With a sadistic smile on his face, Calter literally tear the mask on his face that disguises his aura and made his body to look sickly. The former pale face and body of his regained its vitality and even his posture was filled with overbearingness. The aura of a level 3 Magic Apprentice also vanished and was replaced by an aura from a Level 4 Magic Apprentice

The mask vanished and was place inside his spatial ring while a stick like black wand appeared on his hand. It was the wand that his mother gave him. "Why don't we start?" Calter said while smirking

The Shan Clan gritted their teeth and thought of how stupid they are to be deceived. They felt more hateful to the City Lord than Calter. This thing won't happen after all if Otto didn't support the Sternix Clan. But of course, they won't dare show too much aggressiveness towards the City Lord

"Very good, very good! But don't think you will defeat us because of this little trick of yours!" Kel said hatefully before clapping his hands

From the Shan Clan crowd, a fifteen year old youth emerge with an eyepatch on his right eye. His body exuded the aura of a Level 9 Magic Apprentice although it was unstable. This youth was the only person who hated Calter more than the City Lord

He may look like a genius for reaching such a Rank despite being only a fifteen year old but he didn't gain this power through hard work and cultivation!

The Shan Clan gave him purified magic crystals to absorb. Normally, one can really use purified crystals to reach the peak of Magic Apprentice in the shortest time. But it will still take some time. Now that he use the crystals to boost his rank at the peak of Magic Apprentice in such a short time, it left damages on his body. He can still comprehend magic theories but making his body stronger and purer will be harder than ever

One does not only need high magic comprehension, they also need to take care of their bodies as it is the vessel of their mana. He can't advance to Magic Warrior and above if he can't strengthen his body which is much harder now

This naturally made him hate Calter to the bones for destroying his future. The only up side of it was that in their fight, killing your opponent is allowed! He will make sure to inflict as much suffering he can give to Calter before finally killing him

The City Lord and the other's faces changed. They originally have the confidence on Calter but now seeing a Peak Magic Apprentice made them angry

The Shan Clan was really hateful, who would have thought that they are too crafty and evil to destroy the future of their own clan member. It clearly showed how much they prioritize benefits than their own family

"Calter...." Emily looked at her son with worry. She didn't thought that the tables would be flipped even before the fight starts. But instead of seeing fear or anger, they only saw Calter laughing wildly

"HAHAHAHAH!" There was no fear or anxiety on him. It was just like he heard the funniest thing in the world

If it was before, Calter would really have to fear a Level 9 Magic Apprentice but not now when he's already a Level 4 Magic Apprentice. He is also sure that his opponent doesn't have the magic comprehension of normal mages at his rank. Aside from having more mana than Calter this youth from the Shan Clan doesn't have anything much!

In terms of mana, although Calter is at disadvantage but he has mana a bit more than Level 7 Mages. If a level 1 Magic Apprentice has one unit of mana and it will multiply by two every level then a level 4 has 8 units of mana. 8 units of mana times ten is 80, that's a bit more than level 7 Mages that has an initial 64 units of mana

Calter's mana was still not enough to form Level 7 Magic Marks but forming marks of Level 6 and below is not a problem. And his level 6 Spells has the power of Level 8 ones. What does he need to fear?

His opponent can't possibly use Level 9 Spells while Calter can use spells that has the power of level 8 but only has the difficulty of level 6. One can say that Calter's power is too much of a cheat and will question one's common sense in this world

If he will always have ten times of mana than normal people then for every stage he broke through, the increase of power was too overwhelming and no one at the same rank as his can possibly win. Well, except for those who have higher comprehension than him and stronger souls. If their spell casting was fast enough they can kill him without letting him use any spell

But Calter is a former Rank 3 Mage, the highest rank that everyone have ever achieved. Although his soul was still not as strong than him at his peak but it was more powerful than most people. At least, in the Magic Apprentice Rank he was almost confident that he doesn't have anyone he can lose to

"Just with him?" Calter said disdainfully. "Less talk, more action!" Calter became impatient now and wants to start this fight to wipe away the arrogance of the Shan Clan

"Hmph! Let's see if you can still stay arrogant after this!" Kel scoffed before he waved his hand and gave space for the fight that was about to happen

Calter's side also did the same and backed off a bit. They are worried about Calter but what can they do now? They already swore to the God of Order. They can't back out on their words

"I will kill you!" Calter's opponent said with full of malice before removing his eyepatch and opened his eyelids. As soon as he did so, it revealed his all black eye balls and some lines appeared around his eyes

His right eye has a sinister feel on it and contained darkness mana but it was too impure and dirty

"B-body modification!" Otto said angrily while glaring at the Shan Clan. At this time, all the people on Calter's side felt that they are the ones that were deceived. Mages who can't advance in rank would sometimes make human research. If it was successful without much side effects, they will use it on themselves

The failed products on the other hand will either be killed or left alive but they will turn into a hideous monster. Most of them even when they are failures but still possessed stronger power than normal. But of course there would be side effects like becoming hideous looking, insanity, needs to eat something to sustain their lives, or unable to advance on their whole life

Calter's opponent although didn't become too hideous aside from his right eye but the side effect on him was he won't be able to further advance his rank in the future. He wouldn't dare retaliate on his clan if he still wants to continue living and can only direct all of his anger to Calter

This time, even Calter's face has a changed on it. His opponent's power might even rival those of a Magic Warrior with the body modification that was done on him. A Magic Warrior opponent is still too much for him to fight.

"How devious!" Narry cursed and his worry for his son grew. The Shan Clan was really too shameless, if it was before, they can still stop the fight but now they can't!

Their own plan backfired on them!

"Hahahaha! Let's start n--!" Kel said with a sickening laughter but Calter interrupted him

If they are shameless then Calter is also shameless. He doesn't have that heroic mind that wants to fight in a proper way despite being in this situation. Kel wasn't even finished talking when Calter already casted a spell

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Warriors!]"

Calter pointed his wand on the ground and a few meters large Summoning Circle appeared and from it five skeleton warriors emerged

His opponent was shocked at how Calter activated a spell when he still wasn't ready and was waiting for the Shan Patriarch to finish announcing the start of fight. This made Calter to seize the chance and summoned another group of five skeletons

Ten skeleton warriors with power comparable to level 4 Magic Beast might not be a match for the Shan youth but it will also take some time for him to finish these skeletons. And time is what Calter needed the most

Calter moved further away to increase the distance between him and his opponent before activating another spell. It was still a summoning magic but this time it wasn't skeleton warriors

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Archers!]" Calter shouted and pointed his wand at a further area and from the summoning circle five skeletons holding bone bows on their hands appeared

Skeleton Archers are level 6 Spells but the difficulty and power was the same as summoning Skeleton Warriors. Mages doesn't know why but although the mana, spell difficulty, and power of the skeletons archers are the same as skeleton warriors but they can only summon them when they reached Level 6 magic apprentice. That is why Calter was shock at the knowledge engraved on his core. It enable him to bypass the restriction and summoned skeleton archers

If even him was this shocked, what more the other people around? They thought that their common sense was being twisted

Calter only activated such a spell because there is no risk on him. With the benefits of having him and being his parents, Narry and Emily won't have evil thoughts on him. The City Lord can't harm him in any way and the Shan Clan will be his slaves after he won. The only problem was Nan but it can be easily solved by forcing him to also take an oath under the God of Order's power

These archers also have the power of level 4 Magic Beast but with their long distance fighting style they will pose more threat than the skeleton warriors

Now, Calter realized why his mother gave him such a wand. It actually amplified his spell power up to fifteen percent! Although it doesn't look much now but if he become a Rank 3 Mage again, it will be a great weapon!

The skeletons he summoned are even slightly stronger than normal Level 4 Beasts

At the same time that the ten skeleton warriors charged at him, the Shan youth squeeze out his pent-up anger and his black eyeballs shone with a dark light

His body suddenly bulge and swell making it bigger than before. The lines around his eyes also spread and covered half of his face

The youth's mana gathered and covered his fist. He swung his fist aggressively on one of the skeletons and it only took one punch to shatter that skeleton's skull. The soul fire inside the skeleton was immediately extinguished causing it to die and dissipate into black colored specks of light

Calter's face had a dramatic change again. He thought he can slowly kill the Shan youth with the Skeleton archers. Even Magic Warriors that doesn't focused on body strengthening only has a slightly stronger body than normal people after all. Even a Rank 0 Level 1 Spell can kill if you let it hit you head on

But now, seeing the change on his opponent's body made him sure that it was not a normal body. It might even be as hard as metals

The difficulty of winning suddenly rose because of that

But Calter didn't let the situation to faze him much and focused on his spell casting. He can only slowly accumulate damage on his opponent until he die! He won't believe that the Shan youth having that durable body is permanent as he needs to activate the power on his right eye first

"[Dark Summon Magic: Skeleton Warriors!]" Another five skeletons were summon by Calter. The Shan youth's speed of killing five skeletons was slower than how Calter can summon

Although that was the case, the people rooting for him was still filled with anxiety. For them Calter is just a genius Level 4 Magic Apprentice that is somehow able to summon skeleton archers
