Around a month and a half has passed the four seeds entered the cultivation lands that are suitable for their advancement. All of them already advanced and became a proper Grand Knight except for one and that is Calter, the one that has the most complicated advancements among the four

Whether it be Kence, Halli, or Kier, all three of them were blessed by the 'Heavens' and the 'Universe' itself. Only Calter was different as he is going against the natural orders of the world

In that deep and dark world, Calter was focusing on his body. It was always the only thing that got left behind. Fortunately, after having a deeper comprehension and a soul of a Grand Knight, it was easier for Calter to cultivate his own cultivation art

If his body was not at the level of a Magic Swordsman when he fought with that God's believer, then he might not survive until the Head Master arrives to save him and Kence

More dark type mana seeps into Calter's cells and it continuously strengthened it. After deciding that it was enough, Calter uses the medicines that the Head Master gave to him all at once

Calter received another increase in strength but that just made his foundation shaky. However, just like the usual times, Calter is not afraid of that as after he becomes a Grand Knight, all the impurities and side effects causes by the medicines will be gone

That familiar sound of a barrier breaking inside one's body was heard and felt by Calter and his aura continuously grew again

The already dark surroundings turned even darker as the heavens rage once more while Calter's core projection appeared above him

Whether it be the core or the heavens' aura, both of them were significantly stronger than the last time Calter has sensed them. It seems that they recovered some strength. However, their aura when Calter cross the ranks between Magic Apprentice and Magic Warriors was still far stronger than the one they have now

Calter closes his eyes and repeatedly took a deep breath before opening them again. Calter's serious eyes stared at the sky where red lightning can already be seen

This is not the first time that Calter will experience this, the pain is not something that he can easily withstand now even if it became even more painful

Calter's eyes reflected his fearlessness and that seems to further anger the heavens. This time, ten bots lightning swum in the skies and they surrounded Calter

It seems like the heavens is really set on killing Calter but unfortunately for it, it cannot do that

The ten bolts of lightning strikes at the same time and Calter covered his whole body with a thick layer of mana

If that wasn't enough, Calter even activated his Karami. He was about to use his eye power to see the weak points of the lightning but Calter was shocked

There is no such thing as a weak point that he discovered as Calter can only see blurry powers

Karami enabled Calter to see mana but he found out that there is no mana involved in the attack of the heavens. Even when Calter tried to see what kind of power those lightning was fueled with, he only saw blurry energies

Soon, the bolts of lightning hit the core projection that took the majority of the attacks and only a small inferior power manages to land on Calter's body

That familiar pain that was magnified multiple times since the last time assaulted Calter's senses but he only roared in return and the pain wasn't able to do much about him

Just like the usual, Calter's whole body was burned and scorched but he ignored all of it and focused on withstanding the pain and not losing consciousness

Just like that, Calter easily bear the pain from the lightning and it didn't faze him that much anymore

As soon as the lightning vanishes, Calter was immediately drawn into another space

Calter saw himself standing in the one thousand steps of the stair of ambition where he entered the clouds. However, this time, another thing revealed itself to Calter

Several monsters made from clouds appeared in the skies and they all stared at Calter menacingly and he immediately knows what to do

Calter steps on the cloud and he didn't even fell down the ground as if the clouds were solid footing

The cloud monsters charges at Calter's direction and all of them have the power of a standard Grand Knight

The 1st stairs of ambition ... everyone would start to have ambitions after they grow up but most of them will only have small ambition at first

Even the Calter of before only wished to become a Grand Knight but after knowing more things, that ambitions continued to grow

The larger the ambition, the larger the stairs of ambition would be and this is just the first level. The Grand Knight level!

Calter still hasn't properly broken through but he was not afraid of these ten cloud monsters!

Calter charges at them and the two sides clashed

After some time, Calter finished killing the cloud monsters and he can be seen kneeling in the clouds while panting hard and another passage entered his mind

"The second being in the universe - the sun, tried to befriend the other being that is existing but the darkness remained its cold attitude as it doesn't like the sun"

"The darkness was ready to spent eternity not talking to anyone but ...."

The passage stops and Calter's mind was drawn into that same world of pure darkness. It didn't shock him anymore as this thing already happened before and he waited for more information that would be present to him

"Become a Rank 4 Mage .... the true power that lies within your body will reveal itself after that" that powerful and ancient voice entered Calter's mind before he was returned back to the reality

In the space where Calter is located his core projection is already retracting and the injuries he sustained was already healing at a fast speed

In no time, Calter's fully scorched and damaged body returned back to normal and its quality was even higher than before

Calter stretched his body. Although the passage and that world of Darkness is strange, he decided not to let it affect him that much

Calter already planned on becoming as strong as possible and even without that ancient voice, he would really strive to become a Rank 4 Mage in a short time

He is already a Grand Knight and cultivation would just become harder!

Calter spread his arms around and activated two summoning spells at the same time

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Warriors!]"

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Mages!]"

Five skeleton warriors and five skeleton mages at the Rank 3 appeared around Calter and he didn't even stop after that

A ghoul that is also a Rank 3 creature appeared and a skeleton wearing a black heavy armor riding a black horse appeared

With Calter reaching the Grand Knight, he can now summon more diverse races of dark creatures. His power was much more powerful than before

Just him summoning this much creature will already enable him to fight several Mages at his level

Before, Calter cannot summon much of his creatures despite his spell casting speed being fast. Calter can use a spell in less than a second but if his enemy can attack him every second, it would be foolish to summon his creatures

Calter can't possibly dodge the attacks with the small time remaining to him after summoning his creatures. But now, Calter can use two spells at the same time, things would be easier for him

If Calter continued to strengthen his soul that is already stronger than normal mages at his level, he would soon manage to use three spells at a time

After gauging his power, Calter unsummoned the dark creatures and sat down to solidify his foundation as he just broke through

"As of now, Calter's power is already above his two enemy seeds. Just his summoning magic will make Halli and Kier helpless much more if he uses the feared Eyes of Darkness - Karami"
