Magic With You

Emily almost slapped herself, her plan is already perfect but there was a flaw on it. Kence is still just a Magic Apprentice! No matter how genius a genius is, a Magic Apprentice is still a Magic Apprentice!

For her, it was an easy feat to walk or even run on top of the pond. But for Magic Apprentices like Kence, it is still a bit hard. How can Kence use his mana to sit on the pond when he can't even stand on his two legs on it?

This was a huge miscalculation on Emily's part. It seems like Kence's 'healing' will take a longer time. There are other ways to help Kence heal but Emily wants to use this one

Not only will it help Kence get rid of the guilt and nightmares, it will also improve his mental state. Not to mention that it will also help in one's cultivation path

This method is the best one to use for Kence

"Kence, don't just focus on your feet. The water itself moves and you need to continuously change the amount of mana you needs to use" Emily coached on the side and Kence nodded his head. He wants to do the same thing that Emily did

"This will also help increase your mana control skill, do your best!" Using a spell requires a specific 'formula' and the mage only needs to use less or more mana to lessen or magnify its power

It wasn't the same as moving on top of water where you continuously need to change your rhythm

Kence for the time being forgot the burdens on his mind and focused on his training. He can walk slowly on the water but when he tried to run, he immediately fell on the lake

Kence walked back towards the side of the lake and looked at his drenched in water body. "I'll remove my clothes first, it'll just get wet" Kence muttered to himself which Emily heard

Emily's eyes went wide open "N-No, don't!" Emily said immediately causing her voice to raise a bit

The youth's body flinched a bit from the sudden voice. He was already about to remove his clothing when he heard Emily stopping him

"U-uh..why?" Kence asked in puzzlement. If he's fully clothed like this, it would be uncomfortable every time he will fall on the lake

Emily's mind speedily worked to think of an excuse. Fortunately, she also have a brilliant mind. "I-It is chilly here with the wind! You'll get sick if the winds hit your bare body"

Kence just nodded his head as it sounds 'true' and just continue trying to walk in the water

Seeing this, Emily wiped the cold sweats that formed on her forehead. She knew her son very well, Calter will surely be angry if someone were to see Kence topless. It is better safe than sorry

Kence's feet was covered with an icy blue light again as he walked on the pond. He didn't tried to run fast again and just decided to walk slow then slowly raise his speed

There were a lot of time that Kence fell on the pond as running on top of it required continuous conscious effort for him

Number D1 tried walking on the pond to do what Emily explained before. Even though he's not the best among the Grand Knights, Number D1 is still a Rank 3 Mage!

His mana control is much better that Kence and he doesn't have any problems on running on top of the water at all. Number D1 decided to get more use to it before trying the technique as he run and run on the pond

There are even times when the mage will jump high just to land perfectly on the water as if it was solid ground

This naturally caused Kence to look at him with resentment. Here he was, doing the best he can to barely walk on the water. But this Number D1 was doing it so effortlessly

Number D1 laughed awkwardly and stopped 'showing off' to not further anger his master's lover

Not wanting to lose, Kence continued his training and his running speed increased

Number D1 heaved a sigh of relief that Kence ignored him again and minded his own business

Krad then sat on the water, his legs and bottom were coated with blackish mana. Just like walking on the water, it was not that hard for him to sit still

The man closed his eyes and focused on sensing the mana in the surroundings. With Kence walking around, there is no lack of water ripples

The Grand Knight tried 'courting' the mana particles so that they will have 'good feelings' towards him. However, it was really harder than how it sounds

He tried calming himself but it was also hard. Random thoughts will enter his mind every time he tried to not think about anything. Doing what Emily said have many tricky parts

First is being able to easily be on top of water. The second is having a calm mind. Third is the courting part. Just because you calmed yourself doesn't mean the mana will have good feelings about you already. Things aren't as simple as that

Thus, although Kence progressed a lot on his mana control, Krad is still stuck at the second tricky part. He wants to give up but there is really nothing much to do and just decided to continue

"Don't give me that face, this place is beautiful but isn't as beautiful as you!" A flirty voice entered Kence and the other's ears causing them to turn their heads towards where the voice came from

"Stop being so flirty, you're annoying!" The second voice said and when Kence saw the source of the voice, he saw two people around his and his master's age walking towards the pond

Both of them are quite attractive especially the one with a pendant on his neck. However, his handsome and cute face was painted with annoyance towards the other man

Halli chuckled and turned his head towards the small pond and frowned. He wants to bring Kier in this beautiful place and have a date with just the two of them

However, there were actually people here and that spoiled his plan. Thus, Halli gave Kence and the others an unfriendly look

"Leave here now, we wants to be alone in this place!" Halli said arrogantly. Most of the Nobles are arrogant especially a descendant from a Marquees Clan

Aside from the City Lord that became 'overpowered' no other Nobility Clan will dare offend the Hale Clan. Halli is not afraid of anyone because of his backing

However, although he knew Calter, he didn't know Kence, Number D1 and Emily. It was hard to know Kence's face as he was always in the protection of City Lord's Manor or the Demon's Den

While Number D1 is a Grand Knight that didn't easily showed his face on public. Emily is the one that is the most recognizable as she is Calter's mother that have a great connection to the City Lord

However, Halli doesn't really care much about the happenings in the City. It doesn't affect his lavish lifestyle much and he won't bother remembering faces of people he doesn't care

Number D1 stood up and looked coldly at Halli who didn't know what kind of people he will anger because of his actions

Kier was different though. He lived his life in hardships, he can sense great danger emanating from Krad's body and tried stopping Halli

"L-Let's just come again another time" Kier said but Halli wants to impress him and use his 'powerful status'

"I'm the son of the Patriarch from a Marquees Clan. Give me some face and let us have this place for ourselves" Halli boasted thinking that it would be effective

But how can Number D1 and the others be threatened by a mere Marquees Clan? Calter even conquered a whole city before! What is a weak clan like that? Only one order from Calter is enough to exterminate such a clan

The fear that Halli expected didn't come and Number D1 just walked towards the 'trouble maker' before Emily's voice entered his ears

"Number D1" Emily said in a threatening voice and the man had a realization

Although Krad doesn't know the whole thing of the story, he still saw the mutilated bodies of Brony and Bonny. And he also knows what kind of person Kence is especially at how Calter treated him like a 'fragile flower'

Kence must have seen the bodies and became traumatized. Thus, Number D1 can't show too much violence

"Get out from here now" Krad said in a threatening tone but Halli just wont bulge. His petty pride was step on and he won't allow this kind of humiliation

"How dare you talk like that towards me? Are you tired of living?!" Halli rage as he gave Krad a deadly stare

Since asking 'nicely' isn't effective then Krad needs to show his force. The aura of a Grand Knight exploded from Number D1's body that suffocated both Halli and Kier

Their faces paled especially Halli. This powerful aura is even more powerful than the Magic Knights of his clan. As he wasn't someone that were threatened much on his life, Halli just stood there like a statue and didn't know what to do

Fortunately, the 'experienced' Kier was there with him to save him. "Esteemed Mage, please forgive our rudeness. We will take our leave now and stop bothering your group"

Just like what Kier expected, this group of people is not normal and they can't afford to offend them if they want to continue living

Kier bowed and pulled the frozen Halli on the way. The young master was really close minded

Halli became angry at Number D1 as Kier acted so subserviently towards him. This is something that Kier never did to him no matter how much he showered the man with love

Kier is always fierce and annoyed at him

After walking some distance, only then did Kier heave a sigh of relief. The aura that assaulted his body before was so powerful and it suffocated him

"Next time don't offend anyone you wants. Be cautious! You don't know if they have the ability to kill you with a mere lift of a finger. Just because your family is powerful doesn't mean that they are the strongest and just the mere mention of their names will make others to tremble in fear!"

Kier scolded to Halli. However, when he looked at the other man, Kier saw how down spirited Halli is and can only sigh. A pampered young master will always be a pampered young master!

It was too easy too dampen their moods by a single setback

"I told you, if you want to do everything you want you need to have the power for that" Kier said while sighing

"You can't even comfort me at times like this?" Halli said with a sad tone and Kier was suddenly attacked by guilt

Kier took a deep breath, he's also wrong for being harsh like this. Kier walked closer to Halli with a red face and gave the latter a kiss on the cheeks

"I-I'm just saying what I need to say!" Although he was guilty, Kier is still not good at words and actions. He gave Halli a kiss on the cheeks yet still defended how right he is

"Hmm" Halli only nodded and turned his head sideways. The guilt crawling on Kier's heart grew because of this. He's not used at Halli acting like this

Halli is always patient on him and was never this down before. It seems like the earlier experience really affected him a lot. And Kier's actions only do more harm than good

Kier took a deep breath again before speaking. "F-Fine! I-I'm sorry. W-What do you want me to do?" Kier said through gritted teeth

However, when he saw Halli grinning at him, he knew that he was actually tricked using the guilt attack!

"I want you to have sex with me tonight!" Halli said shamelessly as if he was just asking Kier to have a tea with him
