Magic With You

After this fight, Calter had a change on mentality. His despise and looking down attitude on the Soaring Magic City vanished. He even thinks that his past self was so stupid. He might have the potential but his current strength is still too weak. How stupid of him to look down on Magic Warriors and Knights. He now started treating the City seriously

He also learned in a hard way what will happen to him if he offends people he cannot kill yet. Even with the City Lord's backing, look at what happened to Kence and him. Kence is still unconscious while he is heavily injured now. At the end of the day, one's own power is still the best weapon

You can rely on more powerful people but don't expect that they can shoulder everything for you! As of now, his goal is to become strong as soon as possible

"Call a priest. I want to be healed immediately. Let the Shan Clan pay for them" Calter said while looking evilly at the Shan Clan. For him, that Clan is his first army and also a treasure vault!

They might not be as rich as the City Lord but several hundreds of thousands of Magic Crystals were still within their limits. All that wealth now belongs to Calter!

Being healed by a priest from one of the churches is expensive but his injuries will hinder him. He doesn't have any time to waste

Otto nodded his head and arrange for some people to call a priest. Being healed by a priest is expensive but for a Marquees Clan, it won't hurt their pockets at all

Although the healers in the City Lord's manor are one of the best in the entire City but they are still weaker than Priests

"Go back in your Clan first. Make sure that all of your people will swear an oath to the God of Order to become my slave. If they don't agree directly kill them!" Calter said to the Shan Clan without any sympathy

He still doesn't know if it was the Shan Clan who commissioned for the assassin. Even if they are, it was easy to know it as they are his slaves now

The Shan Clan's heart trembled but they still bowed at Calter. As slaves now, they cannot disobey their master. Even the thought of betrayal will vanish immediately

At this time, the City Lord suddenly received a call on his sound transmission stone and his eyes lit up when he heard the news. He looked at Calter and decided to give him the good news

"Kence is awake now!" Otto said and in no more than a second, Calter's extremely tired body received a burst of strength. He didn't care if he is still injured and charged inside the City Lord's Mansion

"Calter!" Narry called out but his son just ignored him. He can only sigh helplessly

Fortunately, Calter's life is not in any threat now. The large wound on his shoulder was already sealed thanks to the City Lord

While Calter is running, a blue magic robe appeared and the youth immediately wore it without even stopping. The temperature underground was still too much for him to endure after all

If he's inside Otto's Magic Tower he doesn't need the robes but he still needs to travel some distance amidst the snow and ice

The guards were shocked to see Calter running as if his life depended on it and he even bumped on some people but he just ignored them

At almost the same time that Calter won his fight. Kence slowly opened his eyes

He saw that he's in an unfamiliar yet familiar place. He doesn't recognize the room but the general look of it was the same as the insides of the City Lord's Magic Tower

He slowly sat on the bed which startled the female guard inside the room. The woman is also a Magic Knight and she was actually ordered to protect Kence

Calter is paranoid after all. After Kence almost died like that, his impulse to keep Kence in a safe place grew. He was worried that something bad might happen while he was gone and Otto can only arrange a Knight to stand guard even though for him, his own Magic Tower is a safe place

As soon as Kence woke up, the female guard immediately contacted Otto and told him the news

Kence's mind was currently in shambles, he still wasn't able to organize his thoughts. But he feels something cold inside his chest and touched it. It wasn't an uncomfortable coldness though, in fact it slightly made him comfortable

If one look inside Kence's heart, you can see that around 2.5 inches of his heart is icy blue in color. After it grew to that size, it stopped as if the moon necklace power was drained

When Kence regained his senses, he remembered that someone sent a spell on his master's room and he was hit. Kence panicked and look at the other human in the room

"Where's my master?! Is he okay?!" Kence asked with worry before he decided to went out of bed but he suddenly felt a pain on his chest and he was forced to return on his earlier position

The woman also panicked seeing the pained expression on Kence. She knew Calter's reputation from Nan and worried about herself if something happened to this youth

"Young Master Kence don't panic! Young Master Calter is safe! You saved his life" hearing this, Kence heaved a sigh of relief. If something bad happened to his master, he won't be able to forgive himself

Calter gave him too many things, if he can't even save his life then he's a failure

"Where is my master now?" Kence asked curiously with a bit of bitterness on his heart. He doesn't know why but seeing that his master was not with him when he woke up gave him a sour feeling

"Young Master Calter is currently having a fight with the Shan Clan. I already informed the City Lord that you're awake now and I'm sure he'll say it to young master Calter" the woman replied respectfully

She's a Magic Knight but Nan's tale of how frightening Calter is, made her afraid. Calter might be weak but his cruelty to the one who hurt the youth with her is really scary

Plus, Otto favored Calter and Kence is his true disciple. How can she even dare to put some airs even though she's a Knight?

"F-fight?" Kence's face paled when he remembered his master's fight with the Shan Clan. He feels that he is too useless. He can't even be present on such occasion because he was unconscious for days. He wasn't able to give moral support to his master!

"I-Is it still ongoing? I want to come!"

The mage can only contact the City Lord again to ask about it

"The City Lord said that the fight is over. Young Master Calter won and he's on his way here"

Kence heaved a sigh of relief again. Although he wasn't there for his master, but fortunately, Calter won! That is the most important thing

His admiration for Calter rose again. A Marquees Clan is a mighty Clan for Kence yet his master won against them! This showed how much talented his master is!

Kence patiently waited for his master and after some time the room's door was violently open

From the door, emerged the panting Calter. He's out of breath now and was gasping for air

Calter feels as if time itself stopped. Kence might only be unconscious for around three days but for Calter it was as long as eternity!

Every second that passed was like a torture and he never stopped wishing for Kence to wake up

Calter's vision locked on Kence and everything else in the world vanished. The only one he can see is his Kence sitting on the bed with glee on his face when he saw him

Calter slowly moved his body to walk on Kence's direction but his speed increased after a few steps. When he finally reached the most important person on his life, he gave Kence a tight hug

Kence was shocked from that but still hugged him back before wondering why he can feel something hard on Calter's shoulder

He wants to check it but Calter was hugging him too tightly. Kence also wants to protest as it was hurting him a bit but then sense that Calter's body became heavier

"Big Brother?" Kence asked gently but Calter didn't gave him an answer. Kence then put both his hands on Calter's shoulder to push him a bit and look at his master

He saw Calter's eyes were close while his face was very pale. "Big Brother!" Kence didn't know what to do and turned to look at the woman with them

"Please call a healer! My master fainted!" Even without Kence saying it, the mage already called for some help

Kence laid his master's unconscious body on the bed and gently touched his face. "Big Brother, Big Brother wake up!" But no matter how much he tried to wake him up, Calter still remained unconscious

The youth then remember that Calter just finished a fight and he felt something hard and cold on his master's shoulder

Kence removed the blue robes covering Calter's body and what he saw inside made his tears to gather on his eyes

Calter's usual black clothes were tattered now and was soaked on his own blood. A large gaping wound can be seen on his shoulder that is covered with ice

"Y-young master" Kence's tears fell and landed on Calter's clothes. He can't help but blame himself. His master immediately heads back in the Magic Tower even though he is this injured for him

"I-I can wait.... w-why do.... you... need to h-hurry" Kence choked on his own tears and hugged Calter's body

Although Calter is still breathing and alive but Kence thought that it was his fault that his master loses consciousness. If only he woke up earlier or later then Calter doesn't need to hurry here. His master's wounds would be treated immediately

The room's door was suddenly opened again and the City Lord along with Nan, Calter's parents and another old man entered the room

Narry and Emily immediately went on their son's side before the City Lord asked them to move a bit to let the healer heal Calter. The three closest to Calter's side hurriedly moved away and the old man went to Calter's side

A green wand coiled with thin vines and leaves appeared on the healer's hand before he turned to Otto. "City Lord, please remove the ice first" Otto nodded his head and waved his hand. The ice covering Calter's shoulder vanished into specks of blue light causing fresh blood to once again leak out from the wound

The healer immediately activated his magic and green mana the color of leaves gathered on the tip of his wand. "[Nature Magic: Nature Healing!]"

Green specks of light gently flew out from the healer's magic wand and those lights seeped in to Calter's injuries. The blood coming out from Calter's wound slowly lessened until no more blood was coming out

The lose flesh also regenerated a bit but even after the healer's treatment, the wound was still visibly severe. Even the bones were broken and it will take a long time to fully heal

It was really for the best to call a priest. Their healing skills are much more potent than mages

After his healing session, the healer sigh and look at the people around. "My apologies, I can only do this much. His injuries were too severe, it will take a couple of months for full recovery"

Although Kence was relieved that his master is okay now, but he is still worried as it will take months to fully heal

"It's okay, just this much will do. We planned on calling a priest for further recovery" Otto said and the healer excused himself and went away

"How are you feeling now, Kence?" Gentleness flashed with Otto's eyes and he is happy that his disciple is awake now

"I'm okay now master.. My chest just hurts a bit" Otto nodded his head, this was expected. It will take some time too for Kence's chest to fully heal and the wound was still a bit fresh
