"I'll also ask the priest to heal you" Otto said to Kence but the youth just shake his head

"No need for that, Teacher" Kence declined. He might not know a lot of things in this world but it was common sense that the fee for being healed by a priest is expensive! He felt that he's not worth of such an expensive price

"I insist. Besides, Calter will pay for it. You saved his life, he would gladly pay for it"

However, hearing that Calter that will pay for it just made Kence even more unwilling to be healed by a priest. How can he let his master pay such an expensive price?

"No, really. I'm fine now. I can't let my young master to spend so much on me" Kence said while shaking his head repeatedly which made the people around to sigh helplessly at him. His servant mentality still never changed, this made them to pity Calter a bit. It seems like he still needs a lot of time to fully make Kence his. The youth was really too naive

Emily went to Kence's side and hold the latter's hand which made the youth shock and not know how to react. Perhaps, of all the years that he lived in the Sternix Clan, this is the first time that Kence and Emily had a physical contact

"Listen, Kence. You are not our servant. You are someone important to our son, Calter. Don't treat us as people you need to serve, we are your family now"

Her gentle words touched Kence's heart causing the youth to tear up

Family... family..... family

Such an unfamiliar yet familiar term to Kence. He was so young when the Sternix Clan took him. He doesn't even remember his parents or if he had parents. He just appeared out of nowhere and the next thing he knew, Narry took him to the Sternix Clan which he spent all of his life

Hearing that he is a family, warmed Kence's heart but he really spent his whole life thinking of himself as a servant. How can he easily adapt to these changes?

"N-no way.... f-family that's...." Emily placed one of her fingers on Kence's trembling lips. "Sshh, don't think like that. You are part of the family, that will never change"

Kence bit his lower lip, he wants to protest and insist of his servant status but his tears never stopped falling down from his eyes. If he spoke even a single word, he knows that he will just choke

"Now, after the priest arrived here, they will treat your wounds okay?" Emily said with that gentle and soothing voice of hers

Kence can only nod his head while crying. Seeing the youth who can't stop himself from crying aroused Emily's maternal instinct and pulled Kence on her embrace

She already treated Kence as her son's future spouse, this made the youth as also her son and she will naturally treat him well

Kence wants to stop himself from crying as he don't want to soaked the Madame's clothes with his tears. But somehow, this was like the first time he felt maternal love and the waterfalls never ceased to fall

Narry also decided to join them and went to pat the youth on his back

Time passed but Kence still didn't stopped crying and he only stopped when he actually fell asleep again. Emily and Narry then gently laid the youth on the bed next to their son

A warm and gentle smile hang on Otto's face. The scene was too touching for him. Just like Kence, he was an orphan. He doesn't have power or anything. This made him to pursue magic relentlessly

Before he knew it, he already broken through into a Grand Knight Mage and became the City Lord. After he became the supreme being in the City, he decided to name it as Soaring Magic City

Originally, he wants the name to be Soaring Ice Phoenix City because he's an ice mage and adored the legendary Ice Phoenix that was said to wield the highest kind of ice power. But that name is too arrogant, it will surely ire the annoyance of other more powerful cities

Thus, he resort to naming his City as Soaring Magic City, he wished that his citizens will soar to the skies and become legendary figures. Too bad that whether it be in talents or resources, his City was really lacking

Before, only Caizha has the potential to become a Grand Knight Mage like him. Then he met Kence and Calter who also has potential especially the latter

Otto didn't know that he was in too deep of a thought and no one spoke any word again after Kence fell asleep. Looking at the two sleeping peacefully made Otto to really cherished them

He vowed to himself that he'll support them to become Rank 3 Mages and really make his City to soar in the heavens. He's already old and it was hard for him to make any advancements but the younger generations are different!

He now has an idea on what he should do to the benefits he will get from harvesting the Tree Hearts. His original plan of buying magic knowledge changed into something new

A few hours passed and the priest finally arrived. In the Enchanted Star Realm there are three churches in total. First is naturally the God of Order that is perhaps the most well-known and famous in the powerful beings in the realm. Any agreement made through him will make it sure that the parties will comply on the agreement

The other two were the God of Darkness and God of Light. All three churches has Divine Priest that are adept in healing but the church that has the most powerful healer is naturally the priests from the Church of Light

The priest that arrived at the City Lord's Manor came from the Church of Light. Their fees are higher than the other Churches but they also have more effective healing skills

The City Lord naturally cannot allow the priest to see his underground special environment and arranged for Calter and Kence to be moved above

Narry carried his unconscious son while Emily gently woke Kence and they went to see the priest

The Priest from the Church of Light is exactly want one will think of him. He was an old man wearing an all white pure clothes as if he disdained dirtiness the most in this world

His hair was also white but it wasn't the white which one will have due to old age. It was a light like white. The Priest has that gentle and serene expression on his face which made him look very amicable

The Priest is accompanied by two middle-aged men on each of his side. The two were wearing the same white colored armor with golden engravings on it and they have serious expressions on their faces

These two are the Church of Light's Paladins. They have a strong body and if needed to fight, they used their bodies, sword, and the blessings from their God

The servants in the Manor treated these three with respect. Churches might not be the most powerful organization in the realm but they have a special place

Their Priests are sought by everyone for their healing powers. Also, a single church of them might only have a mediocre power in a certain City but they have lots of branches. Almost all Cities on the realm has at least one church for each God!

If the Church mobilized all of their powers then it was more than enough to contend on several Cities

Fortunately, most of the people in the church are kind. At least, that's what they showed to other people to gain more followers

When Kence's group finally arrived, the two groups greeted each other respectfully. Although Otto also believed that Gods are just powerful mages but he was still amazed on their healing skills. These priest can perform what it looks like as 'miracles'

Even a cut limb is possible to reconnect by them, although the price is astronomical that only few people can afford them. But that is something that healer mages cannot do!

Narry laid Calter on a big sofa, the youth's shoulder was still covered by ice to prevent further blood loss

"Please heal my son" Narry said to the Priest. The Priest nodded his head and showed a gentle smile. "With the God of Light's help, all injuries will be healed by his boundless power"

Narry only nodded his head. As a Mage, he is the same as Otto, believing that Gods are just more powerful mages. He doesn't really adore them that much and doesn't treat them as some real Gods

Instead of using a wand to amplify his power, the Priest only intertwined his own hands in front of him and closed his eyes before saying some prayers

After a few moments, he opened his eyes and a pure white light covered his hand. It was as pure and taint free as it can be. It's like, this light was really bestowed by a God due to how holy the aura it was radiating

Even a Grand Knight like Otto feels how weak and small he is in front of a God. The God itself didn't descend down and just gave this priest a very small fraction of his power but it was enough to overwhelm Otto

Of course, it doesn't mean that Priests are so much more powerful than mages. They are more powerful but not so powerful that no mages at their level can defeat them. But the way they gained more power was faster than mages if they perform well in their church

They don't need to rack their brains and study magic theories while making their soul more powerful along with their body. They only need to be more devoted and complete tasks, and in an instant they will have more powerful thanks to their God bestowing it to them

This made the Mages who sought to understand the world to look down a bit on them. But of course, they won't be openly hostile. Who knows if someday you become heavily injured and only a church can save you? If you angered them and they refuse to save your life, you can only blame yourself for your death

The light from the Priest's hand shone brightly and penetrated the ice that Otto made again before as if it was nothing. The wounds were still fresh and Otto was afraid that it will open up again when they moved Calter above ground

The light directly hit Calter's shoulder wound and one can see how his broken bones reconnected at a rate visible to the eyes

A Priest's healing process was also painless. Even if they forcefully reconnect your bones, you won't even feel a thing. Unlike healer mages where some injuries are painful to heal

In just a matter of few minutes, Calter's heavy injuries were almost healed now. At most, it will take a few days for full recovery

Kence's eyes shone seeing that his master was healed this fast and went to the Priest's side

"Sir, thank you very much for healing my master!" Kence said full of gratitude. The Priest was taken aback a bit at how pure and innocent the youth's eyes were before giving Kence a warm smile

"Haha kid, no need to thank me. I will get paid for it, a thanks is unnecessary" the Priest said dismissing Kence's overly gratified attitude. It made him a bit embarrassed as he didn't do it for free after all

However, Kence just shook his head. "I'm still thankful for you, sir" the Priest can only smile bitterly while his face flushed with red tint

"Priest, can you also heal him? He has injuries on his chest" Otto said and the Priest nodded his head

"Of course, of course. I'll also give discount for this kid" the Priest said before he tried to pat Kence's head but the kid dodged him

Kence's sudden movement brought great pain on his chest but although it made his eyes teary, he decided to ignore it and explain himself for his rude actions

He saw how astonished the Priest is and thought that he made the person who healed his master mad

"Sir, I'm s-sorry, I-I didn't mean to be rude but.... only my master touches my hair" Kence said with an apologetic tone.. He really doesn't like other people touching his head because he doesn't like his hair getting touched by others. Only when it was his master that touches his hair that he doesn't feel uncomfortable
