A few hours after the Kar Clan was killed, number 32 also assassinated a Viscount Clan. The two Grand Knights used the same spells to kill due to Calter's orders

When morning arrived, a wave of unbelievable news spread in the whole City. Two powerful Nobility Clans were assassinated only a few hours apart with each other

All the people that died were killed using the same spells of dark type. All the Magic Knights and a lot of Magic Warriors were killed by the assassin. Only the weak Magic Apprentices were left alive

Those that survived would surely have bad days ahead of them. As Nobles, these people are used at acting arrogantly and bullying other people. But now that their backing and source of confidence died, the people they bullied and wronged before will surely settle the scores with them

There are also the rumors that the Nobles were killed because Fiery City bullied the Soaring Magic City but turns out that the latter has three Grand Knights with them. Soaring wants Blaze to compensate but he did not agree and even ignored the declaration of war

These rumors were naturally spread by number 31 and 32. It will fan the flames and make things against Blaze. These commoners does not really care much about who became their City Lord. In fact, because of Blaze's tyranny, many wants him to be replaced

This tactic will put Blaze against his own citizens. If you acted without caring about other people, you must prepare for the time that these people will want to drag you down

If you are high above and bullied those who are at the bottom, when the time comes that you're in a dangerous situation, others would surely make things harder for you

Unlike Otto's Magic Tower, Blaze's own is at the center of the City. It stood proudly as the highest building in the city. Inside his tower, the temperature is very high especially to where Blaze is

The other Grand Knight of his City is also there with him as it was his own son. Due to Blaze exploiting the City of all its money and resources, he was able to luckily make his son advance in the Grand Knight

This further consolidated his hold on Fiery City as his son is loyal to him. Hearing the news of Nobility Clans being assassinated and the people throwing protest made him extremely furious

These people are afraid that they would be the next ones to be assassinated. They are urging Blaze to resolve the matter as soon as possible

"Damn that Otto!" Blaze cursed and slammed his fist on the table, his fist crushed the table and it soon burned because of his power

"Father, what do we do?" Blaze's son asked fearfully as he was afraid at his father's angers and wants to resolve this as soon as possible

"I don't know!" Blaze roared. If it were before, he would surely be able to make things hard to Otto for doing this. But now, things are different

Soaring has the advantage now as they have three Grand Knights. Even if one of the Knights were here on his City, he still cannot directly attack a City with two Grand Knights

"Order all the Nobles to raise their guards and help us in finding the rat! Mobilize all of our forces! Even if the enemy is a Grand Knight, in a City with hundreds of Knights and thousands of Magic Warriors, if he was surrounded, he would still die!" Blaze said after some time

The most important thing is finding the 'rat'. If they find it, it will make things easier. If they successfully killed the rat then at most, Soaring will be at the same level as Fiery city

"Yes, father" after saying this, his son went to give the orders of the City Lord

What they did not know was that it was quite ineffective. After the news of Noble Clans assassination, Blaze and his force focused on the inside of their City. They thought that the assassination was the limits of Soaring City's 'viciousness' but it wasn't

In a room in one of the remaining Marquees Clans, Number 31 and 32 can be seen standing between a middle age man. The wand of the two were pointing at that man and their spells were ready to be launch at any time

"W-what do you want?" The man asked with a pale face. If other people saw this, theirs jaws would surely drop on the ground. A powerful Patriarch of a Marquees Clan was actually trembling in fear

"Surrender or you'll die now" Number 31 coldly said while letting out a bit of his aura. But even that little bit was enough to make the Patriarch even more terrified

That is the aura of a Grand Knight! A being that can kill some Magic Knights even in direct combat. He already almost pissed his pants, yet another aura of a Grand Knight assaulted his senses

This time, it was the aura of number 32 that is behind him. Two Grand Knights against a single Knight, isn't this overkill? For the three in that room, it was too much

But for Calter, it wasn't! It was true that a Grand Knight is the most precious 'troops' but that doesn't mean Magic Knights are worthless

If tens of Knights teamed up, they can still easily kill a Grand Knight. Calter greatly needed these Magic Knights, if he can recruit them, that would be the best as some of them might be able to advance in the next rank

"I-I surrender" The Patriarch fearfully said. Most of the time, Nobles will do their best to become powerful mages. But once they reached even just the Knight Rank, their status would rose and almost no one will dare to anger them

That is why, they started living a life of carefree riches. Their lives were never threatened like this. Add that to the fact that two Nobility Clans were killed in a single night, made this Knight even more fearful

"Empty words are not enough. Swear to the God of Order that you'll be our master's slaves" Calter will never accept a verbal consent, he wants an absolute loyalty and tight grip on his subordinates. Sometimes, one's downfall was not caused by powerful enemies but the one closest to you. Calter wants to avoid that

"W-what?!" As a Knight, this man naturally knows what it means to swear under the God of Order. Even Grand Knights were not able to break free from the oath much less a mere Knight like him

"Choose now, we don't have any time to waste on you" Number 31 said and pointed his wand closer to the man's neck

The drive to live overcome the Patriarch and he was forced to be Calter's slave for the rest of his life. As soon as he finished taking the oath, the two stopped threatening the man's life

As he is now a slave of Calter, he won't be able to betray them. "Call all the Magic Knights one by one in your Clan. If they agreed to be slaves, they would live, if not, we don't have any choice but to kill"

Although he doesn't want to make his Clan a slave clan, the Patriarch doesn't have a choice now and can only do as what he was told

"Number 32, do it" Number 31 said and 32 nodded his head before activating a spell

"[Dark Magic: Shadow Watcher!]" Multiple black eyeballs formed around number 32. This spell was also Calter's own spell before

Because Calter wants to become strong enough to bring back a dead person, his number 1 priority is his life. He became some sort of an assassin and made this spell to spy on things before he himself inspect it on person

The eyeballs made from magic passed through the walls and went to every corner of this Clan. Although Number 32 cannot spy on every Knights of this Clan, he can still spy on the majority of them by spreading all the shadow watchers in areas that one needed to travel to exit the Clan

In every place, it was bound to have an idiot and smart member. The smart members are troublesome in this situation as their Patriarch will call them one by one. The smart might sniff out that there is something wrong and tried to escape then report it. These two cannot let that happen

The assassination will put every Nobles in guard but Calter's plan is to seize their Patriarchs first. If the Patriarch surrendered, it would be easier to take care of the rest. With the assassination of two Nobility Clans, the others would be fearful and choose to surrender

Blaze will focus on the assassination on the Nobles, but he would be shock that not all of them would be assassinated. Calter wants them to surrender on him silently!

After the Knights will either surrender or killed, it would be easy to take care of the rest

Just like the plan, the Patriach called his Knights one by one. Number 31 and 32 are prepared to kill many people but to their shock only two didn't accept to be a slave and the rest surrendered

For these Knights, although they would become slaves, but they are still Knights! They might be given great importance. They still want to indulge themselves in the good things that the world can give to the powerful

Number 31 and 32 did this for three days and the fires made by the assassination were slowly dying down. No one knows that it was just the calm before a storm

The two Grand Knights managed to make the Nobles surrender and only few of them were killed. People still great hold importance on their lives!

Even though there are Magic Knights that were killed, the news was suppressed. What people are expecting is an annihilation of a whole clan or most of their experts dying. Thus, the deaths of one, two, or three Knights in a Clan was suppressed easily this time

Of course, some news still spread but Blaze didn't believe it. For him, the Nobles put importance on their lives and survivals. If their members were assassinated, they would surely ask for Blaze's help. But since they didn't, then the rumors must be 'fake'

In these three days, all the surviving Nobles are now Caizher's slaves. The two moved on and this time, their targets are the Knight subordinates of Blaze

The two needs to be cautious on this one and started targeting those who aren't that loyal to their City Lord. If they killed the loyal Knight subordinates of Blaze then the man will immediately know it and put his focus on them

But turns out that Blaze's way of tyranny angered a lot of people. They didn't care if they betray their City Lords, only some were killed as they didn't want to become slaves

But of course, this still made Blaze to be on guard and after some time, he ordered his Knights to come in pairs so that even if the assassin wants to assassinate them, they would be able to cause a commotion that will attract other experts' attention

After another four days, the two mostly forced the Knights to surrender and just let the others by themselves as that few people will not be able to affect things much

With Calter being in control of most of the City guards, it became too easy for him to let his other forces enter Fiery City

Calter only have two Grand Knights slaves but he has around two hundred Knights. Some of the Magic Warriors he had before, with his nourishing also advanced into the Knight Rank

This made Otto to sigh helplessly. Fortunately, Calter is kind to him. If not, the old man might even be forced to step down from his position

Caizher's force is stronger than his own force now. The young man's brilliant tactics also won Otto's praise

To take a hold on a whole City with only two Grand Knights, what a wonderful feat that was! Even if Otto have two Grand Knights with him, it is still hard to conquer a City with two Rank 3 mages
