After Calter opened the door, he saw a servant standing outside

"What is it?" Calter coldly asked as he was interrupted. "Young Master Calter, the City Lord wants to talk to you" the servant respectfully said not daring to show any hint of disrespect

"Okay" Calter replied and shut the door on the servant's face. That servant's face twitch at how Calter acted

However, the servant was already thankful that the Young Master is like this. Other pompous young masters will bully their servants and the servant can only accept it

But although Calter is like this, he never bullied any servant before. He'll just order the servants to do things then ignore them. This master is already a 'kind' one to the servants that can be bullied by their master

Calter walk to the bed and gave the sleeping Kence a kiss on the forehead before heading out to meet the City Lord

Calter entered the room where they mostly met Otto and saw the old man was sitting on a chair with a grim expression on his face

The young master furrowed his brows and started to wonder what is wrong

Otto pointed at another chair in front of a table. Calter sat on it and waited for Otto to speak

The old man took documents from hid spatial ring and put it on top of the table "Read it"

Calter did as what he was told and started reading the documents. A dark glint flashed on his eyes because of the documents' content

"Hmm, what do you think?" Otto asked after Calter read the documents but he was surprise that Calter is smirking

"Don't worry, I already expected this outcome, or more like I want this outcome"

It's that smirk again that Calter always have when scheming against his enemies

"What do you mean?" Otto asked and Calter chuckled at him before speaking

"We showed a display of force before when my slave gave Fiery City a little trouble. However, after that, we didn't make any move again. Don't you think that will give Blaze and his subordinates the thought that maybe we are just scaring them? Especially since I ordered my servant to laylow for a while and not show himself. Fiery City wasn't able to confirm another Rank 3 Mage in Soaring Magic City"

Calter just order his slave before to attack some miners in Fiery City without killing anyone. That made Blaze to stop pressuring Soaring Magic City. However, with Calter's orders, his servant didn't show himself. Thus, their enemies aren't able to confirm if they really have another Grand Knight

Besides, Otto is an Ice Type Mage, it was common sense to think that most of his servants are also ice type mage. However, he actually had a darkness type mage subordinate that is a Grand Knight. Isn't that suspicious?

"Then what do we do?" Otto asked as he still cannot understand what Calter wants to achieve

The youth was calm though as if everything is according to his plan

"Let us continue showing weakness, don't do anything and buy the goods at a high price. Also, have someone prepare detailed documents on how much money the City lose including the ones that other cities caused" Since these cities thinks they are weak, then fan the flames and make them believe that more!

"What? But if this goes on the economy of the city will be greatly affected!" As Otto is the City Lord, he naturally doesn't want to put his city in a bad situation

If this continued without them doing anything, the loss will be mountain huge!

"Don't worry, just think of it as an initial investment!" Calter confidently said. But Otto is still having some second thoughts with this as his City's economy is the one at stake here!

"Also, please buy more darkness type mage Knight Rank prisoners for me"

However, this just caused Otto to misunderstood him and shake his head. "I told you, reaching the Grand Knight Rank is very hard. Just because you gave them cultivation manual doesn't mean you'll be able to easily raise one. Your slave might only be the result of luck"

Otto said but Calter smirked again at him. "I now have two Grand Knight slaves" Calter said and the old man's eyes visibly trembled as disbelief was shown on his face

"W-what?! Are you saying the truth?!" Otto asked while his mood become agitated

Grand Knight Mages are not some random cabbages! It was extremely hard to become one. Even with tens or even hundreds of Knights, not even one of them might become a Grand Knight

Calter is just a Magic Apprentice, how was it possible that he has two Grand Knight slaves? This is too inconceivable

"I have a bit more than fifty Knight Rank slaves; I think it won't be too surprising if one of them broke through" Calter said while chuckling a bit

True, in a hundred Knights, even one of them might not advance to the next rank even after giving them cultivation manuals

However, Calter's slaves are not normal! Even in the powerful academies or Nobility Clans, not all mages will have the chance to be taught personally by a Grand Knight Mage!

At most, a Grand Knight will take one, or two, or three disciples that they will teach personally. However, Grand Knights still wants to raise their power and won't have much time with their disciples

But Calter's slaves are different! They would be taught by a Rank 3 Mage for at least one hour a day! They might not have much resources like the rich but they have Grand Knight tutors!

Not even the real Nobilities in the whole realm has that kind of luxury. Grand Knights are prideful mages and for them, teaching their disciple a few times is already considered enough

However, Calter has different thinking! He doesn't think like the old people. His system is different. True, even after having a system like that, it wasn't a hundred percent sure that Calter can raise another Grand Knight and his second Rank 3 slave is also a bit product of luck

But his slaves' chances to advance can be higher than other people!

"That's why, don't worry City Lord, everything is under control" Calter reassured but Otto was still puzzled at one thing

"We now have 3 Grand Knights with us, why should we continue letting the City suffer a loss? If this goes public, Fiery City will immediately stop pressuring us"

With three Grand Knights, why do they need to fear Fiery City who only has two Rank 3 Mages with them?

"To make the Fiery City pay a heavy a price! All of these losses will be paid by them in at least double the amount!"

Otto's heart went cold at hearing Calter's words. This youth is really vicious! The loss that Soaring Magic City will suffer even just after a month is already an astronomical amount

However, Calter actually wants to make the Fiery City pay for it with at least double the amount! How vicious!

"But.... even with three Grand Knights, Fiery City might only compensate us a bit but they won't accept this" Otto said

Calter's plan is good but there are still some loopholes with it

"But what if we have four Grand Knights? If we declare a war, Fiery City might pee on their pants and immediately compensate us!"

Otto gulped in thinking that his City will have four Grand Knights on it. He wasn't threatened as he feels that Calter won't harm him. All he wants is for his City to really soar in the skies. Having more Grand Knight members will make his dream into a reality!

"I still didn't know if I will be able to raise more Grand Knights in a short time. However, with us having the numerical advantage in terms of Grand Knights, won't it be easy to recruit other Cities to help us? A war maybe brutal but the victor will benefit a lot! Siding with us will lessen the risk for them but the earnings will be astronomical!"

Otto can't stop himself from looking at Calter like the youth is a monster. Calter's grasp on human nature was really deep! He knew how one thing will lead to another

At first, Calter grew his force and it played a huge role in helping the City. When he met Blaze, he immediately had a brilliant plan on his mind and things went according to his plan

His slave showed a display of force to Fiery City before vanishing. This made their enemies to think they are bluffing and made a move after some time

Calter used the time he bought to have another Grand Knight. But he didn't show his cards immediately. He will wait to reap the most benefits

With the loss the Fiery City will inflict to Soaring Magic City, the latter will have the excuse to start a war. If Soaring really wants a war, it was almost a hundred percent their win as the other Cities will mostly join on the more powerful side

Even if Calter wasn't able to raise another Grand Knight, the Fiery City is already cornered without them knowing it. The more damage they inflict to Soaring, the more they will pay later!

For Otto, it was really a wise decision to support Calter!

"Then I will take my leave now and wait for more Magic Knights prisoners" Calter said before standing on his seat and exited the room leaving a shock Otto

Even if Fiery City didn't become greedy to put pressure on Soaring Magic City, Calter will still find a way to have some conflicts with other Cities

He didn't immediately enter the Enchanted Academy because his backing is still lacking and he first wants to enjoy the resources from the 'secular world'

Him, 'swallowing' the resources of other Cities is his way to enjoy the benefits of secular world

There are Cities that have five Grand Knights on them but even they are only above the weaker Cities. The backing of those at the Enchanted Academy are even more powerful!

They can easily have more than ten Grand Knights clan members. Calter's backing of three Grand Knight is like an ant in front of those forces

As of now, the City Lord can barely provide him with more Knights prisoners as they are not cheap. But soon, even the City Lord cannot help him to have more as the City might become bankrupt

That's why, Calter needs to swallow other cities! If he can, he will also try to make the experts of those cities as his slaves. Although the chances of that happening is extremely low

Calter returned to his and Kence's room to see the youth was already awake while pouting. His scheming mind turned into a mind of someone that is extremely whipped on the one he loves

Kence's pout vanished and his mood brightened when he saw Calter. He was a bit sulking when he didn't saw his master as soon as he woke up. But now, seeing Calter, his mood improved a lot

Calter's heart warmed at seeing Kence and immediately went on the latter's side

"Good morning or should I say good afternoon, you sleepyhead" Calter teased and kissed Kence on forehead

Kence's face blush a bit and gave Calter a cheeky smile. "I only overslept a bit!" The youth said to defend himself and Calter chuckled at him

"Hmm, where is my good morning kiss?" Calter asked and Kence gave him a kiss on the cheeks. However, Calter isn't satisfied with that

"Here too" Calter said while pointing at his lips

As Kence enjoyed all of their kissing session last night, he wants to make his master feel good too!

Kence put his hands on Calter's shoulder and gently pushed him on the bed. The same position as last night, Kence cornered his master between his arms which made Calter shocked once more

"Good morning, Big Brother!" Kence greeted before lowering his head to give Calter a kiss

But before his lips even touched Calter's own, their door was suddenly opened

"Surprise! Happy birthday Ke--" Emily stopped what she was about to say as she witnessed her son being pushed down by the innocent Kence again
