Contrary to what others expected, the Head Master didn't become angry. She just looked at Calter in amusement

Calter realized what he had done and started questioning himself. Just why did he become so angry? Where is this so much anger coming from?

A cautious man like him actually made such a stupid mistake? Calter can't believe that he can shout angrily at someone that can kill him with a snap of a finger

"Is this your boyfriend?" The Head Master asked with a teasing look on her face. The thought of being Calter's boyfriend made Kence dizzy and his heart almost jumped out from his chest

"Is he? Is he?" The girl nagged while invading the youth's personal space. Kence panicked as he never encountered someone this clingy, his mind stopped functioning properly, and blurted out words without thinking about it first

"N-No! I won't like a pervert!" Kence answered with a loud voice while closing his eyes. The thought of being Calter's boyfriend was too much for his little mind to handle and he became panicky

"Y-you ...." Calter wants to refute but the anger from being called a pervert and fear for the Head Master made him not know what to do

The people around almost fainted, these two have huge guts! To think that they can act like this in front of such a huge figure

"Eh? A pity then" The girl replied and looked around him before his eyes locked on another student that was blessed by the heavens and was given a handsome face

In literally just a blink of an eye, the girl appeared in front of Xian that became flustered. "H-Head Master" the Prince greeted awkwardly as it was his personal space's turn to be invaded

"You look as handsome as always!" The girl praised while tiptoeing and raising his hand to touch Xian's silver-white hair

"T-thanks for the praise, H-Head Master" Xian replied with an unnatural expression on his face because of the girl's actions

"Head Master, here you are!" Another voice of a woman entered everyone's ears. When they looked at the voice's source, they saw a woman wearing a maid uniform standing in the air

Flying is something that only those that reached above Grand Knights can do! When did Rank 4 Mages become this common?

"Waahhh!!" The Head Master's face paled before a wave spread from her body that nullifies the gravity's effects. The mana around was also controlled by the girl and her body rose from the ground to flee

"Not so fast!" The woman in maid uniform shouted and from her hand, a rope made from fire flew in the air, intending to bind the Head Master with it

"Aisha, you stupid woman!" The little girl shouted before she casually slaps her hand in the air and a wave of fire spread

The fire was so hot that even the people below can feel it and they sweated a lot. "Head Master, stop resisting, and do your job properly!" The woman named, Aisha replied before she flew higher to dodge

"No! I want to rest!" The Head Master replied like a child throwing a tantrum

The maid can only shake her head before a fire aura covered her body. Aisha's speed exploded and she descended down to where the Head Master is

"Aahhh!! No!!" The girl shouted again before a similar fire burned on her body and run ... or more like fly away from Aisha

The two red streaks in the air moved so fast that most of the people watching them can't read their movements. The only thing they can see was the fire flying in the air at an unimaginable speed

"T-that is what a Noble Mage can do?" Calter asked himself while clenching his fist. The speed of the two was so fast, he knew that if they attacked him, he would die without being able to react

Calter had an impulse to use his eye power but stopped himself. Using Karami required too much mana, he can't waste it as there is still the practical exam

"Argh! Stupid woman, let me be!" The Head Master said angrily but Aisha just shakes her head. "No, you need to do your job. Stop being a stubborn brat"

Lines formed on the girl's forehead by being called a brat. Her aura rose and suffocated everyone except for her and Aisha

This time, even Calter was forced on his knees

What power! Calter is too prideful to kneel on anyone yet just the little girl's aura that is up above him can force him to this extent

The girl angrily opened her mouth and let out a fire breath. Space itself trembled a bit at how strong her fire breath is but that actually didn't cause a changed of expression on the maid's face

More fire burned on Aisha's body before she vanishes and reappeared at the back of the little girl. "Head Master, stop resisting" the maid said before whispering something in the girl's ears. Aisha then tapped the girl on the shoulder causing fire red marks to appear all over her body and it bound the Head Master

This made the Head Master angrier before she pursed her lips. "Fine!"

With another burst of the Head Master's power, the marks around her body vanish and she can move again

"Fine, be thankful that I went easy on you!" The maid can only nod her head to appease the little girl's anger. "But I want to make this batch's exam special first"

The two descended on the ground amidst the shocked eyes staring at them

"Hello!" The Head Master greeted as if the earlier scene didn't happen. "I won't take much of your time anymore. There is a dungeon inside that forest and the entrance was hidden by two runes. Remove the runes and give it to me. The winner or winners will be given a price by me. Good luck! "

After speaking, the pair of Head Master and Maid flew in the air and vanished from everyone's sight

The examinees let out a breath they didn't know they were holding. The 'playtime' of the two powerful mages didn't last long but it was enough to terrify everyone

Calter immediately stood up as soon as the powerful auras vanished and looked at Kence that is still on the ground

Some of the youth's hair fell on his forehead giving him another kind of charm. "Can you become ugly in my eyes for once?" Calter thought on his mind

He wants to help Kence to stand up but his pride didn't allow that. Besides, Kence's impression of him is too low, he might be called a pervert again if he does that. 

The Tower Manager cough to gather everyone's attention. "To those that will pass the exams and become a student at Escardon Academy, you must prepare yourselves for something like that. I-It is a bit of a common occurrence in the Academy. The Head Master is u-unique and her maid is also powerful "

"Now, spread yourselves and enter the forest in different areas. I warned all of you, no killing is allowed, the forest is monitored!" The Head Master said and pointed at a group of academy staff not far from them

The students immediately walked on different areas of the forest before entering it

Calter entered a part with sparse trees. With lesser trees, he would have more rooms for movements and there is a lesser chance for someone to sneak attack on him

"[Dark Magic: Ghost Spy!]" Calter made two balls of mana on top of his palm and turned them into two ghost-like things. With a wave of his hand, the ghost spy went in two different directions

Calter waited and stayed in his position first. When he sensed that one ghost spy he made was destroyed, he went in the same direction

Magic Beasts will attack everything on sight, especially if the object was exuding mana. Calter moved cautiously in the forest. Although he has high confidence, he still won't let his guard down

Who knows if a human was actually the one that destroyed his spell and is waiting to ambush him. One must always be cautious!

Fortunately, when Calter reached the area where his spell was destroyed, he saw a deer with green antlers. On its forehead was a diamond that the Tower Manager said before

Calter used his magic ring and it glowed with a dim black light. His mind felt clearer than before and the circulation of mana on his body becomes smoother

"[Dark Magic: Ghost Hands!]" Calter used his spell and ghost-like hands appeared below the deer

However, to Caizher's shock, from the diamond on his target's forehead, a protective barrier formed and it instantly covered the deer's body

"That damn Tower Manager!" Calter cursed. It seems like the diamond is not only for design. It actually protected the magic beasts

The diamond then glowed with a red light and the deer turned its head in Calter's direction. The young master immediately used a speed-boosting spell on his body

Turns out that it was the right decision. The deer's antlers glowed with a green light. The tree roots around Calter almost impaled him, if he didn't move away as soon as he was discovered by the deer he might have lost already

Escardon Academy is really the number 1 academy in the whole realm. Even just its entrance exam was this vicious

The written exam is already hard yet the practical exam is even harder. The process will ensure that the trashes will definitely be weeded out

Pieces of roots flew in the air as it only took one slash from Calter to destroy his enemy's attack

Seeing that the root attacks were ineffective, the deer poured strength on its hooves and charged at the human

"[Dark Magic: Phantom Slash!]" Calter slashed his sword in the air and a black arc was generated. This caused the deer to stop and was about to use its antlers to block but a surprising thing happened

The phantom slash disappeared in mid-air and only became visible when it was already in front of the deer

The sword slash injured the deer's eyes and it instantly loses its sense of vision. Blood splashed on the ground, Calter didn't waste any time and charged at the deer with the sword in his hand

However, when Calter stepped on something, a small rune glowed and a trap was activated. The leaves on the tree near Calter moved on their own and went to attack him

Fortunately, Calter has a quick battle reflex. He immediately jumped away from his earlier position and the hardened leaves penetrated the ground

"Just how many details the Tower Manager didn't say?" Calter asked no one while shaking his head. The difficulty of this exam grew every second that passed

The deer that cannot see anymore entered a frenzied state. Roots, leaves, and branches around it moved to blindly attack everything

Calter was forced to block with his sword and he poured more of his magical power on it. "Tch" Calter clicked his tongue in annoyance before circulating mana on his feet

"[Dark Magic: Shadow Spikes!]" The deer's shadow suddenly moved and turned into sharp black spikes that penetrated its body causing more blood to spill on the ground
