Magic With You

"Y-you!" Brony cannot believe that a mere Patriarch of a Baron Clan dared to harm him. Even Viscount Clans won't attack him like that for the fear of offending a Marquees Clan

"H-How dare you!" Brony roared in anger due to his pride. A Baron Clan should be kneeling in front of him and begging for his forgiveness now

As Brony's physique was his greatest weapon, he easily recovered from the pain on his abdomen and stared at Narry furiously. "You a Baron Clan dared to offend a Marquees Clan, are you tired of living?!"

At normal times, the people around would agree on him. But it seems like Brony forgot the real backing of Sternix Clan

"Hmph! So, what if you are from a Marquees Clan? That doesn't mean you can hurt my son and leave unscathed here. What kind of father am I if I let you harm my son?!" Narry said coldly. He was still a father, at least in front of him he won't let anyone injured Calter

"Your son is a piece of garbage and as his father you're also a garbage!"

Crease lines appeared on Narry's forehead for being insulted like that. "Then let me show you what this garbage can do to you!"

No matter how good natured a person is if someone insult you and your child how can you not retaliate if you have the ability to?

Narry waved his hand and another block of land rose from the ground hitting Brony's abdomen again. Just like before, Brony's mouth went wide open with his saliva flying from his mouth

Brony ignored the pain and used his broadsword to smash the block of rock. However, he was just about to swing his sword when another block of land hit him on his side

Narry started venting his anger and blocks of land hit Brony's body one after another. Brony should already be thankful that Narry was giving him mercy, if not, then he would already turn into a lifeless body

The arrogant man was played by Narry and violet colored bruises appeared all over his body. If he was not wearing any clothes, it would be a bit disgusting if someone saw it

Every time the man wanted to speak, he was always interrupted and can only brace himself from the pain all over him. The only sound that can be heard around was rocks hitting one's body. No one dared to say anything or stop them

Brony is from a Marquees Clan and his position was quite high. Narry on the other hand has the backing of the City Lord. Neither of them was not someone they can offend and they resort into keeping their silence

"Hmph!" At this time, a snort filled with concealed anger rang on the ears of everyone present. Another overbearing pressure descended but the target was mostly Narry

Narry can feel some sort of oppression bearing down on him. He stopped attacking Brony and turned to look at the source of the pressure

Narry saw a middle age man a few years older than him looking straightly at him with a hint of warning on his eyes. "Sternix Patriarch, please give my Khan Clan some face or else...."

"F-Father!" Brony's eyes lit up when he saw the middle age man. It was his father and an Elder of their Clan. His strength was far above Narry's power. Even though they are both Magic Knights but even in the same level there are the weak and powerful ones

Narry is one at the weaker ones while his father was on the stronger side. Even among the Elders in Khan Clan, his father has quite a high statusl

Narry's eyes turned cold from the arrogance of this man. Instead of trying to fix things he actually threatened Narry on his own home ground! This is just too arrogant and clearly not giving Narry a face

It seems like, Khan Clan is one of the dissatisfied Nobility to Sternix Clan's rose to power. They are different than Hale Clan who made a partnership with Sternix

Hale Clan is the only Marquees Clan that can adapt and are flexible on many situations. They are not as narrow-minded as Khan and Shan Clan

"Are you threatening me in my own home?!" Narry might be weaker but no one in the City has more powerful backing than he is. The City Lord favored Calter and Kence even became his True Disciple. These two people are from the Sternix Clan. Even if Kence was not a blood descendant of the Clan but his relationship with Calter can even beat those that are completely blood related!

Brony's father face changed. For him he was already merciful that he didn't immediately attack Narry who was hurting his son. Who would have thought that Narry will bite back on him?

"Sternix Patriarch don't be too arrogant!"

The tension in the air rose another level from the confrontation of the two. The other Nobles around moved even further away as to not antagonize any of the two party

"I'm not being arrogant! I just asked for your son's apology yet he didn't give it to us. If I didn't come in time, my son would be in great harm! A Magic Warrior attacking a Magic Apprentice, isn't that too shameless?! I already gave your Clan some face by not injuring your son much!"

The middle age man narrowed his eyes and look at his son. He wasn't present when the incident happened but even the he won't let his son be 'wronged' by a mere Baron Clan

"You hurt my son yet you act like you're the righteous one! I won't let this matter slide. You should give me some explanation or else you'll see that a Marquees Clan is not something to be mess with!" He said, threatening Narry again. His confidence came from his own power and the power behind him

Sternix Clan only has one Magic Knight, he might not be able to harm them directly because of the City Lord but he can use some underhanded tactics. The City Lord might not necessarily retaliate as long as his true disciple wasn't come into harm, right?

"This is stupid!" Suddenly, a voice from someone they least expected rang on their ears. They turned their eyes on the youth who was keeping his silent before

They saw Calter pointing his wand at Brony. His mana already gathered on the tip of his wand and his eyes were full of undisguised killing intent

"[Dark Magic: Darkness Ball!]" Five balls of acid were shot from Calter's wand hitting all over Brony's body and melting his clothes to his skin

If Brony was at his peak, he can easily dodge or block Calter's spell but he was currently feeling pain all over his body from the bruises he got

"AAAAHHH!" A miserable scream escape from the man's mouth as his skin was being burned by the acid on his body. His father was not able to stop Calter's spell as he didn't think that Calter will suddenly attack

"Brony!" His father called his name and immediately went to his side to help him. Mana flowed out from the middle age man's hand dispelling the mana from Calter's spell

Brony's father looked at Calter angrily just to see and satisfied and craze look on the youth. It's like Brony's scream of agony was something that can give him extreme joy

Sensing that the situation is not good, Narry immediately went to his son's side. He was afraid that Brony's father will lose his mind and attack Calter

"You actually hurt my son. Good! Good! If you have a death wish then I'll give it to you!"

The man's anger exploded and a fire red wand appeared on his hand

Narry's face changed as this is not a good sign. "Step back!" Narry ordered to his son and Calter obediently moved away. His power was still weak and he doesn't have the ability to fight a Magic Knight

Narry's earthen brown wand also appeared on his hand and the aura of two Knights clashed with each other. However, Narry is on the losing end as his opponent's aura was powerful than him

"[Fire Magic: Burning Claw!]" An animalistic claw made from huge amount of condensed fire formed in front of the mage and he shot it on Calter's direction. If it lands on Calter he would die without a doubt

"[Earth Magic: Earth Wall!]" Narry pointed his wand on the ground and an earthen wall rose from it to block the fire spell

Unfortunately, Narry's magical achievement was inferior than his opponent and the earth wall was blasted open by the burning claw. The fire claw loses a lot of mana in the process and Narry made another wall of earth

Narry gritted his teeth as he needed to activate a spell twice just to block a single spell of his opponent. If this goes on, the burden on his soul would pile up until he can't activate another spell again

"Tch" the middle age man made an annoyed sound and look at Narry haughtily. "Your son hurt mine, isn't it fair that I also hurt him?"

Narry sneered. What a joke! Calter's attack only caused some burns on Brony but if his son was attacked by a spell that powerful then Calter will die without a doubt!

"You can't hurt my son without dealing with me first!" Narry's paternal instincts kicked in and the only thing on his mind now was to protect Calter

Calter looked at his father and his heart warmed a bit. As of now, he can at least see how a father should act

"Is that so?" Brony's father said with a ridiculing tone. From their initial exchange it was clear to see how Narry was in disadvantage. If they had a couple of exchange that outcome was pretty obvious

He might not be able to kill Narry or Calter as someone will probably stop him. It can be the people from Hale Clan or Knights from the City Lord's force but he can at least vent his anger by thrashing with Narry

"[Earth Magic: Earth Spikes!]" Narry pointed his wand on the ground around his opponent and Brony's father hastily jumped away

Who would have thought that Narry will attack him and not passively defend himself? It seems like the man has quite a bit of fighting skills and very similar to Calter's ways

"Hmph! [Fire Magic: Fire Birds!]" Seven small birds made from fire formed around him and the middle age man waved his wand into Narry's direction

The fire birds obediently flew to Narry wanting to burn him. "[Earth Magic: Earth Wall!]"

Another wall of earth was made by Narry to block the birds but his opponent was skillful. The birds changed their directions in mid-air and flew into two separate directions

The two groups of fire birds flew on each side of the earthen wall. Four fire birds were flying from Narry's right while the other three was on his left

Narry gritted his teeth and tried to run away and pull the distance between them to give himself some time to activate a spell

"[Earth Magic: Rock Balls!]" Narry quickly formed balls of rocks and use those rocks to hit the fire birds. However, his spell's power and casting speed was still weaker than his opponent and he was not able to destroy all of the fire birds

Two of the birds landed on his body and the smell of burnt flesh rose in the air. "Argh!" Narry groaned from pain and glared at Brony's father from afar. Fortunately, he coated his skin with a layer of mana but it used up a lot of his mana reserves. There's no helping it, he used mana in a hasty manner causing a lot of it to go to waste and even then, he was not able to fully defend himself

Fortunately, the other Nobles gave them enough space before. If not, some of them might be injured or worst Narry won't have any space to move around

Brony's father was about to activate another spell again when an oppressive aura much more powerful than the man or Narry can let out, descended down on all the people present

The intensity was much higher than any pressure that Magic Knights have. This can only mean one thing. The source of pressure reached a Rank higher than Magic Knights

The source is a Grand Knight!

"What do you think you are doing Bonny?"

The calm and gentle voice of the City Lord entered their ears. It sounded gentle but it was like a silent volcano before it exploded
