The Shan youth was angered by the amount of cannon fodders that Calter summoned and his eyes flickered with a dark light. His mana gathered above his palm and threw it on Calter who was now a bit far from him. This gave the skeletons a chance to attack him. The skeleton warriors closest to him managed to slash him with their swords but the strength behind these sword slash was too weak to heavily injure him and only caused superficial wounds

Even then, he was still harmed and if enough small injuries were inflicted on him, he would die. The skeleton archers also shot the bone arrows they condensed but their marksmanship was too lacking and didn't hit the youth in any vital location. The power behind the arrows also weren't that powerful to pierce too deep

Fortunately, Calter just finished summoning skeletons and he used their bodies to protect himself and run farther away. The skeletons were blown away by the black ball and their bodies were destroyed. The burning black fire on their eye sockets were extinguished and they dissipated into black specks of light

A mage almost bordering the power of Magic Warriors is really powerful! But no, at this time the Shan youth is not a mage anymore. He just used mana in a raw fashion to make attacks. He didn't manipulate and apply magical theories on that black ball at all and instead just used the power coursing through his body

A being like this although gained more power but his future was already finished. He has no hope of advancing now, that's why he really hated Calter

Calter naturally won't sympathize on him and just focused on fighting. He summoned another group of skeletons while still running. His casting skill was really top-notch! It was unbelievable for Magic Apprentices to cast spells while moving and having the same ease as he has

Calter stopped running after he judge that their distance is far enough. If the Shan youth wants to attack him, he need to get closer to Calter. Even if he use long distance attacks, with this distance Calter can easily dodge. Besides, the Shan youth can't control his attack's trajectory and it can only travel in a straight line

As soon as five skeleton warriors were summoned, Calter immediately summoned skeleton archers. Although they can't deal much damage, but with the amount of mana he has, he can drown the Shan youth with a river of skeletons

He won't be able to get close to Calter at all!

"Bastard!" The Shan youth said while gritting his teeth. For him, Calter is too devious to use this kind of tactic on him. Although tens of skeletons were not a problem for him to deal but he will still take some damage and he needs some time

But even then, he thought that Calter was just trying to prolong the fight. Just how much mana a level 4 Magic Apprentice can have? It was surprising how he can summon this much skeletons but he must be at his limits now

Calter's mind started thinking of what he should do now. Should he keep spamming low level spells or activate Level 6 Spells that has the power of Level 8?

His opponent was not normal after all, it was hard to penetrate that body enough to kill him. Casting Level 6 Spells will also used up a lot of his mana, he never thought that there would be a day where he will have a problem in terms of mana after becoming a core mage

"Wait, I only need to buy some time" Calter already realized before that his opponent's current state was only brought by using the power on his eye. It wasn't a permanent state and more like a power up skill. If he bought enough time, the state will automatically cancelled

Thinking of this, Calter smirked before summoning yet another group of five skeletons. He doesn't care about a fair and just victory, the only thing that matters is that he will win!

The youth cursed his patriarch inside him but still obeyed and his attacks become more aggressive. He didn't care about power preservation at all and shoot his mana attacks non-stop. A single attack was a sure kill when it hit the skeletons and black specks of light appeared around him

The area of effect attacks made the speed of killing skeletons to exceed the speed in which Calter can summon them. Calter wasn't afraid though and continued summoning skeletons while moving around.

Even if the youth kills the skeletons around him, he would still be delayed as the next group of skeletons were a bit farther away but was still on Calter's direction. If he wants to get close to Calter, he first needs get pass these cannon fodders of skeletons

The City Lord almost lose consciousness on the spot. He dedicated his whole life in magic and although he's not the same mage type as Calter but he is still knowledgeable! He felt his common sense being destroyed by Calter

Whether it be casting skill, speed, or the amount of mana he has, all of it were too abnormal! No other level 4 Magic Apprentice was like this

If Calter didn't have the aura of level 4 Magic Apprentice he would really believe that the youth is a Magic Warrior! This is just too much for his old heart to take!

"What are you doing? Kill him now!" The anxiety that Kel has just grew with this scene

"[Dark Magic: Ink Spray!]" From Calter's wand a black light was shot and he made sure to make this spell as fast as possible. And since even the Shan youth didn't anticipated this, he was hit directly in the eye.

The youth doesn't have a choice but to close his eyes and use rub it to remove the ink. But since, it was shot directly on his eyes, it was hard to remove and gave him a temporary blindness

The ink only covered his left eye but Calter almost laugh on the spot. It seems like the youth really lose vision on the right eye. Probably one of the reasons why he wore an eyepatch before

Calter used this chance to once again increase the distance but this time he didn't summon more skeletons for the time being

Calter's body is already very sweaty and even his soul ache. The fight might look like a breeze to him but it was very taxing!

He can feel as if his legs were on fire and he needs to stop spell casting for some time if he doesn't want to worsen his condition. If his soul was not strengthened by devouring dungeon cores, he would surely be in a much worst state now. Continuous spell casting is very taxing. If Calter's spell casting speed is lower, then his soul won't ache this bad. But he doesn't have a choice but to cast spells in a fast speed if he don't want to lose

The people around on the other hand almost spat out some blood. What is shameless? This is shameless!

Ink spray isn't even an attacking spell, it's more of a child's trick. Who would have thought that it can actually be use like this? This made their admiration for Calter to rose, even the Shan Elders can't help but praised at Calter's skill

Shooting ink straight on one's eye, sounds easy but it wasn't! One must have great accuracy to do that. Even the slightest deviation of the spell in the air will change the spell's direction. It was hard for other mages to do the same trick he did. It was a shameless act but the skills behind it was superb!

"Idiot! What are you doing? How many times I need to tell you to finish that brat now!" Cold sweats already formed on Kel's forehead. Nothing goes like how he imagined things will be

If they really lose, then his Clan would be slaves of Calter! Not just normal slaves, but slaves that can never defy their master. If they disobeyed him and Calter decided to take their lives, it wasn't just a normal death but death from the God of Order's power. Rumors said that one will not like the death they will experience

The skeleton archers from the distance that the Shan youth wasn't able to kill didn't stand idly and shot their bone arrows causing little injuries

When another ten seconds passed, he used the remaining time to pull some distance again and run around while summoning yet another group of five skeletons

When the Shan youth finally removed the ink on his eyes, he used his hand to crushed the skeletons around that is attacking him. As soon as the skeletons were killed, he madly sprinted on Calter's direction without caring about anything else

Hs whole body was covered by black colored energy giving him a fiendish look. His eyes were filled with madness as he felt like he was humiliated enough. Not only he was turned into a monster, he also can't do anything to Calter who made his Clan to turn him like this

Calter's eyes flashed with panic as the Shan youth ignored the skeletons on the way but he immediately regained his calm as if no one was madly rushing on his position

"[Dark Magic: Black Boots!]" Calter forced his aching soul to activate a Level 6 Spell and his speed was boosted a lot. A level 6 Spell of his has the power of a Level 8 Spell and the Shan youth won't reach him in a short time

But this made his soul to ache some more and used up a huge chunk of his mana. After all, summoning more than ten groups of skeletons also uses a lot of his mana
