"I have a way to cure you of your poison" Calter said with a smirk. He's not an expert at medicine but he happened to know what poison this old man got and what is the cure for it. He knew that this old man differentiates things between enemies and benefactors. If he got in the good side of this old man, he would have a smoother cultivation path

Besides at his peak, the old man was Grand Knight Magician! The highest point that a magician reached in Enchanted Star Realm. Very few would offend him

The old man's body shook in excitement at hearing that this young man has a way to cure him from the poison torturing his body. However, he was doubtful as even he a powerful Rank 3 Magician can't cure himself; how can this young man do that?

"If you can really cure me, I'll give you anything you want as long it's something I can give" the old man said straightforwardly. All he wants now is to cure himself so that he can live longer of his disciple. His health was slowly deteriorating because of the poison, if he wasn't cured in only a matter of few years he would succumb and die because of the poison

Calter nodded as he clearly expected this outcome. "But before that, I want us to sign a contract under the God of Order"

The old man was shock at hearing Calter knowing about the God of Order. Magicians are atheist as they pursued the world's truth through Magic. But the existence of something like a God was undeniable to them

There's even a superpower in the realm that belonged to a God. They don't need to learn the principles behind magic as they have their Divine Magic that the God bestowed to then. Of course, there were still many people who don't believe them especially those who pursued the truths of Magic. But the Church can perform Divine Miracles that the Magicians in the realm can't causing them to also have many believers

The God of Order keeps the order of the world. Any contract signed by his name was effective than any other kind of verbal and written contract. Even a powerful Rank 3 Magician would easily die if they breached the contract

Even the waitress doesn't know about the God of Order and was standing behind the old man confused

"Master, what is the God of Order?" The waitress asked in confusion. The old man turned at her and answered "I'll tell you later"

He then looked back at Calter feeling that this young man was really not simple. Nonetheless, if he can be cured nothing else matters

"Fine, let's have a contract" Calter nodded and a sheet of blank paper along with a pen appeared on his hand. He began writing before giving it to the old man

The contract states that the old man and the waitress will never say whatever happened here to other people. The old man has to pay an amount of 100,000 Magic Crystals. The old man has to exterminate the Crane Clan after getting healed. The old man owed him 1 favor that he can use any time. They can't harm Calter, Kence and their Clan. And lastly, the old man would be Kence's tutor in Ice Magic

Yes, the old man was also an Ice Type Magician. One of the reasons why Calter chose to help him.

The contract may seem too much but for someone that will die in a few years if he wasn't cured, it wasn't too troublesome

The old man knew the consequences if a weak Magician like Calter showed his capabilities to other people. 100,000 Magic Crystal wasn't much to a powerful Magician like him. Even if he was poisoned, he can still exterminate a Clan like. He already owed him a favor if Calter can really cure him. Also, if Calter can heal him why would he even harm him?

The only part that was a bit troublesome was being Kence's tutor as that will took up time. But if it can save his life then it doesn't matter

"I, Otto swear to the God of Order that as long as the young man Calter can cure me I will abide this contract"

"I, Caizha swear to the God of Order that as long as Calter can cure my master, I will abide the contract"

The two said simultaneously and their bodies glowed with a mysterious golden light. The light's level was too high and powerful that it can make anyone feel like they were some weak insignificant mortal. It doesn't matter if one was a Magic Apprentice or a Rank 3 Magician, they would still have this feeling under the golden light

When the light vanished a golden balance scale appeared on their forehead before disappearing. Starting from today, they are bound by a contract that they can't disobey

"Tell me the way to heal me now!" The old man said immediately as he can't wait getting rid of the poison on his body

"Do you have a Vicious Snake Poison?" Calter asked that puzzled the old man, Narry. He wants to get cured but instead of saying a name of medicinal Magic Herb, potion or pills he asked for another type of potion

"I don't have it right now but I can get one. Why do you need it?"

"You have to introduce that snake's poison to the toad's poison for you to heal"

It was common knowledge that the Vicious Toads and Vicious Snakes were enemies. From the lowest level of them that has the power comparable to Magic Apprentice to the strongest that has the power of Rank 3 Magicians as long as they met a battle would surely occur

The old man got his poison to one of the most powerful toads, that's why it was extremely hard to heal it. But if the two types of poison clashed on his body then wouldn't it not kill? This caused Otto to frown as he thinks that this wasn't a feasible way and was wasting his time

"How can I do that? The two types of poison will clash and try to kill each other. If I do that I would certainly die"

Calter smirked as this was common knowledge. Not until someone discovered the best way to neutralize the poison of either the Vicious Toad or Snake

"Not if you lower the dosage" Calter answered. People would think to use the equal amount of the two poisons when you said that they will oppose and destroy each other

"Think of this, the poison in your body is like a thousand army of ants. I didn't ask you to exterminate the thousand ants using another group of a thousand ants. You can send a few tens or a hundred ants first to slowly lower the number of enemy ants until they were wiped out" Calter said and the old man was bewildered

If this theory was true then it would be a huge breakthrough in the field of medicine and healing. But of course, this cannot be applied to all types of poison. Most of the time the two poisons will mix and become even more harmful. This was only possible because of the opposing properties of the toad and snake. To other types of poison, it won't almost work

"I promised to treat you well if your method works. Take this!" A badge appeared and it flew into Calter's direction. It has the image of an Ice Phoenix soaring to the skies

"As long as you show that to anyone, they would surely give you some face" Calter nodded and took the badge on his spatial ring

As a citizen of Soaring Magic City and a Noble he naturally knew what this badge means. Now, just showing this badge will make him an untouchable in the entire city without anyone daring to harm or offend him

"Then, we will return now" Calter bowed his head as a respect to the old man. The old man was worthy of his respect. With Otto's strength he can just force Calter to give him the method, no need for the contract. But he didn't as the old man has a principle

Also, he was only a bit powerful than the old man on his past life. If Otto wasn't inflicted by poison then he might even be more powerful than the old Calter

Narry even walked with him to the door which shocked the customers inside the restaurant. The two bade their farewell while Caizha was looking at Calter's back with complicated expression on her face

Fortunately, she wore her mask again. If not, then her appearance alone was enough to cause ruckus in the restaurant. "Disciple, don't have feelings for him. He's already taken"

Otto said and patted Caizha's shoulder while sighing inside him. Caizha might not have feeling on Calter for now but she was extremely curious about him. A woman's curiosity is fatal, if they slowly learned how amazing the man was the more it will push them to the endless abyss of love. It was better to stop her now as it still wasn't too late

Caizha smiled bitterly, she naturally saw how Calter treated Kence and has a grasp on the nature of their relationship.

Along the way the adoration that Kence felt towards Calter increased by another fold. A Viscount Clan is even more powerful that their Baron Clan but the old man didn't put the clan on his eyes. Even a powerful Magician like Narry doesn't know how to cure himself but his Master can! Just how amazing was that?

"Big Brother, you are really so amazing!" He was only happy at how amazing his master was. He doesn't even care about having a powerful Magician as his tutor. For him Calter's things are his number 1 priority

"Of course, I am your Big Brother how can I not be amazing?" Calter said in a boisterous way. Although he said 'Big Brother' but deep inside him he meant 'future lover'

Calter patted Kence's head and ruffled the youth's silky soft hair. Without the two caring their flirty act attracted a lot of attention. Most are jealous at the two but they felt that they are fit for each other. Calter was handsome while Kence was cute

In fact, when he wasn't with Kence, Calter would always have a devilish charm with him. He's like an unapproachable demon that will bite on anyone that come close to him. He would only become like a normal and easy-going man when he was with Kence. This made Kence to think of him as 'good' and like a 'living saint'

After playing with Kence's hair, Calter put his arm on the youth's shoulder and walked side by side with each other. Once again, Kence felt that something was wrong with him as his heart started beating faster again. His face also turned red without him knowing why

It was a perfect moment but Calter's senses immediately warned him. An all-black wand immediately appeared on his hand and went to protect Kence

"[Dark Magic: Darkness Barrier!]" A black dome appeared around Kence to protect him. Calter saw a flash of red light flying on his way. If it were other Magicians as they just activated a spell, they won't be able to cast another one in a short amount of time

But Calter was no normal Magician! Spell casting Rank 0 Spells even if it was a Rank 0 Level 9 Spell, it would still be extremely easy for him. The only limiting factor was his soul power and mana

He pointed his wand at the fire claw coming on his way and a huge amount of mana gathered at the tip. The spell that he needs to defend himself from was a Level 5 Magic Spell.. Although he can use Magic Disruption again but he was just a level 3 Magician specializing in Dark Type Magic. Just how will people react if they saw him disrupted a spell not only different from his attribute but also one that is a higher level than him?
