Magic With You

If you ask Calter who is the person he hated the most, he won't think twice before answering. There is only one person in the world that he will never forgive even if you threaten him with his life. That person is Brony, the person in front of him

"Who are you? Let go of me bastard! You dare hurt me?!" Brony was currently 5 years older than Calter and his cultivation was already at the Magic Warrior Rank. His physical strength was higher than Calter and the youth doesn't have the power to continue gripping his arm tightly

Calter didn't answer as his whole body was oozing with intense amount of killing intent. There was no explanation needed here. This man was the one who killed the most precious person in Calter's life

Brony is Kence's killer! Kence was killed because of some petty and unreasonable reason. Calter was not willing to back down on his past life even though he was extremely weak and because of that Brony killed his servant

Without a warning, Calter's magic wand appeared on his hand and activated the strongest spell he can.

"[Dark Magic: Evil Serpents!]" Five serpents radiating an evil aura formed in front of Calter's wand. Each of these serpents has the power of a Level 7 Spell

Evil Serpents spell was originally a level 5 Spell but thanks to Calter making a Magic Mark of it, it rose two levels of power. Calter can use level 6 Spells but he doesn't have enough mana to make a Magic Mark of it. Thus, he resort to using level 5 Spells that will have a power equivalent to Level 7 due to the Magic Mark

If it was normal people, from the close proximity and sudden attack, Brony wouldn't be able to dodge or defend himself. But Brony is not just a genius Mage, he's also a Magic Swordsman!

His physique was far superior than other Mages. One's mind may have the ability to react on a sudden attack but that doesn't mean that their body was the same. You can control your body to immediately defend but it might not have the ability to

However, Magic Swordsmen are different. Their body was almost as powerful as their mind and can react immediately on things!

A broad sword quickly appeared on Brony's hand and he used it to block the spell aimed to kill him. The serpent slammed on the broadsword but it barely made a ripple on the sword

Brony looked at the youth who was looking at him angrily. He gave back the favor and he also stared angrily at the youth who attack him like that

"Y-You! How dare you!"

Calter only looked coldly at Brony. So what if he was angry? Calter doesn't care. All he wants is to kill the man who took away a part of his heart on his past life

"Moved away" Calter ordered to Kence. At normal times, his voice would become warm and tender as long as the one he was talking with was Kence. But now, his voice remained cold as his fury can only be sated through killing!

"B-Big Brother..." Kence's body trembled as this was the first time that Calter talked to him with that kind of tone. He immediately become fearful and deeply regretted coming into this banquet. They haven't even arrived for five minutes and he already caused a huge trouble

"Move!" Calter roared. He wants Kence to move away as soon as possible so that he won't come into any harm. Calter's hand that was holding his wand was trembling furiously. He originally wanted to take his time and gain enough strength before confronting Brony. But when he saw the man, the anger that was suppressed inside him exploded all at once

"Y-yes" Kence said fearfully and immediately moved away from the scene while looking at his master with worry

"Do you think you can defeat me? A mere Level 3 Magic Apprentice?! You must be dreaming if you think you can defeat a Magic Warrior with the pitiful amount of strength you have!"

Calter sneered and gathered mana on the tip of his wand "I won't defeat you..... I will kill you!"

Calter's killing intent exploded and he leapt away to pull some distance between them. Fighting a Magic Swordsman that close would put him into disadvantage. He knew that he can't kill Brony with the weak power he has now but it doesn't mean that he won't at least try. This is his way to somehow vent his anger a bit

Fortunately, the commotion attracted the attention of the people around and they already moved away as to give them some space. They were waiting for the show that was about to be played

"[Dark Magic: Darkness Ball!]" Five balls of darkness each that has the power of level 3 Spell was shot by Calter

"Hmph!" Brony sneered coldly. For this kind of spell, he doesn't even need to activate his own and use mana. Just swinging his sword was enough to dispel that attack

Brony used the broadsword on his wand and slashed the acid balls easily. He doesn't even used any mana and just rely on his physical strength

Calter was not discouraged and as soon as one Darkness Ball spell was finish he immediately used the spell again. Even with Calter being like a machine gun that continuously spew out spells, aside from making Brony and the people around shock, it doesn't have much use

Brony was shock by his skill but the former wasn't the least bit worried. The difference between level 3 Magic Apprentices and Magic Warriors was so large that even Calter doesn't have any chance to win

Just a simple swing of Brony's sword already generated at least a mid level Rank 0 Spell. If he put some effort, every slash can have the power of high level Rank 0 Spells. And if he become really serious then his sword attack will have the power of Rank 1 Spells!

"[Dark Magic: Minor Explosion!]" A small dark ball of light flew out from Calter's wand and aimed at Brony's face. Too bad, Brony was too powerful and easily blocked it using his broadsword. The explosion didn't even hurt him one bit. It was like an ant attacked him

"So annoying!" Brony said annoyed and slowly walked closer to Calter. If he wants to, he can reach Calter's position in no time but he didn't do so. He thought that walking slowly and calmly receiving Calter's Spell will make the youth know the feeling of fear. If it was a normal Mage at Calter's level they would really be scared to death

After all, how can you not feel fear when you use all of the spells you can yet your enemy easily used his sword and destroyed it?

Calter gritted his teeth and used Minor Explosions as soon as he can. The rate in which he can use Minor Explosion was lower than Darkness Ball but its power was superior. Unfortunately, if even the Evil Serpents cannot do anything to Brony, how can Minor Explosion deal some damage?

Calter even controlled his spells to change directions in mid-air but Brony is really a genius of his Clan. His power was above than even normal Magic Warriors

The youth's head started to hurt from activating spells continuously. Recklessly using his spells like that put a huge burden on his soul and his vision started to become blurry

Calter bit his tongue to recover his senses and continued to cast his spells but it doesn't have much effect. Brony finally reached Calter. He looked at the youth and was about to teach him a lesson with his sword when a huge pressure appeared out of nowhere

This pressure, made Brony to feel some weakness on his body.

"What's happening here?!" A thunderous voice rang in the banquet. The mana fluctuations attracted the Sternix Clan's Patriarch and he grew angry for whoever caused such a commotion on his banquet. It was like a slap on his face

If it was before, the Patriarch would be wary. The people who caused trouble might be a higher Nobility than him and he can't offend them. But now, things have changed. Their Clan has the City Lord's badge and even a Marquees Clan would give them some face

As long as it is a power from Soaring Magic City, the Sternix Clan doesn't have anyone to worry about. The City Lord himself is their backing. The City Lord is the most supreme being in the City, no one can shake his position as the only Grand Knight Mage!

The sea of people recognized Narry and make way for him. They didn't dare offend him not because of his strength but because of who was supporting their Clan

The news of his son Calter being favored by the City Lord and their servant becoming Otto's true disciple already spread in the entire City. The people from the City Lord's Manor even confirmed it

Narry walk towards the place where the commotion originated with arrogance. He thought that some Nobles are not satisfied with him for having such a high position with weak power and they want to bring trouble for him

Even if they are higher Nobility, Narry will not be afraid as they have the City Lord's badge. His authority was almost the same as the City Lord's with it

Narry's eyes widened in shock when seeing his son with pale face and a Mage that has the aura of a Magic Warrior with a sword on his hand as if he was about to slash Calter with it

Narry's paternal instincts kicked in and he quickly became furious. He is after all Calter's father. If his son was injured then so be it just like when Kalli hurt Calter. However, to see his own son come into harm personally, that is something that he cannot take!

"Bastard! What do you think you are doing to my son!" Narry's angry voice echoed everywhere

"S-son?" Brony gulped down a mouthful of saliva and slowly turned to look at the youth in front of him. He saw Calter smiling evilly at them

Brony clenched his jaws. He regretted making things hard for the youth he bumped earlier and being too unreasonable. His Clan reminded him to be courteous to the Sternix Clan but he actually offended them

However, Brony was also a descendant from one of the three Marquees Clan in the City and he always thought of himself as above everyone. He was dissatisfied with a weak Clan having such a high position and gaining the attention of many people

Calter suddenly attacking him ignited his fury further. If not for the City Lord, how can the Sternix Clan dare to antagonize him?

For him Calter was too unreasonable and petty for attacking him suddenly. That's why, even though his reason told him to apologize and not offend them but his superiority complex won over him

"I am just protecting myself. Your son was the one that attacked me first!" Brony said stubbornly and looked at Narry with a look of not backing down

Suddenly, Narry's pressure bore down on him. Magic Knights have their pride, they won't easily let Magic Warriors and below to act so presumptuous in front of them. Those Knights that does not have any backing will swallow the humiliation but Narry has a powerful backing now!

Even if you are a genius, you're still a weak Magic Warrior in front of a Knight!

"Apologize now or I'll teach you a lesson!" Narry threatened. He doesn't want to offend powerful Nobles but he needs to preserve his son and Clan's dignity!

"Your son should be the one to apologize to me for attacking me!" Brony replied not willing to surrender. His pride was already deep into his bones

"Good, good. Then don't blame me for my next actions!"

Since Brony won't apologize then Narry would make him!

Narry smashed his foot on the ground and his mana travelled underground and reached Brony's position. His mana caused a block of land to rose from the ground and hit Brony on his abdomen

Brony's mouth went wide open and his saliva flew out from it. If Narry was not merciful and didn't control the power behind his attack then that block of land can easily smash Brony's inner organs!
