Bonny which is Brony's father body stiffened. He can feel chills all over his body. It's like one wrong move of his will result on his death. Bonny turned his head and saw an old man full of white hairs gently walking. All of the people's eyes around were looking at that old man

The youths who doesn't recognize the City Lord didn't dare to make any sound at seeing the reactions of their Elders. Those that recognize the City Lord on the other hand felt pity towards Bonny and the Khan Clan

The old man didn't wear any fancy clothing but his whole body was oozing with authority. This is due to him being the number one authoritative figure in the entire Soaring Magic City for years

The City Lord's hands were on his back as he stared at Bonny with an emotionless face

"C-City Lord!" All of Bonny's arrogance dissipated and was replaced with fear. The news of Crane Clan's demise naturally spread in the City. Normal Nobility Clans were terrified to death. However, the Marquees Clans although felt fear but not as much as those Clans

All Marquees Clans have a lot of Magic Knights in their Clan. Even if the City Lord was offended by them, he won't necessarily exterminate their Clan. Otto is the Main Pillar of the City but the Marquees Clans are the sub-pillars.

Bonny can't believe that the legendary figure of the City will actually come on this kind of event. The City Lord hates crowded places and this Banquet was something that a mere Baron Clan organized. Even in the important Banquets of Marquees Clans the City lord didn't grace his presence

Although he was afraid from the pressure coming from the City Lord, Bonny still knows what to do. He bowed his head respectfully showing subservience. "Greetings City Lord!"

Instead of returning the greetings, Otto's countenance turned cold. "I asked you a question"

A gulping sound was made by Bonny's throat, the coldness he felt on his body intensifies. "I-I was just seeking justice for my son, City Lord!"

Bonny gritted his teeth as if he really offended the City Lord today his and his son position on the Clan will receive a drastic change. They might not be afraid of being exterminated but the City Lord can suppress them in many ways!

"Bullshit!"

The people around took a sharp breath and stared at Calter as if he was a monster. A Knight and Grand Knight was talking yet he dared to utter such words. They don't know if he was brave or stupid

"Shut up!" Bonny shouted in anger. He and the City Lord has the power and position yet a junior dared to act like that

"What if I don't? Are you going to kill me just like how your Clan always do?" Calter retorted. He wasn't even concealing his anger and killing intent. It was bare for everyone to see

The City Lord narrowed his eyes while looking at Calter. From their limited interactions, he knew that Calter is not someone that acts rashly. However, the anger on his eyes was burning fiercely. It's like he will explode any minute

His body was trembling a bit while he is clenching his fist hard enough to force out his blood. His eyes turned even angrier when he was looking at Bronny. It was clear to everyone that if Calter has the power, he won't hesitate to kill

This kind of anger is something that's hard to fake. One will only act like this if they hated the person to the bones

"Presumptuous! How dare you accuse me and my Noble Clan?!" For Bonny, being part of Shan Clan is a huge honor! He was thankful to be born from such a powerful family and even become one of the Elders

A cold laughter filled with contempt echoed inside the Banquet and all eyes returned to the City Lord. It was like he heard the funniest and most disgusting thing in the world

"Your Clan is Noble? Hahaha! Don't make me laugh!" The City Lord scanned the people around with a cold eye. Whenever his eyes looked at someone, that person will immediately feel some chills and their bodies will shudder from the cold

"Who among the Noble Clan is clean? Even I won't claim that I am fair and just! With high power and authority who won't abuse it? Are you telling us that the Khan Clan is just and proper to not abuse their power even once?"

Every word coming from the City Lord was like a knife stabbing on all of their chest. He was straightforward and didn't sugarcoat his words. True, even Baron Clans have dirt in them. They have the feeling of superiority when looking at the commoners. They felt like they are the blessed child of heavens!

Whether it be killing, abuse, bullying, oppression and all sorts of deprived acts there are members of the Clan that will do that. It was laughable to claim the one's Clan is clean and doesn't have any dirt in them

Even Otto shamelessly said that he's not partial. He really is someone that doesn't care about his image and reputation!

Bonny opened his mouth and tried to say something but no words come out from him. What the City Lord said was something that he cannot refute. He knew deep inside him the acts of him and his fellow clansmen

"Hmph! Trying to act pure heh how laughable!"

Bonny glared at Calter who was so fearless to say anything that he wants but the latter only stared at him evilly before arrogantly pointing his wand at him

"[Dark Magic: Darkness Ball!]" Calter wants to activate stronger spells but his current mana was running low. He used a huge chunk of it by bombarding Bronny with his spells before to the point his soul started to ache

Five balls of acid appeared in front of Calter's wand and it all flew on Bonny's direction. This fueled Bonny's anger once more as he made a mana barrier in front of him to block the weak spell

It was not even a proper defensive spell but merely a barrier made from raw mana. Calter smirked and the balls changed their directions. Instead of attacking Bonny, it actually changed the target to his son Brony!

No one saw this coming as they all thought Calter's spell won't even leave a dent on Bonny's barrier. Brony was still in pain and didn't thought that Calter will attack him again with the presence of the City Lord

Acid once again made contact with Brony and everyone can hear a sizzling sound. The pain from the acid increase the pain that the young man is feeling all over his body. The acid can't kill him but it brought him great pain!

Brony stared at Calter hatefully before using the mana inside him to dispel the acid

"Bastard!" Bonny can't contain his anger anymore from seeing a mere Magic Apprentice attack his son not once but twice with his presence

The father pointed his wand at Calter while gathering his mana around it but he felt a burst of coldness on his lower area. He lowered his head and saw that his whole leg was frozen and he can't break free from it

Bonny turned his head back to the City Lord. Only him can make him this helpless. "City Lord, what is the meaning of this? You saw him attacking my son. Am I supposed to turn a blind eye on this?!"

Bonny questioned, although he was still respectful on his tone but one can feel the anger beneath it

"I told you, I'm not fair and just. I like Calter and I won't let you hurt him. Of course, I won't let him kill your son but a little lesson won't be that bad. Besides, I don't think Calter will kill his hated enemy by borrowing someone's power, right?"

Calter smiled at the City Lord. This old man really knew him well

Bonny's face darkened at seeing how the City Lord acted so unfairly. He doesn't realize that he's also unfair on other people, although not as openly as the City Lord did. One will oppress other people without feeling guilt but when they are the ones that got oppressed, they will feel so much anger that they didn't know what to do with it

Another burst of coldness came out from the City Lord and almost completely froze Brony's body. The pain on the young man's body subsided by a bit but was replaced by a huge chilling sensation that made his whole body numb

Calter, like a demon enjoying his prey's sufferings smiled maniacally and walked at Brony slowly. The sound of every step he takes was like the footsteps of a demon, torturing Brony's mind

"C-City Lord don't be like this! Please give our Khan Clan some face!" Bonny can't let his son be humiliated by a mere Magic Apprentice in front of him and decided to use his Clan even though it doesn't have much effects on Otto

"Then please give my position as the City Lord some face and let Calter do what he wants. I don't know what happened but knowing how you arrogant Nobles act you surely did something to anger him! Bear the consequences of your actions!"

The City Lord's unreasonableness was too much for everyone to handle and some even almost fainted on the spot. They knew that the City Lord didn't act in a conventional way but this is just way too much!

This kind of bullying and abuse of power was even beyond how Nobles did things. They would at least not do it directly and openly like this

Calter finally reached the front of Brony. As Calter is only fifteen years old and Brony is already twenty, the former was naturally shorter but the older man felt that Calter is like a towering demon ready to make him suffer

"What an ugly face" Calter said with disgust and put his fingers on his chin as if he was thinking of something

'Ugly? You are ugly! Your whole family is ugly!' Brony cursed on his mind but didn't dare voice it out. As one of the Mage geniuses on his Clan, he has high intelligence. He doesn't know why Calter hated him like this but he knew that if say something that will make the youth angrier, he would have an even more miserable fate

Calter's face lit up as if he suddenly thought of something. "Why don't we make it even uglier?" Calter said with smiles on his face while pointing his wand at Brony's face

A ball of acid formed in front of his wand and he slowly leaned it closer to Brony's face. Everyone, including Narry, Bonny, Kence and even the City Lord's eyes went wide open

They can't help but gasp at how ruthless Calter is. The impression of him being a demon was now imprinted on their minds. Him acting like an innocent kid yet will do something that horrible made their hearts to turn cold

"W-wait!" Brony protested while staring fearfully at the acid and Calter. He now deeply regretted his past actions causing him to end up in this kind of situation

Hiisss!

The acid ball finally made a contact with Brony's face and the sizzling sounds it made terrified everyone. This kind of ruthlessness was beyond what they imagined!

"AAAAHHHHH!!!" Brony screamed like a squealing pig about to be slaughtered

"Bastard! Bastard!" Bonny raised his wand again to stop Calter's cruel action but his hand literally froze in mid-air

"City Lord! Can't you see his actions? This kind of demon shouldn't exist in this world!"

Although Otto felt that Calter's actions were too much but the youth probably has a reason for that. It was best to sacrifice one or two people than to be forced to exterminate a whole Marquees Clan

Otto knew that sooner or later; the Khan Clan will die from Calter's hands but now is not the right time.. It will affect the overall power of the City. Before Calter gained the power to fight against a Clan that powerful, it was better to let him have them suffer for a bit
