Magic Trick

[Ellis's PoV]

ALTHOUGH SALVATORE WAS REALLY HELPFUL TOWARDS THE DISCOVERY OF MY NEW TALENT, I STILL DISAGREE WITH HIS IDEA OF BEING FRIENDS WITH EXES. 

Like, what great things would it do to you as a person, when he or she had already made your world crumbling down after the break-up? I mean, fine, you've shared a lot of wonderful moments back when you were together, but it all boiled down to the shitty scenes of separation. Am I right or you're just stupid enough to admit that to yourself? 

As of now, I went back to our room and rested on my bed. I was too tired exploring my newfound skill, but what really made me more tired was proving to Salvatore how I repel being friends with ex-lovers. We figured out that it only takes five minutes before the copied power wears off until I find out another way to make it longer, but it would take a lifetime before he can inject the thought of being friends with my ex in my mind. 

"Oh, you're back." It was Trick who entered the room.

"Yes, bitch, and I discovered a new power," I proudly said.

Trick was surprised. "Whoa, how did you do it?"

"I don't kiss and tell, but Salvatore helped me," I replied.

"So, you blew him for you to get another skill?" Trick asked.

"Why didn't I think of that?" I grinned. "Anyway, we talked about Fenna and Haru and how I despised being friends with exes."

"I don't see anything wrong with that," Trick opined. 

"Uh-uh, bitch, don't get me started again. I'm tired of explaining," I warned. I don't want a part two of that talk.

Trick winced. "Well, if you don't want the ex, how about we add a new character in your movie?"

"What are you saying?" I got confused with his words. 

"Fei and I talked just a couple of minutes ago. We sorted out my issue and the reason he did that attack on Ploy is to make the Borgs feel that he should be taken seriously as he can do bad things too. He said that it was a calculated attack and he made sure Ploy won't take much serious damage," Trick explained. 

"So, when does my movie start?" Sometimes, Trick tells a lot of things that I don't really understand, but if I clarified, I then get the gist of it. He's so odd, right? 

Trick then smiled awkwardly. "Here it is. At the end of our talk, Fei asked me if Beam has the hots for Haru. Did you observe it too?"

"What?" I got up from my bed and screamed. "The Thai?"

"Yeah. Earlier this morning, Fei and I visited Ploy in the infirmary. Beam endlessly asked where Haru is. Does that mean something? Or does he want to see him apologize for his behavior, since Fei and I went there to do the same?" Trick wondered.

I groaned. "No way! I'm the present. Fenna is the past. No Beam should be in the future! That's totally—"

"Wait a minute," Trick stopped me from talking. "Let's clarify that. As I observe, you and Haru aren't on good terms at the moment. So… How can you say you're the present? Besides, were you two in a relationship? You're not a couple, are you?"

I sighed. Sometimes, Trick tells things that make sense right away. "We weren't, but there is something between us. I can feel it. When we're alone, we have this connection. It's really different when we're in a group. But when we're in our world, we talk endlessly. There are times that I have to do fake snoring to let him know that I'm asleep, so he would stop talking."

"Really, bitch? You don't need to fake that," he argued.

I made a wacky face, then I continued with my lines. "We talked about anything under the sun. Even the simple weather talk, which is a terrible conversation starter. We laughed a lot. We joked several times. Hell, we even talked so much about sex. And I love it. It's like he found a way to release his tense self in me."

Trick's mouth opened wide. "So… Handcuffs?"

I giggled. "Well, handcuffs… Blindfolds… Whips… Ropes… Plugs…"

Trick covered his mouth. "Oh, gosh… He likes that shit?"

"I told you, this mouth won't spill the cum it slurped," I winked.

"Come on!" Trick shouted. "So… you did it with him?"

I shook my head. "Nothing happened, bitch. You know why? If I wanted to take advantage of him, I would have done something, but I got to know him and I was drawn to him. Imagine that? We've never done it, and I'm all over him."

Trick sarcastically did a sign of the cross in front of my body. "Mother Teresa, what miracle have you done to this worldly sinner?"

I laughed. "Bitch, trust, I valued the vibe that we had rather than taking advantage of that closeness for sex. He's not that showy, I tell you. You've seen it when we're all in a group. He rarely talks. He doesn't interact that much. But there is a different side of him when you get to know him closely."

"Hmm…" Trick squinted his eyes. "Is this some sort of reverse psychology you're doing? Like, you're making him feel that you're not taking advantage of him so he feels safe until he does the first move on you?"

I grunted. "Believe it or not, that's not what I'm aiming for. I want him to really fall for me, not because he's just challenged but because he sees the real me. As the legendary Karen Carpenter sang, 'he's got to love me for what I am, for simply being me'."

Trick sincerely smiled. "Why did you feel that way towards him?" 

"It's because he saved me, right? That's the first time that I experienced a guy saving my life. Most of them wanted to bottom me, but this one? He didn't wanna be on top of me. He just wanna make sure that I am on top of my health. No other guy did that to me. Ever," I honestly said. 

Trick held my hand. "I'm happy for you, if Haru realizes he likes you."

I shrugged. "Well, you know me. I'm a slut when I open my mouth, but I'm a real virgin in love."

Trick shook his head repeatedly. "We're not sure of that."

"F/ucking bitch," I growled. Then we both laughed.

"So… Going back to your powers, how did you acquire your super powers? The Camo won't cover it all, though," he asked. "Did you… slurp?"

I laughed so hard. "Was that all you thought I did?"

"Well, it worked for me," Trick shrugged.

I shook my head. "I told you, we've never done it."

"Wait, I remember he said something. Did he inject his jizz to you?"

I laughed again. "That was sarcasm. Didn't you understand the context in his tone?"

"I didn't," Trick scratched his head. Oh, my dear friend. Sometimes, you don't really get what makes sense and what doesn't. "So what is it?" 

"This necklace," I showed him the Camo. "This is just a decoy."

Trick's face demonstrated confusion. "Decoy? Why do you like having decoys so much?" 

Since he's my best friend, I opened up to him about what really happened that day. "Well, actually, what he did was he crushed the real Camo and turned it into some sort of pixie dust. Then, he prepared a drink that tastes like the Cosmopolitan I always order at Overture. He mixed the dust in that drink and I drank it. Then, he can now share his power with me, as the necklace is already in my system. Both of us can now go to this white room where there are seven spheres that have voices. He then confirmed that the place is called Camo, and sometimes… We go there to just talk. No sex. I promise."

"S-Spheres?" he startled for some reason, which means there's something bothering him. You know Trick. He's easy to read. I can tell with just one look that he's not comfortable talking these things. 

But I will play it safe, like I'm not fishing for information. "Yeah. Did you have those too, right?"

He sighed. "Actually… No."

When he resists like this, this is now the time that I have to force him. "Bitch, what do you have? Tell me or I'm gonna put a bomb inside your mouth!" 

Trick winced. "Okay, but promise me you won't freak out."

I looked at him with a poker face. "Come, bitch. I've watched you jerk off countless times and did I ever make a noise while you move your hand up and down?"

He did a facepalm. "Oh, gosh! I'm trying to burn that in my mind. Now, you brought it back! Ugh!" 

I chuckled. "Come on, tell me. What is it that you have if not spheres? Diamonds? Hearts? Clubs? Spades?"

He did not answer me, but he did hold my hand and suddenly…

"Where the f/ucking f/uck are we, bitch?"
