him.

He patiently stood waiting as Su Ning used him as a human hanger and compared sizes and colors of the clothing she found that suited him. Actually, Gu YuChen wasn't the type who spent a lot of time shopping for clothes. Gu YuChen periodically visits a tailor to have bespoke suits made and for casual clothing, he simply orders them from online. For someone as busy as he is, it was just much more efficient and convenient that way.

Yet, at this moment the young man felt as if he could spend all day engaging in what he previously thought was a mundane activity. The stimuli of having Su Ning's focus completely on him as she casually and naturally touched his body rendered Gu YuChen intoxicated. He had been deprived of her presence for so long that the thoroughly parched Gu YuChen felt as if he had found an oasis in the middle of the desert. 

As the young woman stood in front of him whilst seriously contemplating between a grey and navy colored  sweatshirt, Gu YuChen took the chance to observe Su Ning's exquisite facial features. Her long lashes fanned across her cheeks creating soft shadows on her heart shaped face. She had clear, pale skin, peach blossom eyes and a high nose bridge. At this moment, her nose was scrunched up in concentration.

As Su Ning was moving about to pair the men's tops she got with some jeans and sweatpants, Gu YuChen moved to brush back a lock of hair that had fallen down her face.

"We can just get them all. You don't need to spend too much time on this," Gu YuChen said softly. He lightly placed his finger on her crinkled forehead.

"No, lah! You'll only be here a week. It's a waste of money to buy too many," she answered with a frown on her face.

"I can't leave them in your apartment for when I come visit?" Gu YuChen asked.

His question caused the girl to brighten considerably and she shot him a brilliant smile.

"Ho! That's right! Then let's get them all bah!" Su Ning announced before heading off to the register. 'Why didn't I think of that? Gu YuChen can just keep coming back ah!' she happily decided.

"NingNing, qian bao," Gu YuChen called out quietly after the girl took a few steps. Su Ning subsequently bounded back towards him with her hands outstretched. He unaffectedly handed her his black Yvves Saint Laurent wallet before saying, "You can use whichever card you want."

"Ohh! Rich! Okay trust this xiao mei of yours! I will make you look handsome!" Su Ning proclaimed, pointing to her chest. 

"I thought I was already handsome?" Gu YuChen said matter of factly. 

"Ni hai hao ba ni ah?" Su Ning asked concernedly before looking aghast. "Who are you and what have you done to my YuChen-ge? That facial paralysis friend of mine would never say these things," Su Ning exclaimed.

"Out, out! Come out of his body!" Su Ning hissed while making a gesture of throwing salt at the young man.

According to many superstitious beliefs, salt can be used to ward off evil. (*´∀`*)

"Alright alright. Enough now. Sha yatou," he responded with a light chuckle. The sound of his deep and calm laughter caused several people in the store to turn around and look at the man with admiring glances. Yet, the oblivious pair continued to joke around with each other without regard to other people's stares.

"He he he. Okay I'll be back in a jiffy then let's grab sushi," she snickered before running back to the checkout counter.

While Su Ning was standing in line at the register, she took a few glances back to where Gu YuChen stood waiting and was surprised to find several girls surrounding the man. The sight immediately brought a frown to Su Ning's face. She was expecting Gu YuChen to quickly rebuff the women's advances but the daft man merely stood there and let the women fawn all over him. Su Ning clicked her tongue. 'Tch. Isn't he being a bit too free with his affections? Why doesn't he use his facial paralysis to turn them away,' Su Ning thought pouting. 'He's so proactive at keeping distance with me so his crush doesn't misunderstand but he's just letting them hang around him. Ah!!! Is that a smile?! He's even smiling at them!? Wo cao!' Su Ning's mood soured instantly.

However, unbeknownst to Su Ning the conversation between Gu Yuchen and his admirers actually went this way.

"My friends and I have been observing you for a while now and we think you're really handsome," said the more courageous one of the group.

"We wanted to know if you already have a girlfriend," she continued.

"Can we have your number?!" piped one girl from behind.

"We can also add you in LINE if that is easier," another girl eagerly offered.

In fact Gu YuChen wanted to quickly get away from the chattering group but he knew Su Ning liked it better when he was nice. So he strove to put on a kind expression on his usually impassive face. 

In perfect Japanese, Gu YuChen said politely, "I'm sorry. You are all very attractive women but I already have someone."

His gentle rejection to the girls' romantic overtures elicited the desired effect. The group was not at all offended at being turned down and instead only felt regretful that they weren't able to meet the man before he got a girlfriend. 

"This is such a shame!"

"We're too late!"

"See, I told you he would be taken already." one of the girls whispered to her friend.

"Is it that girl you were with previously? The one waiting at the register?" the girl who first came up to Gu YuChen asked.

Gu YuChen responded to her inquiries with a gentle smile, causing the girls to squeal. 

"Your girlfriend is really beautiful!" 

"Yeah, you two suit each other."

"We weren't sure when you were together. But we were hoping you two were only friends."

They gushed excitedly.

"Mhmm.. NingNing is the best," he said softly.

"We will be rooting for you two!"

"Kyaah!!! Too handsome!"

"Alright, thank you," Gu YuChen responded, giving the girls another charming smile before he bade them goodbye. This was how Su Ning found them as she returned from purchasing Gu YuChen's clothing. Su Ning appeared normal on the outside but she was actually upset inside. To be more specific, she was crucifying Gu YuChen in her head. 'The difference in treatment is too much, bah! Is it because I am only a best friend and those girls are potential love interests?' she wondered unhappily. However, the girl didn't voice out her complaints. 

"YuChen-ge," Su Ning called out, eyeing the girls who were giggling as they made their way out of the store. "If things don't work out!!! I am free!" one of the girls called out shamelessly before disappearing.

Su Ning's eyes narrowed and Gu YuChen chuckled.

"Done?" he asked before naturally taking the bag of clothes from Su Ning. The girl nodded.

"Anywhere else NingNing wants to go?" Gu YuChen inquired.

"Let's go to MuJii to buy you some toiletries," she answered and the man nodded. 

The pair stopped by MuJii and spent about 15 minutes shopping for toiletries before finally deciding on a sushi place for dinner. When they were finally seated and munching on some appetizers, Su Ning asked the question that has been weighing on her mind for the past few hours. 

"Ahem, so what did you and the girls talk about earlier?"
