The two ordered their foods but they need to wait for some time before it arrives and Kence starts pestering Calter

"Come on, answer me now, what do you mean by you'll try?" Kence asked but Calter just ignored him. Kence repeated the question a few times but Calter just won't speak no matter what he says

In the end, Kence can only give up while feeling frustrated. Kence's angry eyes stared at Calter that didn't look at him ... or at least directly

Calter's head was on the side but he will sneakily take glances at Kence and he enjoyed the youth's annoyed look a lot

After a few minutes, the waitress finally arrived with their order and put it on top of their table

Kence's order only has meat on it while Calter ordered a meat and vegetable dish. Compared to the things that Kence ate before, the foods in front of him doesn't look that appealing but he still happily ate it

Calter turned his focus on his own food and took the spoon before realizing that he and Kence look as if they were on a date. That thought brought a sense of joy to Calter's heart and his hand unconsciously moved on its own to give Kence some of his vegetables

Kence stared at Calter while feeling confused. Kence hates vegetables but after he woke up while feeling unfamiliar with the things around him, Kence starts eating some vegetables from time to time. As for the reason? It was because he felt that there is someone that is always forcing him to eat vegetables and he misses that feeling

Now that Calter gave him vegetables, it causes his heart to feel both happiness and dread. Kence misses this feeling but he also doesn't like eating vegetables

In the end, due to Kence's annoyance to Calter from his earlier actions, the youth put the vegetables back into Calter's plate

"I don't like vegetables" Kence explained but the 'hateful' Calter put the vegetables back to his plate. "Eat it" Calter simply said much to Kence's annoyance

"I told you, I don't like vegetables" Kence said while rolling his eyes

"You won't grow taller if you don't eat vegetables" Calter replied and he enjoyed watching Kence's anger increasing

"I-I'm not short, you're just tall!" Kence retorted but Calter just look at him with 'pity' in his eyes

"Yes, yes, you are not short" Calter replied and Kence felt insulted at that. In the end, Kence was played by Calter into eating the vegetables. However, Kence did that in an aggressive manner that as always, looks cute in Calter's eyes

"Hmph, I hope you'll become shorter" Kence 'cursed' but Calter just smirks at him

The two were just 'enjoying' their meals when a loud voice entered their ears

"Bastard, do you want to fight?!" A man with a brawny body shouted to the other man that has the same body quality as him

"Do you think, I'm afraid of you?!" The other man shouted and the waitress immediately went to them to stop the two from fighting inside the restaurant

"P-please stop fighting, y-you'll disturb the other customers" the waitress said but the two just stared at her using their angry eyes

"Don't meddle!" The two shouted at the same time before winds came out from their palms that threw the woman away to the other side of the restaurant

The waitress immediately loses consciousness with blood trickling down her body

The other customers moved away from the two but didn't exit the restaurant as they are 'curious' about the outcome of the fight between these two

"Give it to me!" The first man shouted angrily but the other man refused. "Are you deaf?! I told you I don't have it!" The man bites back

Kence that was watching their exchange looked at the waitress with pity in his eyes and stood up from his seat to help the poor woman

"Where are you going?" Calter asked and Kence pointed his finger to the waitress. "She is hurt" Kence replied and starts walking to her position

Calter shook his head in helplessness before tailing behind Kence. However, to their misfortune, the two men started to have a physical fight and the first man was thrown coincidentally to Kence's directions

As Calter is more alert than Kence, he managed to make a move and a black barrier appeared on the youth's side

The man's body hits the barrier but it didn't even crack. Calter stared at the two men angrily, if he doesn't want to lay low as that might attract unwanted attention, he would at least break a bone from these two idiots

Calter just protected Kence that shot him another gratified look but the two brawny men didn't appreciate it

Their focus wasn't on Calter and they didn't realize his real level causing them to make a mistake

"Brat, how dare you to meddle in our fight?" The man that hits the barrier said and the man that causes it agreed with him

Calter frowned at the two. He was just protecting Kence, why does these two need to be an idiot?

Fortunately, before Calter clashed with the two, a man wearing a white armor entered the restaurant

"What is happening here?" The armored man asked and all eyes locked on him and the watchers started whispering around

"Woah, isn't that the famous Gam?"

"I think so"

"I want to become a strong Magic Swordsman like him too!"

Their words entered Calter's ears and he looked at the white-armored man with curiosity. Magic Swordsmen are not that rare but those that only hopes of reaching Grand Knight will become one

It was harder for a Magic Swordsman to advance and to become a Rank 4 mage is also too hard. Thus, only those who think that their limits were a Grand Knight will choose that path

Of course, a lot of people are still realistic. The chances of them becoming a Rank 4 Mage is too low, might as well become a Grand Knight that have a power stronger than normal mages, right?

Seeing the Magic Swordsman, the faces of the two people that were fighting each other earlier turned a bit pale

"W-we're sorry!"

"W-we won't do it again!"

The two said in fear. It seems like this Gam has quite the reputation enough to make people feel fear just by seeing him

"Come with me to the Town's Prison. If you behave, you'll be out after a few months"

The two didn't even resist even after they knew that they are going into the prison and cooperated with this Gam

Kence seeing that heave a sigh of relief before walking towards the unconscious waitress again and gave her some first-aids

The man named Gam apologized to the restaurant's owner first before dragging the two away

As soon as Gam went out, Caizher sneakily used his magic. A small ghost spy appeared in his palm before it blended with the environment and chased the Magic Swordsman

Calter walks towards Kence and after the youth treated the waitress' injuries, Calter dragged him away too

Calter doesn't show much power but he was still forced to use his magic. What if there really is something in this town? Who knows if they are guarding the town for any abnormalities and had already noticed Calter

Even though Kence was unwilling, he still went with Calter atfter seeing the man's serious face

The two went into an alley again and use their mask's ability to alter their appearance

Calter took a piece of cloth and put it on the ground. "Sit, I used magic earlier to investigate that Gam" Calter said before sitting too

Calter closed his eyes and connected himself to the Ghost Spy that is still tailing behind Gam

Fortunately, Calter is a Magic Knight now. The range that his Ghost Spy can travel away from him grew a lot. This is one of the reasons why most people won't want to be enemies with a dark type mage

They have decent fighting power in direct combat and they also have abilities like this that are hard to replicate using other elements. Dark-type mages are one of the most troublesome people to deal with

Soon, Calter saw the Town's prison. It was just a one floored building though that won't be enough to fit all the prisoners

Calter just thought that the real prison is below ground as most places do that to maximize every space that they have

Gam entered the building and Calter controlled his ghost spy to do the same but a barrier prevented it from moving farther

Calter wasn't surprised by that though as all prisons have some sort of defense mechanism from both the people inside and outside of it

Security is greatly needed if the prison staff doesn't want to give the prisoners a chance to escape. Security is also needed if they don't want an outside party helping the prisoners to flee

Calter just dissipated his ghost spy and lost his vision from it as he can't further investigate Gam. As soon as he did that, Gam's eyes immediately locked on the place the ghost spy vanished before walking again
