"[Dark Magic: Skeleton Archers!]" Calter activated his summoning spell and as soon as the skeleton archers emerged, he run on their opposite directions

With Calter's order, the skeleton archers aimed at the chain barrier that still have the shadow flames on them. Then they shot their arrows on it

As for Caizher, he used another spell and aimed at the barrier too. As long as he doesn't destroy it, he wouldn't be able to win this fight which is something he doesn't want to happen as Emily's smirk irritated him a lot

"[Dark Magic: Death Beam!]" Caizher activated his current strongest spell that has the power comparable to a Rank 1 Spell

The dark beam cut the air and aimed at the annoying barrier. Even though Emily was facing attacks on her two sides, there is still that smirk on her that didn't vanished since the fight started

The arrows and beam collided with the barrier shaking it. This time, some cracks finally appeared but it still wasn't fully destroyed

Calter clicked his tongue in annoyance before summoning yet another group of five skeleton archers. After that, he run on another direction again while ordering the archers to shoot

With a gentle tap of Emily's foot, copper chains appeared below on all the skeleton archers that Calter summoned. She did it in a nonchalant manner which just made Calter even more unwilling to lose

"[Dark Magic: Death Beam!]" Yet another death beam flew out from Calter's wand and collided with the barrier. More cracks appeared on it but just like before, it still stood proudly and wasn't destroyed

"[Dark Magic: Shadow Flame!]" The first shadow flame was still 'burning' the barrier but Calter doubled their size by using the same spell

"[Dark Magic: Death Beam!]" Continuous high levelled spells were used by Calter as if they were random cabbages. Although Emily knew that her son can perform miracles, but this is really just too much!

In the mana part, it wasn't that surprising. Among the humans, they have different amounts of mana at the same level. The difference isn't that much though and those who have much more mana than others are very rare

It was Calter's spell casting that is too abnormal! Even if one have enough skills and comprehension, casting too much spells like that would still put a great burden on your soul

But Calter... he doesn't look fatigue at all

Calter continued and he either summon or use high level spells to attack. But after some time, his face still paled a bit and bullets of sweat formed on his forehead. No matter what, Calter's soul still have a limit

Even after Calter managed to destroy the chain barrier, Emily will just use the same spell again to make a new one. Thus, no matter how much spells he spammed, Emily doesn't even move from her place and easily defended from all of Calter's attacks

"Time to finish this!" Emily said as she can feel the chain tattoo restricting her again. "[Sealing Magic: Chain Web!]"

To Calter's surprise, everywhere around him suddenly becomes a world of chains. There was almost no room to dodge at all

"[Dark Magic: Dark Shield!]" Calter jumped as high as he can before making a shield on his feet and used it to jump again. However, the chains were chasing him and the shield he made before was easily destroyed

No matter what Calter does, the chains didn't lose their power and one of it wrapped on his legs. Frustration flashed on Calter as he was almost defeated no matter how unwilling he is

But then, the chains suddenly dissipated into blue specks of lights and when Calter looked at Emily, he saw the woman hastily hidings her hands

It was only for a brief moment but he saw chain tattoos at the back of Emily's hand that the woman immediately hid. This caused him to raise his brows

However, as this is still a duel, he activated a spell and Emily's shadows turned into dark tendrils and binded her on her place. Emily glared at Calter as the youth immediately dash at her position as soon as she was binded

Calter then pointed his wand on Emily's neck

The woman gritted her teeth, she was toying with Calter before but it now backfired. To think that she would lose to Calter, a sixteen-year-old youth when she is....

"Mother, where is that smirk on you before?" Calter asked with a sneer. His pettiness kicked in and he's happy that he 'defeated' his mother

"Hmph! You are just lucky!" Emily replied and moved her head on the side in anger. If only she became serious from the start, then she won't be in such an embarrassing situation

"The words of a sore loser" Calter said with a ridiculing tone and waved his hand to remove the shadows binding Emily. The woman stomped her feet on the ground but didn't talked again, afraid that the others will really think of him as a sore loser

Calter ignored the 'loser' and walked towards Kence. The young master sensed something different on Kence but he can't quite pinpoint it. Well, who would have expect that Kence will mature after just watching the fight between Calter and Emily?

As soon as Calter reached the area in front of Kence, the youth immediately gave him a hug. Calter of course like hugging Kence but he was a bit surprised

"You missed me that much?" Calter asked while chuckling and did what he always does, patting Kence on the head and playing with the youth's hair

Kence raised his head and gave Calter a sweet smile. This time, his smile was genuine. Kence is still guilty at what he have done but it can't be help, those people almost harmed his master. If he didn't kill them, then it would be partly his fault if other people got hurt or die because of them

Calter was taken aback as he can sense that Kence's smile today isn't a forced one. "What happened to you?" Calter asked while narrowing his eyes. Although he's happy that Kence is smiling genuinely now, but it was a bit suspicious. Could it be, his mother's training on Kence actually borne fruit? It made him a bit guilty for defeating Emily in such a manner. But it can't be help, that woman is acting too arrogant in front of a former Grand Knight!

"Nothing, I just missed Big Brother" Kence simply said and put his hand on Calter's hand that is on his face. "Big Brother is not in our room when I woke up and I really really miss you!"

Calter gritted his teeth, he can't resist a Kence this clingy. He wants to do tons of unspeakable thoughts on his mind. Kence already thinks of him as a pervert, what more if the youth knows what is on his mind. Calter might become a super ultra mega pervert on Kence's eyes

But then Calter remembered why he was here in the first place and that dampened his mood a bit. But he won't naturally show that and just gave Kence a kiss on the forehead to 'recharge' himself

Thus, the two started another round of a 'public display of affection' which caused Emily to roll her eyes. As she lose at Calter, she naturally don't want the latter to be so lovey dovey with Kence today

However, Emily still knows that on Kence's heart, she'll at most be at the second place with Calter being the eternal first place. If she forbid Kence in being intimate with Calter for no reason, it might backfire. She can't let lose her ability to 'brainwash' Kence as she'll be able to 'get back' at her son with Kence

As Emily is a petty person herself, she walked out while stomping her feet on the ground. Her loud footsteps entered Kence's ears and the youth looked at Calter with some dissatisfaction

"You made mother really angry today" Kence scolded and Calter can only scratch the back of his head. Why is he the bad guy now? Emily is the one that subtlety leading him to ask for her guidance but it didn't work. With Calter's scheming mind, how can he not know that? Why is everything suddenly his fault now?

Sure enough brainwashing is still brainwashing even if Calter is the eternal first place on Kence's heart

"Uh.. sorry?" Since this is Kence, the young master don't dare fighting back as it might make the former even more dissatisfied at Calter's actions

"You should say that to mother" Kence replied and Calter's face twitched. How can he say sorry to that woman? Over his head body!

Fortunately, Kence changed the subject himself. "Anyway, why did you come here, Big Brother?" with Kence's words, Calter is reminded of his reason for being here again and can't stop himself from sighing

"Well... can we talk privately?" Calter said and looked at the Magic Knights standing guard. Since he'll focus on his cultivation then he naturally wants to...

"Hmm, okay!" Kence simply answered and went to the Sternix Clan's home which have a lot of differences now in terms of design and wealth

The two entered one of the guest rooms. Although they have their former room, but Calter doesn't want to enter it. It was the place where he almost lose Kence. It was a traumatic place for him. It'll just make him remember what happened

As soon as they entered the room, Calter let out another sigh and Kence sensed that there is something wrong with his master. Kence walked on the edge of the bed and sat on it

"What's the problem, Big Brother?" Kence asked with concern on his voice and Calter sat next to him

"Well...um... can I focus on my cultivation for some time?" Calter asked the big question which pained him. He and Kence already have less time with each other

They are both doing their respective business. Kence with his cultivation with the City Lord and Emily. Calter on his own cultivation and the management of Demon's Den. But now, the little time they have would even lessen. It would be a torture for Calter!

"Ah! I was thinking of the same!" Kence said with surprise on his face. Watching Emily and Calter fought before made Kence to realize how weak he is. He wants to protect Calter but with this large disparity in strength, it would be him that will be protected and Kence doesn't like that

Hearing this, Calter sigh. He thought that he will rest from time to time then go to Kence whenever he's available. But turns out that he also can't do that as Kence will have a training of his own

"Argh, although I can still see you from time to time, but I'm going to miss you a lot!" Calter said honestly in frustration. If only this wasn't such a horrible world where the strong can bully the weak how much they wants, then there was no need to 'separate' with Kence

Kence nodded his head as he too will be sad that he'll have lesser time with his Big Brother. However, for his dreams and goals, Kence needs to do what he needs to do!

"Don't be sad Big Brother" as Kence doesn't want Calter to be sad, he did the thing that Calter always wants to do with him

Kence gave Calter a kiss on the cheek but even he, feels that it wasn't enough.

Kence's kiss was like a torch igniting Calter's body. He wants to 'talk' to Kence privately exactly for something like this!

He'll have less time to be with Kence, so he naturally wants to do things like this now

Calter didn't wait for Kence to kiss him on the lips and took the lead. With them having almost no time for each other, Calter wants to do this 'making out' session without Kence snatching the lead from him

Calter needs to be the only dominant one this time!

Although Kence was already sitting on the bed, Calter still carried the youth in a princess style causing Kence to utter a surprise sound

Calter also took advantage of this and gave Kence's bottom a slight squeeze and another surprise gasp came out from Kence
